    Ok, here we go:

Amy: Damn those German holidays and insurance hoops. I'll be praying for faster resolution for your foot so you can get back to life. And, I would say hiking Vesuvius would be happenin' for this girl too, if I was there. Pain or no pain, that's a once in a lifetime deal.

Victoria: Get out there! A lil' rain never hurt anyone! (I live in Washington. If we don't do stuff in the rain, well, we just don't do stuff.) :D

Karen: Great job gettin' on top of those rashes. My littlest, Twinkle, had an allergic reaction to a Luv's diaper. It created open wounds on her bum within 20 minutes...then she pooped. As a result, we have been battling boils on her sweet lil' cheeks for almost a year! I think we are finally through it.

    Kerry: YUM!

Things happenin' here: I gained 3 lb since Sunday. WTH? Iam choosing to ignore it since I started 30 day shred and I am just going to assume it will disappear. My food intake and excercise has been stellar, so I'm not really sure why the gain, but can't let it get me down. (That sounds very mature, but you should have seen my fit this morning. Boy howdy!!)

I took Wiggle and Twinkle to pick strawberries this morning. 20 lbs of berries in 90 minutes with 2 'helpers.' Phew!! Now for the jam...

Sarah (wiggle) - a lot of times people will hold water weight while they are doing weight and resistance training. The good thing is that your clothes will fit better and your body will slim down. The bad thing is that it doesn't always show up on the scale. Try measuring yourself and take some pics to compare to in 30, 60, 90 days etc.

Sarah-poor baby! For a year? Wow! And yeah...what Lacey said! LOL! Don't let it discourage you! I think it's been what's kept me from starting a really HARD core exercise program, I've been kinda floating along, here & there, but it's all gonna be flabby if I don't do something. And soon. *sigh*

Kerry-sounds yummy! I know the hubby & I would eat it. Think it's too spicy for the kids?

Victoria-you can do it!! Go!! (I'm one to talk, I know, but I gotta try! ;-))

    OK, off to home now.

Neat blog I found...may have posted before, but I've been following it for awhile.

Karen, it really isn't too spicy at all - I will probably throw more peppers in next time to kick it up a notch... I think the kids would love it!

Not sure what it is this week...but I am so tired in the afternoons! Sheesh.

Damn and I forgot I HAVE To go to Target today before I pick up G, so I am outa here. I want to get home and get my new work out in for week 5. Its fend for yourself/left overs night at my house. YEAY! I don't have to cook. I can just concentrate on doing a good work out without worrying that I'm keeping the fam waiting too long to eat (my hang up, not theirs) Ah mothers guilt. What would we do without it. Personally I'd have a half a bottle of red each night. yeah. thats what I'd do. LOL

*Peeks out and sheepishly waves* Hi everybody... :embarassed:

I know I kinda disappeared the last challenge. Lots and lots and lots going on right now and it's hard to focus on any one thing in particular or be able to keep up with anything. My goal this challenge will be simple, because I feel like I tried to do too many things at once the last challenge and got overwhelmed so just gave up. Thanks to those of you who continued to ride my butt until I came back!

My goals are only to login and track my food again as well as exercise as often as I'm able. I kinda fell off the logging bandwagon, but I'm hoping to maintain accountability by doing so. *SOMEHOW* I managed to continue dropping weight, even though I've spent the last few weeks eating poorly and rarely exercising.

Little tidbit into my life - I met someone. :blushing: He's awesome and I'm not investing too much into it yet, but we have our second date coming up on Monday and I'm super excited.

HEY CRYSTAL!!!! Glad you finally made it back to us! Congrats on the new fella. Having someone new definitely makes it a lot easier to forget about the last guy. For your goals, instead of saying you HAVE to log in every day, maybe you could set a goal of logging at least 5 days a week. That way, if you miss a day or two, you aren't disappointing yourself. Sometimes the hardest part of weightloss is starting back up after "failing" to follow your own super strict rules. you know what I mean?

Wowza that week five day one P90x work out was a freaking killer! For the first 30 of it I kept thinking maybe I wasn't ready for this week yet, maybe I need to go back. But I persevered and by the end was happy. I don't know that if by the end of the 90 days I will be able to do more than five real push ups but if I can get the range of motions on the knees and get down further I'll be cool with that. My whole upper body was shaking by the time I was done. And I stuck out thru the whole AB ripper as well.

