Shannon, I made them at lunch time and planned to eat them this evening...so that dinner is early and before the game...they were restaurant quality...mmmm, good...ate it with leftover porkchop and green beans
Got about 4 inches cut off my hair today...maybe, it will be an ounce in the right direction...but then, Jessica got her lobbed off too.
Mmmmm! I may have to try that one day. I'll get a sweet potato to pop in the micro for hubby.
I'm trying to talk myself out of suggeting Logan's for dinner. I have the cals - I should avoid the sodium - and should save the money. But, I don't feel like cooking and need to go to that side of town anyhow. The good thing about that is if we go there, I won't eat later, I'll be good to go for the night. Hmmmm.
Yeah Kim - I think Jessica beat you on the weight loss from hair for sure. :laugh:0 -
Shannon, what would you eat there? Avoid soups, cheese and gravies. Or, is there something you could whip up at home with ease...sandwiches, grilled meat...I'm making tacos for the family and I'm having a salad and Italian sausage (leftovers)0

Off the dreadmill... DH suggested shrimp alfredo for dinner..... not gonna happen. Told him tonight was not a good night to carbo load. So it will be japanese vegtables with the shrimp thrown in at the last moment with maybe some rice. Carbo load tomorrow.
Wow, with all the haircuts there should be some big numbers on the scale! :bigsmile:0 -

The alfredo sounds yum...but, the sodium, fat and carbs is a dangerous combo...:noway: good job on switching it up...I think he suggested lasagna one time before  :laugh:0 -
Scale has dropped a little again this morning woohoooo! I'm excited for weigh in!
I have lots of cleaning to do today as we have visitiors tonight for state of origin (football how ****, I hate sport) thanks to the ex inviting them over.
Then some dreadmill. Nothing but lovely low cal meals tonight and lots of water. TOM is about to hit me today though so it better not screw with the scale or I'll be pissed.
Well done everyone on reigning in over the last few days. Good luck! :flowerforyou:0 -
My kiddos made the decision for me...they wanted leftover homemade chicken noodle soup again. Ill need more than that but I rt ll save me a ton of sodium to be sure.
Ive been maintaining when ive looked but id be happy if I could lose just a little. At least its no rt a gain. We'll find out in the morn.0 -
EVERYGOAL MET!!!
Eating an early dinnner at 5:30...absolutely no food or water after 7:30
5 Fruits/Veggies
Low sodium
No booze...not even an option for today
81 minutes of exercise
96 oz of water :drinker:
Girlfriend called to go to $1.00 burgers and pitchers of beer...DECLINED :grumble: I am hoping for something tomorrow, even if it's a 0.4 lb...:ohwell:
Faith, didn't you win Immunity last time?? Congrats on the scale movement. Sorry about the unwanted guests...maybe, play some music for them. ha, ha, ha.0 -
:drinker: woohooo on meeting all your goals.
Yeh I did win immunity last time, but it makes me lazy. It would be nice though.
Me playing loud music against a loud footy fans' game? I don't like my chances. If I can hibernate in my room and get away with it I'd be happy!0 -
Yeh I did win immunity last time, but it makes me lazy. It would be nice though.
Faith, I imagine if you don't want immunity...you could donate it!!! That way, it will keep you mojo going.
Well Muscle Busters...it's looking good so far...hopefully, we can win this week
I bought a deli salad today...kale, granny smith apples (diced), blueberries, feta cheese, almonds, green onions, canola oil, lemon juice, fresh garlic and red pepper flakes
I'm new to kale...but, it's supposed to be a superfood....I'm thinking it's something our horse, Buddy, would enjoy
I got some nice exercise in today and hoping that I will have some calories left for some red, red wine :drinker:0 -
Faith...just wanted to let you know that you were super inspirational for me the past few days...with all the company and events that I needed to attend, I had a small loss rather than a gain...so glad that you listed the goals
Plus, I finished Week 1, Day 4 of the C25K...I feel so good about it!!!0 -
Yay! I am really glad you had a loss and not a gain also. We can't lose you! You are most welcome, as this comp has motivated me heaps. This second half of my weight loss seems to be moving off faster than the first half. I hope it keeps up. I hope our team pulls off a win this week. Glad Brit stole Debbie
I say we keep up the momentum this week, as I am keen to hit the 15kg lost mark ASAP! I dunno if I can pull off a 1.4kg loss but I'm willing to try.
Ok - here goes
Must exercise 7 days this week, 30 minutes min daily.
Must be under cals 6/7 days this week. (my cals went down due to losing weight booooooooooo!) :brokenheart:
Once again lots of water intake.
Try to finish eating by 7pm. (This one will be hard due to work schedule)
Replace cup of black tea with green tea at least 4 times this week at breakfast time. (Has good weight loss benefits):bigsmile:0 -
Yes, Brit did good picking Deb. Brit surprised everyone that week, sneaking in for the win. :smokin:
I like the idea for green tea as well. I drink black tea because of the caffeine. But, hey, can't hurt any in the weight loss department right? Counts toward fluids as well
Just be careful about dropping weight too fast...make sure that you are eating plenty enough of good nutrients.
Hey, no mention of liquor??? Are you quitting for the week?
You would be OK eating a later dinner if need be...just not before weigh-in :noway:
I think you might be this week's winner...ha, ha, I am hoping it is someone else because I like you sooooo motivated...anyhow, if you are the winner, we have to have an evil-ish discussion who is going to get hit with it.
I will be continuing on the C25K program and exercising goal of 360 minutes per week.
Lots of good home cooking, 5 F/V per day and logging consistently
96 oz of water/day
Limit of 15 drinks per week after exercising to EARN it (like tonight he, he)
I work this weekend and I have no company or events to consider this week :ohwell: This means I "should" do what they call "behave" :bigsmile:0 -
Hmmm haven't thought about the alcohol!0

