"It is what it is." -- Wow.....that's profound. Share more of that wisdom.
(Sorry if this is a repeat. I didn't read every page.)

I say that meaning I have to accept things for what they are.

Agreed. Sometimes, we all need to be reminded of that.

The phrase that I hate the most is "That's Sick!"...ridiculous!
I'm also not into "You fancy, huh?" or the word "Preggo" for pregnant. "Hubby", "Hubs" "Hunny" and "Wifey" bug the hell out of me too! Pretty much anything that makes the speaker sound unintelligent bugs me. That includes text short hand like "Ur hunny.." and "CU 2moro".

I understand what it means. It's actually a conversation killer. It says "I have nothing else to say about this subject so let's not talk about it anymore." Don't worry, no one's taking away your right to continue to use the phrase. Some of us just happen to hate it. The thread isn't called "Why do you say urban phrases that other people hate?"

Didn't think you were. You also weren't the first person to post it. You sounded kind of angsty there, not sure if it was intentional.

Sometimes, people say it when people go on and on and on about something there really is a simple solution to. Maybe it's not so much that they have nothing to say as it is, they would like the person to stop freaking out about whatever it is they're complaining about.

I have been laughing at this post, but I realize that I use a lot of these words and/or phases. I said, "Cool beans" to my 12 year old nephew and he told me that " I must be old, because only old people use cool beans" I am only 29.

13 pages and no one's brought up the overuse of "literally"? "I was LITERALLY about to pass out" No, you weren't. Hate that.

And the expression "peace out". Bugs me, and I'm not even sure why.

But I'll cop to my overuse of "dude". Sorry dudes.

    "swag"

I hear that all the time at my school and probably 80% of them have no idea wtf it means >:|

I completely agree with this one. I had a co-worker tell me to turn my swag on and of course I'm started thinking........ we are not 18 so the word swag should not come out of your mouth.