Sarah, thanks for sharing your frustration -- I'm right there with you! My first mistake was weighing myself this morning, even though my "official" weigh in day for myself isn't until Saturday. But I was SO SURE I'd see good results since my eating has been the best it's been maybe ever, and I've been doing the 30 Day Shred in the morning and a walk/run program in the afternoon. How could I not have lost at least 2 pounds, right? WRONG. I lost a 1/2 pound, which I normally would celebrate but I've been working SO HARD that I was shocked. It started my day off all wrong, and then when I was still sad at lunch time I started getting mad at myself for letting such a small thing get me down. Sad, mad, all because of a scale! Ridiculous! Especially since I know logically that one weigh in on one day means nothing in the grand scheme of things.

So thank you for sharing and helping me realize that I'm not the only one feeling bad over a scale. And thank you Lacey; maybe it is just water retention from the weight training. I did pick my pride up off the ground and finished my walk/run workout tonight despite my mood, and I'm feeling better now. :)

In other news, we're getting weekly bunches of veggies from a local farm, and in this week's batch were some garlic scapes. I'd never even heard of a garlic scape before, but I'm excited to try them in recipes! I hear they make a great pesto....mmmm....

Crystal!! Yay!!! We missed you!!! So, how full did we get your inbox? ;oD Agree with Kendal-set your goals with some built in slack, so you don't feel so "blah" & just fall off completely when you aren't quite getting there! :o) Yay for a new guy! And good for taking it slow. Don't wanna rush & have "rebounditis" Yeah, probably not a real word, but it works!

WTG Lacey!! And I totally understand mom guilt! Thus, the puny amount of exercise I get it. If it takes away from the kids, I feel "rude" or something. Even though they're OK with it!

Pam/Sarah-scales are evil!! Boo hiss!! (Esp when the flippin retarded 5 yr warranty had it for a month thing isn't working...oh, sorry, wrong rant)! BUT, they are still evil!! Tape measures are your friend & how your clothes fit & how you feel! Right now, my clothes are having buttons moved & seams put it them (too poor for a new wardrobe...yet), though I still look in the mirror & see "flabby heifer" looking back at me. I have to remind myself of what I've accomplished, even if I've got a longer way to go!

So....instead of being on here while my daughter is asleep & the boys are at a ballgame w/their daddy...think I'll exercise *gasp* I know, right? LOL!!

Pam - I had a dish recently at an ital restaurant that used garlic scapes and it was freaking fantastic, but I cannot for the life of me remember what it was now... At any rate, I got on my favorite trusty food website and searched the term and came up with all these food bloggers who've posted recipe using them: http://foodgawker.com/?s=garlic+scape&cat=0
The wagyu beef with garlic confit looks fantastic...not like I'd be buying that high end a cut, but with flank or something it would be the bomb too. I saw them at the store last weekend and nearly bought them. I might have to do it now that I see all the pizza recipes using it as a pesto. YUM

Crystal - yeay for the new boy! So glad to have you back girlie!!

Welcome Tanya - Yay! Another night shifter! I'm a switchboard operator for the local hospital, so I literally just sit and wait for the phone to ring. Doesn't happen all that often, so kinda makes for a long shift. I'm with you on feeling so much better since I started eating better and exercising.

Annette - I hope all is going well.

Amy - I can't stand arrogant doctors. I just want to knock them down a few pegs. The insurance/referral thing sounds almost as messed up as back in the States.

Victoria - Wow, thanks for the advice! I'll have to give the elliptical a try barefoot next time, see how that goes and go from there. I hope you feel rested soon.

Tammy - I love it, the no internet twitch. I experience that every once in a while and I can't stand it.

Kendal - Yay for bra and panties! The wife and I just went to the Lane Bryant Outlet... 4 bras, 1 pair of dress pants, and 2 capris for $150! I know what you mean on the headlights, mine are almost ALWAYS on.

Karen - I know what you mean about splurge days not going over. I'm finding myself doing the same thing. It's nice to know I can still enjoy eating out with friends and family or have that piece of cake at the party. It makes me feel more confident that I'll be able to maintain my weight loss once I get to my goal weight.

