Okay... did my time at the gym tonight. Added another 4.4 miles toward my 100! YAY! (Along with my strength training circuit and cardio.) Have a weigh-in for another challenge tomoz morning... we'll see how that goes!

Been doing good with my calorie counts. I have to eat 3cups of RAW veggies - per the Slave Driver personal trainer. So I am now bringing baggies full of cut up celery and bell peppers (love them raw!) to work with me. It's not meant to change my daily food into ALL rabbit food... I think more that I tend to snack on whatever is convenient. If I make GOOD for me food convenient, hopefully... I will choose that over chips!! We'll see how it works out!!

Well not having TOM really paid off. I lost 3.1 to get me back down to 192.5. Woohoo. Gonna work my butt off this week and hopefully, just maybe, make it out of the 190s.

I looooovvveeee raw peppers. I don't need to dip them in anything either - red, yellow and orange though. I'm not fond of green. Carrots are also a great veggie to eat raw! I also love to munch on sugar snap peas. Yum!

Now that TOM is about out of the way, i hope I can concentrate on my weight loss. I have had a hard time with my eating this week. :( Not cool.. but Ive also had some severe depression this week, again.. im hoping i can find a way to "self medicate" it so that i don't have to keep crawling into the deep dark hole that i don't want. I hate it when i get depressed and cry all the time. I hope i didn't gain any weight this week. ;( planning dancing (just dance 2) and walking on my lunch hour today for a half hour.. ;)

Pink - Thank you for your kind words.

April, thanks for the suggestion about the DVD. I need to go to Walmart today so I'll look for it. WTG on the loss this week!!! :flowerforyou: I know what you mean about it feeling good to hear that you're appreciated. You're not JUST a mom. You ARE a mom! When our first was born, I worked full-time (PCU nurse) then after the second one came along, hubs wanted me to stay home more, so I only worked one night a month (I've been home full time for 2 years now) and I'm so happy to stay home with now all 5 of them. But it does get dis-heartening sometimes when people say, "all you do is stay home with the kids" I want to say, "I'll trade you for a day and then we'll see how you look at it."

As far as today goes, it's BEAUTIFUL outside, so I'm hoping to get some walking in. We have a high school near by that has a track. I thought about calling them and asking if I can walk during school hours. It would be perfect for me. I can put the baby in a carrier, littles 2&3 in the double stroller and the "big boy" 5 can ride his bike around. See what I mean about it being easier with the tredmill in the playroom?  Anyway, I'm going to try to go some walking in how ever I do it.

As for the rest of the challenge:

1 - we eat at home every day anyway, so I got this one down.

2 - I'm still thinking of any kind of workout that I tried that I didn't like. I don't work out a lot, and I'm pretty sure the only one I tried (last year) I liked.

3 - I try to have some time to myself to relax - usually in the shower - every night after the kids are in bed.

4 - Face my demons - hmmm, still working on this one.

I hope everyone has a great Wednesday! You're half-way to the weekend!!!!

I don't dip my veggies in anything either. The thing about carrots... while I love them, I am diabetic and they are high in sugar. I love tomatoes too, but have to be careful not to eat too many - again, high in sugar. And the peppers... I love them all! green are probably my fav! I should take the time to add that I am NOT super crazy OCD about the sugar content of things good for me!! I just try to be aware.

bj- thats what were here for.. :) Sometimes you need that extra push.. its hard to believe this group has been going on for 6 months.. ;) Whether its been successful or not, weve kept going.. ;)

To everyone in the group who HASNT got there workout in today.. Get up off your butt and move it.. Give yourself a good 20 minute workout.. Walking, wii games, aerobic, 30 day shred, P90X, going to the gym, whatever it takes. Do it before you sit here all day and do nothing. I know its nice checking in on here but we must get our workouts in if we want to see change..

I did a pilates workout on demand, and did 30 minutes of just dance 2, then on my lunch hour at work, im walking the trail for 30 minutes.. going to try to walk it a little faster.. so i can walk a little further.. :) got my day started the right way.. lets keep it going that way.. :)

CrystalS-I can see why the treadmill works better. Wow having 4 at home to get out. I only have 1 to get out, my other is in kindergarten, and with just the 1 it seems like a job just going somewhere.

Well, I'm at it again.. I want to get my hair cut and no clue what to do. I love my long hair, but all I ever do is get a few layers put in it and then keep it in a pony tail all day and the only time its not in one is either while I'm sleeping or in the shower. I'm thinking about it an inverted bob or something. Not really sure. I've had bad experiences in the past (like grade school..awkward years by themselves then throw a few bad hair cuts in there, yikes!) which has steared me clear of short cuts. Then I put on the weight and with my chubby face and a short cut, I knew better. Now that the weigh isn't as noticable in the face, I've been considering going short-ish. I know it's my hair and I'll be the end decider, but I need help! I've been going through pages and pages of hairstyles and don't seem to like anything.

