Hi!
I did pretty good on my eating and drinking my water!
I'm having eye surgery on Thursday,so I'll be just walking until I get the ok from the doc to start up on my workouts.
I'll of course keep logging my food and staying within my goal.
It's going to kill me not to workout, but I'll be cheering the rest of you on!:flowerforyou:0 -
Yay! I've been looking for the thread. :flowerforyou:
I'm Colleen, mama of 5 kids, ages 1 to 8. My highest weight was 165.6, and I've lost 14 lbs since then. My current weight is 142.2, so that's the weight I'm starting the challenge at... I put my intermediate goal at 132 - that's about halfway between here and my final goal, which is 115.
I'm doing C25K, 30 Day Slimdown, and the Butt Bible, as well as additional strength and cardio, yoga, bellydance, and Pilates/Barre as my schedule allows. My diet is pretty simple - I'm eating as clean as I can, netting about 1200 cals a day, with a cheat day once a week and an extra one for TOM.0 -
Hi ladies. Sounds like you are both doing great!
I'm a mama to my amazing son who is 19mo. I returned to my pre-pregnancy weight pretty quickly but have been bound & determined to lose more before we have baby #2 (no plans yet, just starting the weight loss BEFORE this time)
I started getting focused and using MFP in Jan. Since then I have lost 14.8 lbs, (I lost a pound or two before MFP.)
I LOVE beachbody products. I am finishing a Chalean Extreme/Insanity hybrid and just bought TurboFire. I run a few times a week at the gym as well and do extra classes when I can.
I work 3 looong days a weeks as a hairstylist and love my job.
Can't wait to get started on this fitness journey together! Please let me know what days you usually weigh in. I was thinking mondays would be good since that is when we all logged with group?0 -
Monday is my official weigh in day, so that would work really well for me.0

Hi Hot Mama's
I'm Amanda, live in Australia so I'm kinda in a different timezone to everyone else (not to mention its winter here right now) but I try to keep up as best I can.
I'm a SAHM to 5 kiddies, 1 girl who is 14 and 4 boys ages 12, 5 and 3 year old twins. They certainly keep me busy
I started out at just over 200lbs, I'm only 5'2 so my ultimate goal is around 120ish I guess, it keeps changing so we will see. Now I have lost quite a bit the weight is coming off so much slower, also I am much fitter now and it is hard to get really good calorie burns. I am trying to start running in the hopes I will one day enjoy it and want to do it, not sure it will ever happen though!!
I had a pretty good week so far, I weighed in today for another challenge and had lost a decent amount for a change  the weekends have been my downfall. I'm usually pretty good through the week but come the weekends and I fail big time. I am trying to be more consistant so weighing on Mondays may be a big help for me.
Looking forward to get to know you all0 -
Im beccy 29 mum of two. I have Millie (5) and Josh (4). At my heaviest I was 158 heavier than when I was full term with either of the kids! I got down to 137 last october but since then have somehow got up to 145.8 although it is that tom so slightly heavier than normal!
Im 30 next year and really want to get down to my gw by then (126)
I try to exercise most days but definately at least 5 times a week. and I eat as close to my calories as possible. Although yesterday was a bad day (I blame TOM). I dont drink as much water as I probably should so im really going to work on that!
Anyway enough chat I have to go and do ripped in 30 before the school run
I look forward to getting to know you all xx0 -
Hello ladies!
I'm still stuck at 142lbs but working towards the 130's. I need to get there soon as my only pair of size 14 jeans (that would be a US 18) are busting at the seams and I have 3 perfectly good pairs of jeans that are all a size 12!!0 -
Hi Ladies! Excited about this challenge. I am the mother of three girls (ages 12,8,6).
At the highest non-pregnant weight, I was 155. 5 lbs less than my highest pregnancy weight :ohwell: I have since lost about 20 lbs to get to 134. My goal was 120, but now that I am close to it I am thinking 125 is better. But these last 10 lbs are hanging on for dear life. I was on a plateau for almost 2 months and I am finally moving past it.
My workouts vary a lot. I love Zumba so I try to take that atleast once a week. I do kickboxing, step aerobics, walk, elliptical, treadmill, JM dvds. It just all depends on what I am able to get to on that day.
Have a great day! :flowerforyou:0 -
Good morning ladies! It sounds like we are all on the same path and have the same problem...these last # of pounds are the hardest to lose!! I have had weeks where I don't lose, that turned into almost 2 months!!
Together we can do this. If there is a week we don't lose...IT"S OK!!!! Just keep pushing through. This about be healthy & fit, if we are doing our very best to get there that is all that matters.
:happy:0 -
I'm trying to get a table up for us with names and weigh in but can't figure it out and don't have tons of time today so I will do I can. Sorry ladies!! If anyone know how let me know
I follow Chari's direction and can't get it to work. :frown:0 -
MacksMama - I would love to help out but I am writing my thesis at the moment and I now only have 22 working days to complete it! Once we are into September (and hopefully I will have achieved my intermediate goal!) I will have time.
Everyone - what are your favourite workouts?
My number 1 is walking (just going for a walk - even in the rain - helps clear my head and burns calories too!!) but I also still love my Lateral Thigh Trainer and Davina DVD's (not sure if anyone outside of the UK even knows who Davina is?)
Tomorrow morning I am off out for a long walk before breakfast.0 -