Manda - I've been under on calories the last two days, but it's been close given I've not exercised. Time to get back on the bandwagon tomorrow.

Lauren - Way to go! The NSVs are almost better than the numbers on the scale sometimes.

Nava - Boo on the mushy food. I hope the grilled chicken is doable.

    elinger - Welcome!

Susie (oneill) - Welcome! There has been some talk of starting weekend challenges to help us all stay on track over the weekends.

Sarah (wiggle) - MMmmmmm... homemade strawberry jam

Hope - Yay! you found us!

Lacey - Fend for yourself nights are great! Way to go on the workout!

Crystal - Sometimes small goals are the way to go, especially if you're feeling overwhelmed. Yay for the second date!

Pam - I know it can be frustrating when you are doing everything right and you still don't see the scale going down as quickly as it should be. I agree with what Lacey said about retaining water weight. I would also add that sometimes if I've been working out especially hard for several days in a row, that I don't lose anything. It takes a rest day or two for my body to recoup and eliminate the water. Just keep doing what you're doing.

    Check-in for Thursday... 2426 burned / 1941 consumed / 485 deficit - No Exercise (sucky day schedule-wise)

I've been under on my calories every day this week and I've gained about a half pound each day for the last five days. I think TOM is reeking havoc. I just want that day were it all goes away to come, so I can get back to the 230s. I may be taking a pass on weighing in this week. On the up side, we went clothes shopping since all my pants are falling off me and 2 of the 3 pairs I got are size 20s!!! I've been in 24s for the last few years. One pair was a little roomy, so I decided to try an 18... Not yet, but I'm not cutting tags off until the current water weight goes away. Don't want to keep them if they are too loose.

    Have a great Friday ladies!!!

Way too many posts to respond to all - and the wekend is coming when I am less likely to log in so apologies for not responding to individuals - hoping health continues to improve so that 'normal service' can resume next week!!!!

    SCALES TEASE.

Got on today - down 5lbs since Monday (not the way to go but poorliness can have it's up sides). The tease is: 1) I ahve changed my qweigh in day to Monday - so it doesn't count 2) when I resume 'proper eating', this weight will rapidly change - so it doesn't count 3) my scales hate me so much they will probably read 5 back on by Monday - so it doesn't count. Hence - SCALES TEASE.

Have been intrigued to read about people's love for undies - I am much happier wearing nice things but somehow can not bring myself to buy them. I think it's a relationship between how much they cost and self value - not allowing self/feeling comfortable enough to spend that amount of money. Hence - do you know any other 46 year olds who wait until Christmas / Birthdays for their mothers to buy undies as gifts - which, in itself, is not nice either. Hmm - needs to be addressed somewhere along the line - ideas welcomed.

Have managed no exercise this week - enough trouble breathing without - but planning to try jogging tomorrow - fingers crossed.

Good to be back and will attempt to keep up again from now.

    xx

2791 burned yesterday with no real exercise but I tilled some and enjoyed an evening fire with DH... TGIF!!! I want to cancel all my clients and spend the day at home. I was dragging during the bike ride so we only went 10 miles in our hour. At least I got out and did it... I guess I'd better be responsible and get ready for work. Sighs. Next week is looking to be more reasonable. I just need to keep "NO" in my head and not take any new clients. July is so busy withy b-day, in-laws making thier annual trip and my friends girls staying 9 days with us. My happy note was finding Chobani yogurt at a small store 20 miles from me. Much better than 40+ mile drive. No weekend plans except friends 50th b-day party and yardwork.

Lacey, thanks so much for the garlic scape recipes! I had no idea what to do with them when I got them, so that site helps A LOT!

Annette- Not all cute bras/panties are super expensive. WAY back in the day (I'm talking high school or something), my mom gave me a bra and panty set for Christmas. (typing this out now makes me realize how weird this is but.....) She joked that it was in case I was in an accident and the paramedics/doctors had to remove my clothes - I would want to be seen in something cute/pretty. (yeah, thats really weird now that I type that out LOL) But its kind of how I started the whole "gotta have cuteness on underneath." I know that at any point in my life (other than TOM week), if the situation arises (ahem) where someone would see my under things, I will be confident and cute. So yeah, thats why I have a drawer and a half of panties and I'm about to have to go to 1.5 drawers for my bras too (ok, so the bras I get are thick and cup shaped and they don't lay flat so they take up a lot more room in a drawer).

