wow, just, wow. She's not messing about is she?? It is totally different from 30DS but I loved it! I know I'll be feeling it tomorrow (especially doing it after 2 hours of belly dancing!)

One question... My arm felt like it was going to buckle doing the side plank. I just don't think I'm strong enough to hold my weight that way. Any ideas on how to modify it r do you think my form might be off?

I was a bit unsure of some of the moves because I didn't watch it before I did it, but I reckon that is just going to take me a couple of days to ge used to.

    :)

The side plank lifts are hard. Try doing just normal planks instead then when u have some spare time try doing just a normal side plank with one foot slightly in front of the other. I actually found I could do these if I wore trainers (better grip) so ended up doing them in the gym instead of at home during my DVD workout. You could also do plank twists instead which are on L2. U may find those easier. Checkout YouTube "jillian michaels plank twists"

Ps do u find this harder than 30DS? I was thinking of getting it but I really enjoy how hardcore this DVD is.

I had the same problem not being strong enough to support my weight. Well, once I really got my legs and arm positioned in good form I was able to (barely), but by then she was already on to the next move! I just substituted the side plank raise thingy (body supported on the elbow) from level 3 of 30DS. Hopefully once I get into the rhythm of 6W6P a bit better, it will be easier and faster to get into correct form.

    Also, wow seconded.

I found these impossible at first - katrob exactly like you describe!

I did the side plank raise thing from L3 30DS too until I felt I could do 1/2 a set on an extended arm each side and then increased. On Monday I managed both sets both times, yesterday my wrist wasn't having it!

What I found (and still find) difficult is that whilst I can do the 1st set, but then when you follow it with the spider planks (also not nice) and the mountain climbers (defo not nice 2nd time round!), my supporting wrist on the 2nd set is knackered!

So pleased I'm not the only one who struggles with them. Great idea substituting from level 3 of the shred. I'll do that til my weight doesn't resemble a hippo!

I have only done one day, but I think it is not necessarily harder than the shred, just totally different. There is a lot more jumping about in the shred whereas this is more strength training. My heart was still pounding by the end of this like! Looking forward to tonight! :)

I do miss the shred though - maybe I could drag myself out of bed earlier and do the shred before work and then 6 week 6 pack when I get home...

Something about the shred just doesnt convince me enough. Also I think it would be hard for me to commit to doing it every single day with my little girl around! I would feel awful if I missed a day. I would rather choose something that I can see through. Thinking of getting "Banish fat and boost metabolism" next.

Feel quite sad that my last day of 6W6P is tomorrow. I think I might do an extra week... lol

I've got Banish Fat, NMTZ and 30DS and NMTZ is definitely my fav out of all of them! but if you're looking for something to do next check out the 30Day Slimdown its a plan by jillian to rotate all of these workouts and slowly up your exercise I finished it before I went away and loved it.

I'm on day 3 today and I've had to leave it until late because of work, it's nearly 11pm and I'm only just about to start but oh well.

Glad i'm not the only one having trouble with the side plank things, swapping them for the ones from Lvl 3 30DS is a great idea.

I feeling it a little less in my legs today and more in my core.

    glad everyones doing so well

I have BFBM and NMTZ and I felt as though I was getting a great workout from them. I don't know if I could do just one of them every day or every other day, because they are over 50 min each. However, you can choose to do individual circuits, so could devise your own workout - not sure I can b ar$ed, like debi said, like to just know what I'm doing and get it over with!

Side planks a little easier today, burpees getting me! Are they called that because they make you burp?!! I swear I can feel my breakfast rising up when I do them, no other move induces that feeling!

Haha yeah, I liked rotating workouts because I tend to get a bit bored doing only one for an extended time but the music in 6wk Six-pack isn's as annoying as the stuff in 30day shred so thats a plus :)

I feel Like I totally kicked day 3 *kitten* just know (if i do say so myself) :p I'm starting to really enjoy the supermans (which i used to loath!) and don't even mind burpies so much.

I feel like my arms are missing out though so I did a couple of exercises from NMTZ just to do some arm weights at the end. I may start adding that in once or twice a week, but i wont commit to that just yet.

have a great day/night guys I'll be back tomorrow with day 4 :)

I kind of agree - I did 30 min on the wii step with my hand weights beforehand, but then I thought...hmm there's loads of plank in here!

Did D4 today - when I first started doing this in combination with NMTZ & BFBM, I could get a burn of over 300cal. using my HRM. (I'm gonna check on this after I've posted!), but as I've become fitter, I find that I'm lucky to get 270. So I really pushed it today and hit 298! Gonna make it my goal to try and get as close to 300cal for the remaining days on L1 by working faster and harder!

Im on week 2 of the 6 Week 6 pack still no weight lost but I can tell my love handles are finally going away.... Theyre the smallest they've ever been even in high school! I can tell I'm losing inches because my size 4 jeans are feeling loser! I didn't think I would see results this fast but it's definetly working if I stick with it I think I can finally lose those handles lol we'll see...

I did day two today (I'm doing it every other day), and it was a bit easier, though my wrists are definitely sore from attempting side planks again. This time I did them up against a table and kept my other hand on the tabletop rather than keeping it on my hip. It helped a bit for extra support.

And I can understand why she designs the workouts the way she does, but I seriously wish we didn't have to keep flipping over from abs on our backs to planks. I just want to lay on my back a little longer, I'll keep exercising, just please don't make me flip over again Jillian

It's like that in NMTZ too.

    But really, it's great.

Haha tell me about it. I guess its good to keep us moving :)

I did day 5 today, I'm feeling much more coordinated. but still struggle with the side planks, but i'm getting there.

I'm having a big weekend of eating out this weekend as we have some family birthdays going on, so I think I'm going to do it everyday. and maybe add in NMTZ on sunday.

Glad to see the great results in the other thread, gives me something to look forward to :)