I was going to bed 2 hours ago but I thought i'd try editing the chart....
Finally I think I have done it.
I didnt have intermediate and goal weights for everyone so i've left them blank for now. Also I put our starting weights in wk 1 but im not really sure when our official first weigh in is, so they might need changing!
Anyway I am most definately going to bed now!!

Beccy, you rock!!!
Sara, my favorite workout right now is my C25K runs, we just started Week 3 on the schedule. It's me and 2-3 other moms getting together to run twice a week, while our kids play in the field inside the track, and it's just an awesome time. I love how it makes me feel! I always wanted to be a runner, but unfortunately couldn't stand running. LOL!That's definitely changing now.
Some other favorite workouts are power yoga, bellydance, the Cindy Whitmarsh's Incredible Abs workouts, the 30 Day Shred, Kendall Hogan's Bootcamp Calorie Burn (for some reason, I LOVE THAT ONE), Barre, and the Crunch Bootylicious Buns workout. I also like the core work in the Moms Into Fitness Bootcamp DVD, because I've only just got my diastasis repaired (through transverse ab work) and I feel like it strengthens that instead of threatens to blow it back out like some other ab work can. I'm a big fan of Exercise TV, and we have that on our cable On Demand so it makes me feel good about our cable package! I sometimes like the Body Rock workouts, too.0 -
Lol it took me ages to figure out what I was doing but then it just kind of clicked and I was like seriously??? Did it really just take me two hours
So anyway how was everyones day yesterday? I got 2 workouts in (ripped in 30 & 6 week 6 pack) drank 9 glasses of water. Stayed under calories despite my husband bringing home gu hot choc pudding (which are my absolute favourite... hot chocolatey and gooey middles.... mmmmmm) which i managed NOT to eat. Goodness knows how since its screaming my name everytime i go in the cupboard. I also logged everything and completed my journal. BUT i only got in about 5 hours sleep because i went to bed late and got up early to get todays exercise in!!
Happy thursday everyone :flowerforyou:0 -
Beccy the chart looks great
I finally had a good exercise day. Still not feeling 100% but I sort of had no choice but to go to the gym. My Husband has just started working nightshift which means that he gets home in the morning and needs to sleep. Ughh, try keeping twin 3yo boys quiet, almost impossible. So it is just as easy if I go to the gym in the mornings and the boys go into the childcare at the gym which they love. Then we went for a walk as well. So I made up for being sick and not doing anything for the last few days by doing a Body Combat class at the gym then 10mins interval training on the elliptical before I had to get the boys plus the big long walk. I'm really tired now and ready for bed at 8pm
Had my normal weigh in yesterday and had a good loss for a change. I was much better on the weekend, first time in weeks I did'nt blow everything with bad food choices, of course we did'nt go out anywhere which always makes it so much easier to eat well. I really struggle with social events, too hard to say no to all the yummy food and drinks at parties and such. So now my challenge is to be good this weekend too so I don't blow my great results.
Hope you are all having a great day