I weighed 213.6 yesterday and today I am up to 215.8. This is not my official weigh in. I know I did not eat an extra 7000 calories yesterday. I may have been over by a couple hundred, but I was also over on sodium so I'll give myself a day to shed the water weight.

Today is going to be one of those super perfect days....either that or I met my quota for good things waaaaay too early lol. I slept great. Got to sleep till 7 this morning. Woke up and didn't feel tired at all. The drive to work was fantastic! (light traffic, hit all the lights just right) Got to work a little after 8 and for some reason, the first spot was still empty. Walked in the building right when the elevator doors were opening. yeah....hopefully the good stuff continues.

Short funny story: I woke up last night and Lexi was frantically scratching and flailing because she FELL IN THE CRACK BETWEEN THE BED AND WALL. (she's a 65 pound mutt for yall newbies....my guess is she's got a lot of boxer in her though) I sat up and started petting her so she'd calm down and then I pulled her up on the bed and kept petting her for a minute. I bet it scared the crap outta her. She was probably having a great dream lol. I hope she's not bruised anywhere, you can't really tell with dogs, ya know? Poor puppy lol

Annette-I usually only get them if I find a MAJORLY awesome sale, or if I have a gift card, so I feel ya! Or if there's just holes in what I have, thus no choice.

Katie-yay for staying under! I'll give you a hand back on the wagon this time, as I'm still at the back, ready to fall off! LOL!!

Kendal-poor Lexi!! And no, it's not TOO weird, Mom's can get away with stuff like that!!

Well, I Zumba'd last night, & got in elliptical this morning. And I've been under all week, but scale shows me up half a pound! Blah! And today is a food day at work, so I have to keep it up all week so that my Monday weigh in at least shows SOME progress...I hope? :-) Not been getting in all my water, so maybe that's it. Had 3 cups already, so working on more. BTW, the NEW car died last night! WTH!?!? It managed to start this morning & it's AT the dealership, b/c there's NO way a car I bought MONDAY should have died. Will keep you all posted!

And now the boss will be here soon, so talk to you all tonite!!

LOL - Lacey, Chris and I were actually talking about this while I was driving into work this morning.... we were thinking about having "Wine Thursday," and just figuring out some healthy little crudites to have and then just drink our dinner. Seriosly... I am a wine club member so I get 6 bottles every month and we're starting to back up on bottles because of how much less we have been drinking, especially during the week!

Hey, I hope everyone is doing extremely well! I don't have time to reply to everyone, but I did want to greet everyone. I'm off today, so I'm getting ready to head up to the gym for a nice long workout since I've missed so much this week. Having a social life is exhausting, can I get an AMEN?!

My dad is looking at buying a car from my mom's cousin for 3400, he wants to pay it off in 40 days, so that means selling a couple kids, mom's current car and probably renting out AJ's room to a hobo. (I'm kidding) But really , it's gonna take some work, so if you could be praying for him, that's be great.

I'm down another pound!! Praise the Lord!!

If you have any specific prayer requests, you can DM me and I'll totally lift you up. I'm really busy so it's hard to read through everyone's exciting posts.

    Love you all!!!

    yup, I jinxed myself.

First, let me say that the coworker and I made up from the tiff we had last week.

So today she told me to come over to her desk, she was having chest pains. She's 30 years old but she had googled symptoms of a heart attack and said she was having 3 of them (not the pain on the left side though). She took her heart rate and said it was 120/min which is crazy high. (also possibly read wrong) I told her we could take our break, run up to Walgreens and use the automated blood pressure thing. When we got there, we found out they don't have those anymore (too inaccurate). The (super crazy cute, young and extremely married) pharmacist tried to take her blood pressure with one he had behind teh counter, but it was electronic and gave an error message each time. He took her heart rate and said it was 91, which is still elevated. He gave her an aspirin and told her she should go to the er. We came back to work, waited in the lobby to see if anyone could come pick her up, and our manager came downstairs. I don't know if there would be a long wait for someone to come get her or what, but I volunteered to take her (one of her friends on the phone asked her about it cause she told them she didn't want to put that on me, even though she hadn't asked). So yeah, I ran upstairs to get her cell charger, then ran to the car and drove around to pick her up.