Faith has me beat on % so that is good because I did not want immunity or having to choose somebody for a .5 disadvantage. Like she said, maybe immunity makes us not work as hard. Of course this time next week when I don't lose anything I might be crying.
I found that if I don't eat up to all my calories I hold on to weight. Of course this is my expert opinion based on a whopping 6 weeks. Ya'll be your own judge.
Now just a what if.... Fat Fighters lose (one of the very FEW times I may remind you) there are two people who stayed the same so how would you determine who is going home? And why not keep them both in play since we are already a week ahead of schedule due to the people who withdrew? Just an idea.0 -
One other note, don't weigh with your camera in your hand..... put it on the side and pick it up AFTER your weight has registered. :laugh:0
-
Oh, Debbie...that is a sneaky little trick with the camera...oh, and your 6 whooping weeks have proved to be significant
Well...if the FFs lose this one...the one eliminated would be the one with the least amount of % lost.
Debbie, since your on our team now...who do you think should get penalized if Faith wins it? :devil:0 -

If 2 people lost 0, how would you calculate the %?
Question #2, right now I would say Eva, very very consistent. Not real chatty so I don't know what she is doing but it is working.0 -
I start with their beginning weight from the start of the contest....0

Well, it's time to get serious. My night of shenangians is over and done with. I am going to try my hardest to hit 171 this week. That would be a 1.8 lb loss.
One of us needs to win the prize for next week since I will be in dire need of the advantage. My lushy sister arrives next Thursday and leaves on Sunday.
I work Friday, Saturday and Sunday so I will "behave". I'll just need to make sure I get my workouts in. I am off on Monday and Tuesday; so, I will definitely get my hour of cardio in. Then, I believe I am scheduled for 2 - 12's on Wednesday and Thursday. Those are long days for sure.
Faith...I think the goal of assigning the disadvantage is to which player might be the biggest loser next week. Jeez, how hard is that to figure out? Faith...it's your decision, just giving my input
Accountantboi has been 1 of the top 2 contenders for past weeks, definitely a threat. I think the disadvantage would probably motivate him more!!
Evaitryst, as Debbie said, very consistent. She's not high or low each week, just steady. Always 1.2 to 1.8 lbs. Can one of us beat her?
April has a good loss and it might be hard for her to do 2 weeks in a row...she's in the 150's, lower weight than others
Heather has not had good weight loss since the beginning...might rally this week? - or - loss of mojo? Wildcard
I have to go be productive now...0 -
I just have to say that I'm glad I don't have to make that decision...
Ok, I want to get my workout in tonight, but still go to bed somewhat early, like before 11pm, which isn't that hard if I just go to bed. I have tomorrow off so I am hoping my sleep will be caught up today.
I am working towards staying home on Saturday instead of going to Flint. Unless hubby wants to go, or can get into the doc, we will be staying home. That means, I can get a workout in as I took my rest day last night. But, we'll see.
Food shouldn't be all that hard for me this week. I don't want to spend a lot of money so that helps me to eat at home. We may go to my dad's for a cookout on Sunday but that won't be too bad either. It usually consists of meat, green beans, potato. I can ask for or bring a salad. I love salad.
