lindaj07, I started exercise walking on the 6th, at 2.72 MPH and am now up to 3.44 MPH. I hope to be up to 3.5 on a regular basis by August.

I made my July goal of 600 minutes today, at 601! I walked with The Bride and the dogs today, for 31 min. 57 sec, 1.54 miles at a slower pace of 2.89 MPH (RunKeeper) and burned 300 calories (Polar F11).

I also met my weight loss goal for the week of 2 lbs., 3rd week in a row. I’m going to celebrate with a nice tall glass of ice water!

Looking to be a busy week ahead and wanting to make sure I get my walks in, so I went tonight rather than hoping to have time in the morning. 5.3 more miles down! Still going to have to work hard to make my target this week, but these days I like a challenge!

    35 min. 50 sec, 2.06 miles, 3.45 MPH (RunKeeper), 509 calories burned (Polar F11)

I averaged 3.45 MPH today, at an average heart rate of 118 BMP. I’m going to try to get it up to an average of 120 BPM and see if that will get me up to an average of 3.5 MPH. These stumpy little legs haven’t moved this fast in quite a while.

Hi. I'm hopelessly behind on tracking although I took a lot of wonderful walks while I was on vacation in Tahoe. I don't think there's anywhere more beautiful. I walked to the lake almost every day (3 miles round trip). I'll hit it again in August. It's so hot here (high 90's), it might have to be at the gym though. I miss Tahoe and the mid-70's temps! I just may head back up there!

250425 and over 10,000 today makes 260000+ Yikes! I'd need to average over 16500 steps a day for the next 5 days... Its possible, not likely, but just barely possible...

    ;)

10 min walking today. Counting every step.
I am behind in my routine.
Did cycling last night and I also do weights so
I can't get walking in too. Trying to keep up
    with you wonderful people.
I hope to walk tomorrow before I go shopping.

    Tahoe sounds marvelous !

Mimi, a three mile walk at over 6000 feet has to be equal to walking 6 miles at sea level. : ) We used to have a cabin in Arnold and we would take several drives a summer over Ebbett’s Pass and up 89 to Tahoe, a beautiful drive.

I haven't done my walking today. Don't know if I'll get to it.

Wow LindaJ07 you inspire! How do you get all those miles in, do you run?

Mimi and CrCody, you make me homesick  with Tahoe and Arnold talk, but most especially Highway 89:heart: . Sure do miss the Sierras, the Rockies on the edge of the Great Basin just can't compare.:noway:

Did less than 9k steps yesterday but not too disappointed as: 1=good 90 minutes weeding and 2=way miscalculated, don't need 16,000 steps/day to meet goal, only 12691/day. I CAN do that! Good thing dancing counts as steps:bigsmile:

Yesterday. I only got a few minutes of mall walkin in while trying to buy some pants. We are going on a cruise in August and I've outgrown all my old clothes. I wanted to buy a pair of Navy Dockers in a 42/30 (down from 48"s) but they only had pleated ones. Well, I think I want the flat front, not pleated. I have pleated in 44"s, 46"s and 48"s. My front is getting flat(er), so dammit, I don't want pleated.

Today, I averaged over 3.5 MPH for the first time!. These chubby little legs were flying at the speed of warm butter!

    35 min. 51 sec., 2.11 miles, 3.53 MPH (RunKeeper), 471 calories burned (Polar F11).

Missed logging last night's 2.2 miles, and am sitting here drenching the keyboard with sweat as I recover from tonight's 5.3 mile walk/run. I'm not sure how people do this in real heat, because Scottish heat is enough to melt me! My hope is to do a 10-er on Saturday morning, so I should just about make my target this month.
