I have NO IDEA how I lost any weight! I have done nothing but eat. I can only imagine if I didn't eat the extra 2,000 calories (or more) a day over my already increased goal. I'd be so small!!0 -
Thanks for letting me join the MEAT me at the BEACH Challenge! It's great to see everyone's journey. Good luck to all!!
My NSV this week would be that even though I didn't get a chance to work out I'm okay with the results since I still made decent food choices. I'm not going to be too hard on myself. 3 things I could have done differently this week would have been sticking to my scheduled workout by leaving work on time, making even BETTER food choices by planning my meals, and getting more sleep. :ohwell:

Only a little .6 loss this week. but every bit counts.
I really can't think of any NSV's that I had this week. I will say that the ladies I work with are so nice, they tell me all the time how great I look, my personal trainer was so positive too, she was saying how much my stamina has improved since I started with her. I can't wait to see her in a year & show her how well I did & will continue to do! I know I will need to get another new bathing suit since I swim so much it is getting ruined by the colrine, guess any excuss to go shopping is ok.
Great job in getting into your 210's and saying goodbye to your 220's. That is my next goal, reaching the 210's, I can't wait.0 -

Well, as I mentioned earlier I went a little overboard at the Tim McGraw concert this weekend. Over the last few days I have ben working very hard to get below last week's weigh in. I didn't make it below, but this morning I was back to the same weight as last Thursday (waited a day in hopes of dropping below). So I guess I just call this week a wash and start over. On the bright side, I did have an amazing time at the concert, and met a lot of cool people.

My NSV (M-F) was that I stayed under my calories all week long… still didn’t make up for the TERRABLE weekend but better than continuing to go over!
Still no loss, although I was not expecting it this week with my horrible weekend. I might have to change my overall goals at this point

My goal this week is to get focused again. Have my meals planned out in advance!
Keep up the good work everyone!0 -
I gained a lb this week..ugh.. @melly1606 I might be in the same boat as you. next week I am gonna show some serious restraint and will power!! but tonight..I have a bachelorette party lol which leads me to my NSV--> wearing my high waist red pencil skirt tonight that I have NEVER fit into comfortably (or at all!)

Clearly NOT going in the right direction, but the best news is that today I'm lower than yesterday. Too much sodium, and too much free time! :grumble:
I still gotta catch up on posts. Hopefully this weekend!! :happy:0 -
Congratulations to everyone who lost this week (not me) and to everyone who didn't (including me); best of luck for next week!
I stepped onto the scales sure that I would see the weight go down and I was more than a little upset to instead see a slight gain. I've done the first week of the 30 day shred so it could be a bit of muscle gain. I'm not giving up! Hopefully I'll see a good loss next weigh in.

CAUGHT UP ON POSTS! Please check below, I might have something to say to you. I love replying to people.
_________
penny_eclipse... Thanks for sharing all those NSVs! Fantastic!
Rubybelle... Better to eat more in the morning than at night. Gives you more time to work it off. "Breakfast like a queen, lunch like a princess, dinner like a peasant." I totally could use a bit more of that in my life too. Taking healthy snacks is a fantastic idea! "Say NO and deal with being hungry. I'm not going to die from lack of food any time soon" This is addressed in the book "The Beck Diet Solution" if you are interested.
lingading... Congrats on your double NSVs! That's so inspiring that you could enjoy yourself, and then get right back on track. I enjoyed reading your post. ("case of the f*ckits")
ASaxe23... "often forget about the weight I've already lost because I get so focused on what I have to lose" I hear that!
maeadair... Congrats on ONEderland!! :drinker:
tim_jennings... Excellent with the pants! I can remember not wanted to dress up for an old-fashioned photo one time because I knew none of the dresses would fit me (and that's when I was young). I bet that outdoor concert was WILD! This concert was practice for the next one! I know you can rock it! Great maintaining this week!
suzooz... I bet you'll be looking in the mirror all the time now! I know I was when I first started actually SEEING the hard work paying off. Good luck at work! You will sort it out.
hdelamore... Congrats on FLYING though this challenge!! Amazing work! Don't set yourself up to think that the next weeks might be a struggle though! No self-fulfilling prophecies around here. We can do anything we put our minds (and bodies) to.
darlinglc... I loved your "3 other ways you could have solved it?" You DEFINITELY did the right thing, if those were the alternatives!!
candlelady1... I know how you're feeling. I'm totally not eating the way I could/should be, but at least the workouts are coming back now. For me, I've started trying to notice when I am making a decision, and what I am thinking/how I am feeling about making the decision. For example, I decided to put honey in my tea. Normally, I would put in a tablespoon, and then some... and then some more. But I told myself, OK, honey is fine, but I am deciding to just put one tablespoon in. And then I make sure I follow through. Same with exercise. I think if I make more decisions consciously like this, I will be less likely to make BAD ones on the fly whenever I feel like it. Good luck!
klassi101... Congrats on 160's!! I can't wait to see those, but first I gotta get back in the 170's!
jagrib0112... No worries about the weigh in! You're still doing totally awesome. Great loss! That puts you in the "Getting Rid of Plenty...Trimming 16-20" group
irishrose22... "i think my scale is broke...lol" Most definitely!!
madamelaporte... Don't worry too much! Did you have sodium? That could take a few days to flush out. That's my excuse this week.
MiniMichelle... "I might have to change my overall goals at this point " I know the feeling... HEY! We're about the same weight with almost the same goal. I won't change mine if you don't change yours. WE CAN STILL DO THIS!!! (<-- determined)
iStace2000... LOTS of people (including me) gained weight on their first week of the Shred. You're gonna get some super fine muscle!!
:drinker: GREAT JOB to everyone seeing progress, and everyone else who's hanging in there like me.0 -
oops thought it would quote with a reply--no i have to hit quote. yep, i'm a quick one. see next post0

it's just a number honey. don't stress about it--if that is possible if your overall pattern is healthy then you are on your way, no matter what the scale's crazy report is recently. keep your chin up!0 -
iStace2000... LOTS of people (including me) gained weight on their first week of the Shred. You're gonna get some super fine muscle!!
Thanks Steph! This has made me feel much better!0 -
Current weight: 133lbs.
My goal this week is to not gain weight while I'm at the beach! That's going to be really hard. We eat out alot. I won't be logging in my food but I'll try to eat like I'm at home as much as possible. Wish me luck!!!:ohwell:0 -
That puts you in the "Getting Rid of Plenty...Trimming 16-20" group
You'll only get moved to a new group if you change your goal weight.0 -

My NSV happened today when I tried to buy a skirt. I brought a size 6 into the dressing room and it was a little too big. When I joined MFP in March I was a size 16!0