Do any of you have a good hairstyle website you use? I've gone through plenty, but nothing jumps out at me. And my Great Clips has a few books sure, but they all seem either really long and boring or super short and edgy. Feel free to shoot me a message so I don't clog up the thread :)

TOM decided to show up a week early and I feel the after affects from yesterdays workout today. I only danced for 18min and decided I better not push it. I have a walk later this afternoon to look forward to though. Which will be noce with this sunny day we're having.
Hope you all are having a good Wed!

I was SO happy today. I decided to go down and give my poor tredmill one more chance and it worked wonderfully. But I don't understand that after 2 miles my tredmill said I burned 254 calories, but when I put it in MFP under the mph that I walked it says I only burned 190.

    How does that work?

Crystal - does your treadmill have a heart rate monitor that you use? Or do you have your height and weight plugged into the machine? That can affect it. When I had my hubby log his food and exercise (the same exercise I'd done that day) his calories burned was WAY higher, 'cause of his different body type. That could be the case. Either way, great job burning 200 cals, and YAY for your treadmill coming back from the dead! Maybe we should name him Zombie. ;)

Bru - do you have a favorite female celeb? What helped me look for hairstyles was cruising around IMDb.com and other celebrity photo places. I settled on Jayma Mays' 'Emma Pillsbury' look and printed out the pic and took it with me to the salon. See if celeb pics helps you. I'm sure you'll find something perfect for you!

Happy hump day! Today's my weigh-in day and I'm down to 170.4, which is a 2.4 loss from last week. I can't believe I'm almost to the 160's! Just seems unreal.

    WooHoo!! YAY for you!!

I had fried chicken for dinner. Something I haven't eaten in... FOREVER! But it WAS homemade!! And... it was delicious, if I do say so myself!! Oh well, I only had one thigh... skinless... floured, breaded, then fried. I had to kinda guess on the calories from what was on MFP. But I only had time for celery for lunch... so I guess that evens it out?!

Thing is... it was kind of salty. So I KNOW I will pay for that!! :frown:

Oh... have a gf "date" at the gym tonight. I am hoping I will still be able to get my full workout in! I am usually so focused on my workout and getting the most out of the time... Besides, I can barely breathe when I do cardio, let alone TALK!

I did my pilates on demand, just dance 2 for wii, and i walked on my lunch.. what equaled 3 miles, I loved it.. I pushed myself a little further in the 30 minutes.. Walked an extra mile total.. :) My calves were killing me but it was ok.. :)

cazz - sometimes fried chicken is that the only thing that is going to be satisfying. You showed amazing restraint! Every now and then I get a crazy craving for Mrs. Knott's fried chicken...I think that stuff is THE best...and it actually reminds me of Knott's Halloween Haunt and all of the fun stuff that is involved with that. You been to Haunt?

April - You did so great with your exercise today! Focus on the good and put the bad in the past. :)

Yep, been to halloween haunt a few times... but it's been awhile! :) as far as the fried chicken goes... it isn't something i make very often. i actually made it because my son asked for it tonight. sometimes, i wish i didn't have to cook for him and i would only keep stuff that i want to eat in the house!! LOL (bad, bad mom!)

I KNEW I would pay for that salty fried chicken! Woke up with swollen fingers... HATE when that happens! Water retention... ugh! :grumble:

Plus, I had to weigh-in for my other challenge this morning and only showed a 0.3# loss. THAT kills me! That's why I love MFP and these challenge groups... you guys help keep me honest and hold me accountable. I need that! So, thanks... for being here!! :flowerforyou:

OH! And meeting my friend at the gym... not such a good idea for me! I DID get in my usual elliptical workout but went MUCH slower than normal! After that, we just chatted. :frown:

Morning h20ers.. i hope you are all having a great day. Remember to get up off your butt, and move that body. Have to work on burning those calories.. :) Remember to think twice before putting something "bad" in your mouth. Is it really worth it. I too have been guilty of this lately, so im trying to make me think of my consequences. Today, when i woke up, I was standing in front of the mirror in the bathroom admiring my stomach. Its crazy how much its shrunk. And here I thought it hasn't If wasn't bloated soo much from eating junk this week it would look even better. I feel better about myself then i have in a long time. even with my weakness moments Ive had this week. i feel confident. i had more compliments from my co workers yesterday. One of the ladies i work with called me skinny.. :) that was sweet of her.

hope you are all having a great week. keep motivated.. :)

Thanks for reminding me April to post this..

So yesterday, I walked to the bowling alley (2 miles round trip) to watch my brother, Drew, bowl. Naturally they were on lanes right in front of the food area and d@mn those nachos and cheese smelt amazing!! But I didn't buy anything, I just drank 44oz of water instead and then headed home once the game was over. Yay me!!

