I just wanted to post again because I wanted to revise my mini-goals. I'm at a point where the weight isn't coming off as fast as it had been (I was losing 5-6 lbs a month on average). Also, the first three weeks kept going back and forth instead of the steady decrease each week that I had been having up until that point.

well, poop. updated my goals; i knew the last ten pounds would be hard, but i didn't realize just HOW hard.
still doing well! calories for Tuesday ended up being incredibly low - I exercised in the morning and had a meeting in the afternoon where we had veggies and hummus to snack on, and then a birthday celebration with a friend at the local japanese steakhouse where I skipped the hibachi fare* and had soup, salad and a cucumber roll...so it was all healthy, there just wasn't much of it, and I tried to compensate a little on Wednesday (took a day off from the exercise because OW, 30 DAY SHRED).
(*I used to work for one of these and it turns out working at one is a great way to no longer like anything there, because it's all you'll ever eat. I haven't had any in two years now and I've never craved it, not even once.)
bumped up to level 2 of the 30 day shred and the calorie burn on that plus a 5-minute dance party warmup was INSANE - over 300 calories! i can already tell i'll be hurting so i've got a long soak in an epsom salt bath planned, and possibly a stop at the grocery store for some coconut water (YUM).
so - i'm not losing at the pace i'd hoped i would, BUT i'm still feeling pretty good and seeing changes even if they're not in the form of numbers...usually this time of the month i'm feeling like an overfull water balloon, but I'm not. My mood is better. And...I'm almost afraid I'll jinx it by saying so...but I actually saw some definition in my abs when I was changing into my workout clothes. It was like "Oh, hi there. Haven't seen you since high school, howya been?"
