Before you started eating healthy..what was your WORST food

I was just thinking today how much my eating has changed!

I remember in High School EVERYDAY my friends and I would go to the grocery store and eat Bavarian Cream filled doughnuts with chocolate frosting, potato wedges and washed it all down with a large Mountain Dew. I use to have such BAD chocolate cravings I would eat hot coco mix right out of the container with a large spoon!

Geesch sure wish I knew then what I know now.. glad to be looking forward to a new way of life :)

Tuna Helper. I would make some for lunch at least once a week. Could be worse, except for I would eat half a package for one meal, and then have the rest the next day. Or sometimes I would have the second half for an afternoon snack. :embarassed:

    same as above,
fast food.. burgers and fries, and any kind of pizza buffet. I haven't managed to totally eradicate it from my eating, but I'm attempting to eat less of it by examining the amount of calories that's in the thing I love most! I find doing that helps a lot, so you don't eat as much of it..

Chinese Buffet: the General's chicken, fried rice, fried egg rolls with duck sauce...you name it I ate it all at one sitting.....I don't reallly miss it now. About the only thing I miss now is fried buffalo chicken wings with thick chunky blue cheese dressing. Oh well. :-)

I used to be able to eat a whole large tomato pie with mushrooms and extra parmesan cheese, a large order of cheese fries, and several 2 liter bottles of Pepsi, followed by a 1/2 gallon of ice cream. It was disgusting and embarrassing.

Oh yeah, I forgot - BEER. And not the light beer either. More like 200-calorie-a-bottle IPAs.

    Let's see:

Oreos (ate an entire pack in one sitting back when I was a skinny 8th grader!!)
    Cookie dough blizzards
    Potato Chips
    School Foods
    Little Debbies
    Cookies
    Cake
    High sugar cereal

My number one is belgian waffles with melted butter in every little square, and Aunt Jemima maple syrup- about 1000 calories, and on really good days I'd have TWO for breakfast

I'll 3rd the Chinese buffet. Each visit was 2-3 plates full of fried junk and calorie laden sauces. I still love Chinese food, but just can't imagine doing that again.

I went through a phase where I ate Dunkin Donuts berry crunch donuts at least 3 times a week (and at least 3-4 donuts at a time). Once they stopped selling them (and the lady at the drive thru knew me by name :embarassed: ) I started having a 20 oz bottle of Coca Cola, package of beef jerky, and two Simply Carmel bars as a snack most days a week.

When my brother and I were home alone we would take brownie or cake mix and make the mix but we wouldn't bake it. We would just eat the raw mix out of the bowl. So wasteful because after a few spoonfuls we'd get sick! Yuck. We thought it was so good though.

IHOP. The breakfast "special" with two eggs over easy, hash browns, fruit and whipped cream topped pancakes and two slices of bacon.

Oh, where to start? I used to be a baker and a cook, so: cappuccino brownies, mint brownies, glazed doughnuts (they taste best when they are fresh, so you just want to eat the entire dozen, and I probably tried at some point) chicken stuffed with large amounts of bacon and cheese, pancakes with lots of butter and syrup, potato pancakes with cheese and full-fat sour cream, cheesecake, flourless chocolate cake, vanilla tea cakes, lots and lots of chewy chocolate chip cookies, muffins, and cupcakes, but, possibly the worst was when I'd make french toast with homemade cinnamon cream syrup and eat four slices, with a side of eggs and bacon. I ate large amounts of oil, butter, cheese, sugar, and all the carbs I could stuff into my body. :ohwell:

Oh man. I am a Pastry Chef by trade, so you can only imagine what I have at my disposal EVERY DAY! Every day was dipped in semi-sweet chocolate ganache. Cookies with abandon. Plenty of hours logged at the Chinese fried buffets and for the longest time my family nickname was, The Butter Queen. I figured it out once and at my heaviest, I was eating an average of 4lbs of butter a month, just by myself. Between baking, spreading and toast! The absolute worst was when I popped a bag of buttered popcorn and sprinkling little bits of cold butter over the top and ate the ENTIRE thing in front of the television. Oh man, there was a reason I was almost 300lbs. A hedonistic lifestyle will do that. Sigh...

I think its worse when you KNOW how to cook exceptionally evil things, ala restaurant style. Full fat and unapologetically rich and tasty. Sometime I wonder if I was an accountant if perhaps I wouldn't have gotten so heavy.