Well, as you can see from my ticker... I did another 5 miles today! Whew!!! This time I had one "warm up" mile, three miles at a quicker pace, then another "cool down" mile. It was tough, but I powered through. Helped that I had a fun game show on the tv while pounding that treadmill. Can't wait for spring when I can pound the pavement instead! I love to watch the birds and squirrels and otters and ducks, and smell the flowers and see all sorts of people out for walks and runs and bike rides and whatever! But for now... it's the treadmill. And it's alright!

Oh, and since today's my weigh in day I get to share MORE good news!!!! I was down 3 pounds from 2 weeks ago (last week was a 0 week) and I feel amazing! Getting dressed after my shower today I noticed that there was NO muffin top at ALL over my jeans.. major accomplishment! In fact, the tummy is so much smaller than usual... it's just awesome!

Ok, one more awesome thing happened to me today.. my son (who's in 9th grade) made the HONOR ROLL for the FIRST time EVER!!!! I'm so stinking proud of him I could just cry.. and I did!!! He even let me hug him (at home with noone watching of course) but I'm super duper proud of him because he really struggles in school even though he's really smart and he really worked hard this marking period and proved to himself that he CAN do it!!!! Yahoo!!! Proud mama alert!!!!

Anyway, hope you all have great Thursday's!!!! I wish every day was as good as this one!!!

Wow so much happy and awesome in here today! I love it!

Modeling plans fell through, but whatever. I'm going to go treat myself to a pair of cute heels I saw in the clearance section of Marshall's yesterday...just hoping they're still there

After my small workout this morning (Just Dance 2 for 20 minutes), I went out with my hubby for a while. Recycled cans on our way to our destination.. Got a little bit of money out of them. Went browsing around a few shops.. Going to add one more mile to my ticker, Im sure we walked atleast a mile today.. :), went bowling for an hour (added that into my exercising), went to Popeyes (ive always wanted to try there chicken, very pleased not as salty as most chicken places.. good food), came back towards home. Hubby stopped at Micky D's and got us Shamrock Shakes, and we went up north to the "adult" store and he got me something.. ;) which was sweet of him. It was a much needed evening out, after a very rough start to my week. About to call it a night to spend some more time with him. Hoping he doesnt get called out tonight.. :) Its been wonderful not having to worry about the darn phone ringing.. <3ed the time we spent together.. Very good, hoping it will help with my weight loss this week.. :) Meaning happiness could be GOOD for the weight loss.. :) Trying to get rid of this depression for good.. Although i know it will be hard..

Hi H2O buddies...I am back! Wonderful vacation with my hubby. We had the most fun we have had in a long time. Of course, eating was not good but I did walk enough miles to wear down my new shoes!
I might jump on the scale tomorrow morning to see what it says...then it is back to hitting the treadmill and counting my calories.

    talk to you all soon!

April - brown chicken brown cow on the adult store purchase! ;D Glad to hear you had a nice day with your hubby. I really do think that happiness is an important part of weight loss, I hope you find that to be the case as well!

Linda - yay you're home safe and sound. WTG on wearing down your shoes already! Good luck with the scale. :)

Had a fun evening - went to Marshalls and got the shoes I wanted, and then found a sexy little dress in a size - wait for it - 9! It fit me better around the waist than the 11, but I definitely need to get back to work on leg lifts and planks...tummy is in need of toning. It was just fun shopping by myself and spending as much time as I wanted perusing the racks and going in and out of the fitting room. Then met up with my mom at her art club demo. Yeah, that's a decent Thursday.

Hope everyone had a good day!!

Mornin' Ladies! Sounds like everyone's making great progress.

Pink - your shopping trip sounds like fun! YEAH for the size 9!!!!!!!

Ceelovejay - that's great about your daughters letter! Congratulations!

    Nurse - welcome home!

April - I'm glad you had a nice evening with your hubs. You are doing GREAT!! Keep up the good work. :flowerforyou:

I just have this feeling that I'm not going to be down for my weigh-in Monday. :ohwell: I have done good on my food and it seems like I eat a lot and I'm REALLY full, but I still have calories left over. Last night it was like 641 left over. :noway: I have it set at 1800 calories, because I'm exclusively breast feeding my baby, so I want to make sure I have enough for her. But it seems like I can hardly eat that much.

Anyway, even with all of that, I still have felt "fluffy" this week, so I'm not sure the scales will be down. I did manage to get one mile in yesterday on the tredmill (Zombie  ) before he died his second death. :ohwell: Maybe I'll try him again. Eventually, I'm sure it will just not come on for good, but it's worth the try.

We have to go out of state today and we're going to some friends where they're going to have dinner for us. :ohwell: Hopefully, they will have a salad, or something that isn't too bad for me. I sure won't complain though. I'll just keep my trusty water and almonds and maybe I won't be too hungry.

Hope everyone has a great Friday!!
