Well, I was doing great this past week with my exercise and now I have an upper respiratory infection! Ugh! I really hate getting sick, especially respiratory infections because they just totally shut me down. I almost acted stupidly and tried to push through another workout when I felt it coming on but I didn't. If you can't breath, you can't exercise right? This was not how I'd planned to start off this challenge. Guess I'll just have to work extra hard as soon as I'm well. Happy Monday everyone!

I hope you get better soon.
My weekend was great, i love camping but i did not log in my food & i am very sure i was over my cals ( eat wrong types of food) . I done loads of walking every day plus my friends & i danced around the maypole (1hr & a half) which was great fun. I am so glad i got up @ 3:30am to do the morning & what a beautiful sunrise it was. I will do it again next year.

Down 1.4 for the week. Hit my half way to 200 goal last week and took a few days off so I'm not too upset with this. Still down 4 in 2 weeks!

how come it is so easy to gain 2 pounds, but so hard to lose it? lol.

how did the challenge go for everyone? i did horribly. i repeat, horr.i.bly. i had something sweet nearly every day this week. i am not sure why since i have never considered myself a sweets kind of person. i scarfed down a cadbury egg and a bowl of rocky mountain road ice cream, even while telling myself to walk away! bleck! but the challenge made me more aware of what i was doing so i can change my ways.

i meant to fast today, but i got up with hubby and had breakfast with him before he left for work (he has been leaving by 6 am and not getting home until 8:30 pm - it's been a long week already). oops! not sure what i should do. pretend it didn't happen and fast the rest of the day or start fresh and fast tomorrow. i am having a hard time making up my mind. i hate when i get wishy-washy.

i am proud of all the losses i see! keep it up, folks. you are inspiring me!

I hear ya !! It gets tough when you're closer to your goal weight. For me it seems like I can be good (Not Cheat) for a week and see little or no progress. Then on the other hand - If I take my eye of the ball for just one day I seem to gain 5 pounds overnight. (Exagerated a Little there). All I can suggest is keep doing the right things and eventually you'll break your plateau. Lately I've been have moderate success with HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) and an exercise protocol called Tabatos.

Of course there is no magic bullet but maybe trying something different instead of just working harder at the same old things will get you movin in the right direction again. I've heard of the term GAS (Genral Adaptation Syndrome). Our wonderful bodies get effecient and adapt to whatever torture we put them to. So, we have to keep mixing things up to keep our muscle and fat confused and more adaptable to the changes we are tryin to make.

Anyway, I know its tough and I hear your pain. Hang in there:tongue:

It has been a long day, i have visited my sister & it was great to see her & my nieces. I have done so much walking to day, up & down steep hills, running as well. I was that tired i fell asleep for 5 minutes, my darling son told his dad over the phone "Mummy had the little kitten asleep on her boobies & it's funny" @ the train station in front of people. Well it made them chuckle & smile.

Down three pounds so far! Great motivation just knowing I have to report! :)
Leaving for a one week vacation this week with friends and a little undecided about what to do. Don't really want to take my food scale and weigh everything, etc. Plus, I know we'll be eating out a lot. Just thinking to keep it reasonable and get fully back on track afterward. What do y'all think? Have any of you ever taken a week long break from logging before?

I took the whole month of December off and it was actually kind of nice. I gained a little but if you eat reasonably you'll be fine. I'm sure for the most part you know what foods are good and which should be avoided so do your best, don't stress and enjoy your vacation!

So my battery died on my scale yesterday, and I went and bought a new one so that I would not fail to report and guess what....I'm still NOT reporting this week after all lol! TOM is due in a few days and I was so disgusted by the gain (which I'm sure is water) that I don't even want to share. What I will share is that I finally went down a pants size and am finally starting to see changes in my glutes, hamstrings and quads...which is where I needed the most work. So, only visible changes this week! See y'all next week!

yestereday was a crazy day for me. sorry this is late!

if anyone wants to do a challenge this weekend, it is: TO FIND A CAUSE YOU BELIEVE IN AND DONATE $5. i will post the challenge on thursdays after the weigh-in. it will be a random idea and you can chose to participate or not. if you do, have fun knowing that you helped make a difference! :)