I'm not likely to win...ever...but I am hoping to lose poundage.
Pssssttt - I fell my motivation coming back.0 -
Glad the mojo is back...if you could lose 2 lbs next week that would be great. I'm glad I don't have to make the decision either. I just want to win next week so that we have the advantage d/t that lushy sister coming. I think Immunity would have been better.
I don't believe I will ever be the winner because I have no self-control some days. Although, I looked at the chips that were on special and walked away without them. I just can't have them in the house. The kids don't really need them either.
Eating out is the bad part. I've been experimenting with different salads by adding fruits like blueberries, apple, strawberries. A little cheese is good too. I even tried kale yesterday, learned it is in the cabbage family. I've heard that Newmanns has a light lime dressing that could be really good.
Here's a good lunch that I like: Tomato soup, low sodium (1 cup), hi-fiber English Muffin with laughing cow swiss spread on it. I paired it with an orange today...yummo and filling...I got the idea from Self magazine.
I really like doing the C25K...although, it's just my first week.0 -
I'm glad I got immunity as TOM is killing me. Although I did do my 30 mins yesterday despite a headache and belly pains. I will still try to stay motivated anyways as my loss helps the team win.
I'm thinking accountantboi as he always seems my biggest threat in losing more than me  He may be motivated enough as it is anyways since they lost this week.
Eva is sick I believe, I think it'd be a kick in the guts to have to try and workout against that.
April is mah fellow lush :ohwell:
If anyone has a good argument over who should be chosen let me know.0 -
I think accountantboi and Heather could be the biggest threats...Heather was dead even on the scale...the boi is super motivated0
-
Decision announced, accountantboi it is. Posted in thread my choice. I know he will do well anyways and doubt he will be eliminated.
Now come on girls let's do this another week!! :devil:0 -

Well, yeah - you can't give it to a fellow lush! :glasses:
I ate a candy bar today, a real honest to goodness full size 210 calorie candy bar. And it wasn't even that good. It was free.... does anybody else have problems resisting free food? We have bagels every payday and birthday cake twice a month but you have to actually go to a certain room, this was just put into my hand.0 -
I absolutely have a hard time saying no to free food. Its free!! I havent come by much of it lately so thats good.
I did my turbo fire tonight and felt great! I wasnt tired and had lots of energy somehow.
I didnt make it to bed by 11 but im headed there now. We will have a great week all!!!0 -
Alright, well I've made it through another week ( I told my husband I thought I was going to get kicked out this week ) I guess that means I should take this opportunity to really get back in the game and not get kicked out next week.
I did a lot better with my soda intake vs. water intake today. I actually made myself drink mostly water and avoided a diet soda at lunch, so I ended up with only my one "allowed" soda at dinner. Now to get my diet back under control and work out getting in some exercises. I feel like even though I've still lost a few pounds recently, I'm getting fatter looking in my stomach. I may just be nuts, but I think it's because of my lack of exercise lately.
How is everyone else doing this week?0
