I lose another pound this morning!!! I'm not logging it until I see it 2 days in a row though...kinda in disbelief. Maybe my body is playing catch up a little bit from that huge plateau..

I am starting to get so tired of being in the 220s. While my weight loss is a slow journey..like snail slow, I wish I would be loosing a littel bit faster. I have modified my diet to be low in sodium & high in fiber. I was chatting with this amazing trainer yesterday and he told me that my body wont budge with the weight loss anymore because its used to the routine. I am going to talk to him on Monday to see if I can get him to train me. If I was paying $135 a month for Shakeology, then I can afford a personal trainer. I have cancelled shakeology for the time being. Ideally I would like to use a trainer 1 a week for 6 months, but we shall see what the $$ will be come Monday. I have referred about 10 people to this gym so hopefully they can work out something for me. And I "live" in the gym so that must help for something.

    CONFESSIONAL

Hey all, I'm so sorry I've been gone forever. I started out at 267 but since my friend's wedding and making sure my bridesmaid's duties are done. I just went crazy with food afterwards because i had restricted myself soooo much! I had sausage egg mcmuffins two days in a row for breakfast, and Friday I had a burger and fries. I'm aiming to do a small fruit/veggie detox tomorrow with plenty of water because I feel so lethargic and pudgey...my biggest thing right now is making sure that I work out....with my early work schedule I'll have to work out with my TurboFire at 4:30am. I'm thinking of joining a health club also...

I really can't believe that the scale went down .6 from last week. I was on a mini-vacation from Wednesday last week through Sunday. I haven't worked out at all in 5 days (except for "vacation working out" -- walking around town, dancing at a wedding, etc.), I didn't drink enough water, I ate anything and everything I wanted while on vacation, and I drank a not too shabby amount of alcohol (the vacation included stops at 4 wineries and 3 breweries). I was 100% sure I'd gain this week. I just don't understand the scale! I've worked my butt off some weeks and GAINED weight, but then I go on vacation and do everything wrong and I LOSE weight? Oh well, I'll just take the loss and be thankful! It's back on the plan today, and I am actually looking forward to working out this afternoon. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I can't wait to run tonight!

I have decided that I am not going to be weighing myself twice a week anymore...once every Friday. The scale & me don't see eye to eye these days!!!

I just got back from doing Zumba with my 11.5 year old and Kristin...My knee is hurting so bad! Kristin made a valid point when she pointed out it could be from my motion control shoes! I wouldn't have thought that, but it makes sense. All the twisting with your knees...urg. My daughter seemed to love the class which is good because she and I had a major argument before we left about her not wanting to be the only middle schooler in there. It is so hard to get it thru her head that it is ok!!

Ahhh....lighbulb moment! I used to do Zumba at my old gym and I loved it, but my knees always bothered me. Now I usually do Zumba at home with Kinect and my knees are fine. The difference? When I do it at home I'm barefoot. I never thought about the motion control shoe thing!

Yep!! I had surgery on my left ankle (which is the same side the knee that hurts is on) 2 years ago this December...and I have had some issue with it. Never thought it could be my shoes because I went and got tested for them. But they really do only bother me if I am doing treadmill or doing something that twists like Zumba or something. Next time I go, I am going to wear my pair of Asics and see if that is better.

I also just went and bought some glucosamine. I have been reading tons on how beneficial it is for knee and joint pain!! I hope it helps my ankle and knee!!

I hope that your ankle and knee feel better!

Apparently they make "Zumba shoes" now too...I've never tried them, but I've heard people say they like them. Maybe they'd be easier on the knees?