**interjection** I MISS RUNNING!!! I will probably pay big time for it tomorrow but man it felt so good to feel my legs stretch out, feel my body gain momentum as my hair blew over my shoulders and bounced with each stride. *sigh* one more week......

But yeah, I was gone for about an hour and will now have to work 9 hours tomorrow to gain back that lost hour of OT.

Hopped on the scale this morning and am down .4 lbs...so since my regular weigh in is Monday am hoping to have lost a full lbs by then. Next week I might drop my cals down to 1900 and see if that helps a bit more. I don't want to over do the cal dropping but it sure is nice to see the scale move.
My whole chest/upper back/arms and abs are FEELING IT this morning that work out was so good last ngiht. Its a plyo night tonight. I'm on the fence about trying it again. My goal was to push myself harder this second session so I really should try it. I could always do 1/2 hour of it and put cardio x in for 30 minutes too if its too much.

    Check in for yesterday: 3019/1961/1058deficit.

Lacey: I'm sending you skinny vibes for your weigh in on Monday.

Kendal: How is your coworker? She wasn't really having a heart attack, was she? Maybe she had a panic attack!?! I think the story about Lexi is freaking hilarious. My mom was also into underwear so I never thought it was weird to get cool/pretty underwear from my mom. I've had colorful/fancy undies as far back as I can remember.

Ashley: I haven't really had a social life since I moved to a country that doesn't speak my language. :ohwell: But I'm gad you are getting a work out in.

Kerry: I am currently drinking my way through Europe. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE German, French, Spanish and Italian wines. They make me happy.

Karen: I am so sorry about the new car! I hope it gets straightened out.

missxlaur: Yay for your 3 pound loss this week!

Victoria: No new clients, no new clients!

Annette: I hope you get to feeling better!

Katie: Congrats on the smaller clothes! I hope the TOM bloat goes away soon.

Pam: I'm currently going through a horrible phase where I only lost 0.2 pounds a week. I upped my calories, lowered my calories, upped my protein, lowered the exercise, upped the exercise, upped the fiber, upped the water...everything I could think of but I stay at 0.2 pounds lost a week. sigh.

Crystal: Yay for the new guy!!!

I went bowling with Gabe this afternoon. Me & Gabe & The Hubbs tend to go bowling every couple of weeks but this was the first time it was just me & Gabe. We had fun. The dude at the counter gave us free games so it was pretty cheap. He said it was a "lunch special" deal where if you buy food (which we did) you get a free game (or something). I've NEVER gotten this deal no matter how many times I've been in the bowling alley (and we always go at lunch time on Friday) but I'm totally happy with paying less than half of what I normally pay!

No, I don't think it was a heart attack. I think she was making her symptoms worse because she was stressing so hard about it. She just texted me, they've done an EKG and it looks good. They are about to do a chest xray.

    and YAY for cheaper bowling!

Hmmmm Amy maybe I should hop a flight to Germany when i get to Italy and we could both speak horrible German together around Deutschland lol. I wish they would figure it out so I can figure it out. I don't even want to start looking at options until I know fo' shizzle I am coming.

I also have a customer in Ireland....oh the options.

Yeay for cheap bowling!! I need to take G again. We've gone once NY day and it was super fun. She was talking about wanting to try roller skating again this morning so thats next up on the list when we are bored one weekend.

Lacey: I have a friend in Ireland and I keep meaning to get up there. I'm in negotiations with The Hubbs to get a trip to Scotland put together for this summer/autumn so maybe I can stick Ireland and my friend on to that trip. You can get a relatively cheap flight to Germany from Italy. But - dood- you're gonna be in Italy, why would you go somewhere else?? (Not that I wouldn't drop everything to totally hang out with you if you happened into my country  )

Kendal: I'm glad your coworker is doing ok. It's really scary to have a health issue and not know what to do about it. Then you get all the adrenalin flowing and it makes everything worse.

Coworker has been released from the hospital. She's fine. Her heart is fine. She has a UTI.

Heard some news from my old department today. The manager is leaving next month. Yeah, the same manager who asked me to apply for that position is leaving. UGH. I haven't heard anything back from anyone. So I guess thats good......I haven't heard that I'm no longer in consideration at least......