Yesterday was a good day. It was my day off so I was able to get more workout in. I did Calean ext Lean cir 2, Turbofire core20 and mowed the front & back yard! The mowing alone was 325calories haha.
I woke up at 5 this am to do Turbofire HIIT15 & Stretch 10. Now it's time to get ready for a long 10.5 hrs of work. I stand 97% of my day too so my legs really get it! (I'm a hairstylist)
I weighed in this am just to peek at how I've been doing this week (normal weigh in days or mondays) & I am down .6lbs.
There was a time of almost 2 months where I didn't lose, or I'd gain/lose the same 3-4 pounds, so this loss makes me happy.
Happy Thursday team! :happy:0 -
GM ladies, Thanks Collinsky for the the advice on my back. Today, I stayed home from work to nurse it back to health. I am not even sure how I injured it. The best that I can come up with is during the weight lifts in the step aerobics class on Tuesday. I can't think of anything that could have done it in Zumba class. :ohwell:
I weighed myself this morning and it is a .6 loss (134.2 lbs)! It looks like the chart already has me a 134.2. Maybe that's what I was the day the I signed up for this challenge but I didn't log it into MFP. But anyway, like everyone else I had been stuck in a holding pattern so I celebrate any loss at all. Today I am going to take it easy on my workout. I will probably just walk or something this evening. Today the heat index here is going to be 116 degrees. WHEW!
I hope you ladies have a wonderful day!0 -

Hi hot mamas!! I did C25K week three, with an extra 1/4 mi on the end. I wanted to do a 1/2 mile, but my youngest started to get really antsy and stopped being fine with me running away from him. LOL In about an hour I'm going to be doing Day 8 of the 30 Day Slimdown, and I'm starting the 100 push ups program (well, starting it again. In the past, I made it two weeks in before I lost motivation ... but that was before MFP.)
I also have Butt Bible jotted down to do today - if I do it right after my other workout, I'll do it, but I've noticed that if I stop and think I'll do it later in the evening, I tend to put it off until it's just too late.0 -

What is the butt bible?
Im the same as you if i stop with thoughts of doing it later before i know it, its bed time and I still havent fitted itt in!! Its much better if i do it all in one go and get it over in one go so to speak!0 -
Decided to get some exercise in and not be able to avoid it that going for a morning walk was a good idea.
Yesterday and today I went to work with my husband (I usually work from home), then I walked home! About 7.5km. I am hoping to do this every day as it really helps clear my head. Not sure what to do tomorrow though. Maybe go out for a nice walk somewhere
Having trouble accepting the 'eat the exercise calories back' concept at the moment. In theory I completely agree with it and would always do it but today I weighed myself and had gained (again!). On the other hand last weekend was a bit of a mess and the long walk yesterday isn't going to miraculously rid me of a couple of lbs so I will carry on (but maybe only eat 75% of my exercise calories back instead of all of them!0 -
Also...
SW: 142lbs
IW: 129lbs by 5th September (my son's 2nd birthday)
GW: 119lbs (which will be my lowest weight since I was a teenager, not counting one year when I was ill)
When I get to my GW I will have to set new goals  maybe a fitness goal, I would like to try running but I had bad knees as a teenager and into my twenties so I am very concious of am impact (although I haven't had any trouble with my knees in years!)0 -
Having such a hard time at the moment all my usual goals and rewards are no motivation at all. I would be pleased if I could just lose weight instead of gaining so...
If I lose weight by MONDAY 25th JULY (CW today is 142.25lbs) then I am going to get my haircut. (Going to need doing in the next couple of weeks so also going to say that unless I lose weight, i.e. I am less than 142.25lbs then I am NOT going to get my haircut)
If I lose weight then on Monday I will set a new mini goal.0 -
Good morning hot mamas!
Just got my workout in. Chalean Extreme circuit 3. I love the burn!!
I hope everyone has a wonderful day!
WE CAN AND WE WILL do this!

Hey Hot Moms....
Im so tired today I started work at 9am yesterday, finished at 3 then went back to work from 5 till 11pm.
I am literally good for nothing today. I had work this morning then a picnic at millies school as it was the last day of term. We all ended up back at one of the others mums house finishing off the picnic food.
Its only 6pm im already over on my calories, i've not had dinner yet and i've put ripped in 30 on 3 times and shut it off.
Someone kick me in the *kitten* please and thank you.0
