if anyone wants to do a challenge this weekend, it is: TO REFLECT ON YOUR BEST PHYSICAL FEATURE AND HOW YOU CAN HIGHLIGHT IT. i will post the challenge on thursdays after the weigh-in. it will be a random idea and you can chose to participate or not. if you do, have fun emphasizing the best physical part of yourself! :)

went off the deep end on saturday...ate way too much...but tried to exercise some of it away. Sunday i turned it all around...with a 45 minute workout when i first got up and then went out grocery shopping, so now the house is stocked with good food. i am swearing off drinking ALL week...i got a dvd player this weekend and am hoping to do this pilates dvd i have all week...so i am hoping some big results! I hope you and everyone else on the challenge are doing great!

Janna - Great job for turning it around!

I'm having a great weekend - I ran/walked about 4 miles on Saturday, then did an easy 30 min jog/walk today with a 45 min strength training session afterwards. I bought new running shoes, but they're very different, so I'm breaking them in slowly. I'm fully recovered after the awful binge that was Wednesday/Thursday last week. :drinker:

the weekend was good. in-law were in town so we went to a rockies game friday night. had the best seats ever! 8 rows from the field, right in between the dugout and homeplate. got a couple of good shots of my boy, seth smith. whoot! saturday was baseball games for the kids. crappy, rainy weather. then bowling. sunday was oldest first communion and then lunch at texas roadhouse before the in-laws left. got in a 5 mile walk, but my incision is bothering me now.

no time to reflect on my best physical feature and how to highlight it. did anyone else come up with something?

this week is not great for me. i have a sick kiddo at home from school and early release day from school tomorrow. yuck! we have 3 nights of baseball games and youngest kiddo's birthday party. friday is the one year anniversary of my dad's death. more baseball games on saturday. also i was invited to a scrapbooking party (which normally i'd love, but i feel too low to enjoy). i am feeling blue and tired. nothing tastes good but i want to eat everything in sight. sigh.

    three weeks until my half-marathon.

So Sorry I have not been getting no here weekly. I get distracted so easily.
I am on week 6 of couch to 5K and have been really happy with myself and my progress (most of the time). I also started Pilates/Yoga again, and I have enjoyed the "down" time type of exercise. Saw a big loss this week. Not sure what its about, but I'll take it for now. Adjusted my calories b/c I was not eating all my exercise calories before and now I am trying to.

Back in the 160s. Headed in the wrong direction still this week:grumble: It's no real excuse .... but the weather here has not been very spring like and I think that eats away at my "Summer Soltice" attitude. Hey - it is suppose to be in the 70s all week here in eastern WA - so excuses are over!!!! Next week I'm leaving the 160s behind and making a noise dive at towards the 140s.

So I started the Dukan diet last Thursday. After my weigh in last Wednesday there was really no stopping me haha. I feel really good and I'm super happy because my numbers are down. I like it because although it is low carb I'm allowed bran everyday so I make some little bran pancakes and they are so tasty! I'm also not hungry at all although day three I felt I little off I think my body was adjusting to the lower amount of carbs. The dukan website says if I stick with it threw to the 4th of July I'll be at 135lbs! So I just maybe might make my goal by the end of this contest. WOOO!

Hey Megoo19 and Monky13grl. I’ve got a challenge for both of you to consider??? You both have about 6 pounds to get to your goals and I worked my way up to 12 pounds now. My challenge is to see which one of us can be the first make it to our goals. Meego has the Duken thing going on and Monky lost 4 pounds last week so you both seem to have a good thing going. I just need the extra motivation. No pressure – If you don’t want to take on this personal challenge from a Big Loser like me I can appreciate that. However, I will be lookin at your results for my own motivation. Only 5 weeks til Summer.

Celebrated my birthday three different times then went on vacation in Hawaii and decided to just enjoy myself. No exercise and poor eating choices can sure put the pounds back on fast! Gonna work REALLY hard to see if I can still make that 136 lb goal!! Awesome to see the progress others have made. I am back with you now!!

I went swimming today for the first time this year. Signed up for a program called Iron May where you try to complete a full triathlon in one month instead of one day. I've put off the swimming part until today - I think your challenge was a sign I needed to get in the pool (19 days into May already). Anyway I use to remember swimming a mile in less than 40 minutes. Today it took me 30 minutes to swim half of a mile and I don't think my arms will be able to move for the rest of the week. :grumble: Now I've only got 1.9 miles to go to finish my IronMay. I wonder how long it will take doing a back stroke only using my feet????
