    You looked great before and you look even better now. Good job Maree!

    Finished L1D5 and feel ready to move on to level 2 with 30DS I never felt ready, I just moved on anyway but I feel used to the moves and only have to modify the push-ups. Can't wait till Monday to see what L2 brings.

    Maree, great stomach toning there! Well done.

    I just started week 4, had to modify due to arthritis twinges still, but determined not to let it stop me! I had to take 3 rest days, which sucked.

    Thanks for all your lovely comments guys :smile:

    Im going to keep going with Jillian DVDs i thought i would do something like the 30 day slimdown but add in 6wk 6 pack to it also on the days that you do the shred. I also have insanity too which i would like to have a go at.....this week i will probably just do a mix of everything and see what i like the best :smile:

    everyones doing really well ! keep it up guys!

    Jillian is a bit weird in this dvd. I love the mean bits where she is screaming at you in level 2 to dig, burn push it etc. i find her chat is good for making me motivated. however, she is a bit weird with all the flirting! lol

    tara: im using 5lbs and i agree, im tempted to up my weights to 8lbs or something.

    des: 400 is fab! i burn between 180-220cals! have to work much much harder to get a burn any higher than that! zumba or running are my high cal burners!

    got L1D5 done today...I am not sore at all after the workout anymore...just during it's tough, but I am ready to move on to L2 for sure! I pretty much followed the "bad *kitten*" girl for everything except my military pushups arent all of the way down like hers...but I still do them on my feet :)

    Courtney-after reading your post just now...I think it's funny that we pretty much said the same thing! soon we will be to L2!!

    Jenlwb-almost there...keep on pushing and you will be 2nd to finish!! wtg!

    Maree-what is that 30 day slimdown like?? is is still 30 minutes? is it mostly cardio? gotta figure out what i am doing next too! good luck with your future workout goals!

    Mariam-I only get 250 cals burned on this one...my highest burn is the elliptical at about 290-305 for 30-35minutes! but the rest...I have to really reach for too!! I think that I may get 8lbs weights for my next DVD (whatever that may be?) and then I will retire my 3lbs for good and make my 5lbs as my backups!

    Hi Tara - here is the 30 day slimdown routine, using Jillian Michaels DVD's. I just did the insanity fit test this morning, it kicked my butt!! lol Im not sure if in ready for it so i will probably do this routine and add in 6wk 6 pack 4 times per week as well.

    Maree-thanks for putting the schedule up! i think I may try making my own version of this with the shred dvd, ripped, and possible a turbo jam thrown in there for good measure! I think I need JM to maintain my "toning" that I have gotten from her...but I also need more cardio so I can finish losing the rest of my weight!

    Courtney-congrats on finishing week1!! I will be joining ou tomorrow!

    So I think my HRM may be a little off! Everyone is saying they burn closer to 200 cals! Maybe it doesn't work very well? Wouldn't surprise me, it does seem to say I'm burning very quickly.

    Think I might try the 30 Day Slimdown after!! Thanks so much for posting it. The only one I don't have is Quick Trouble Zones - but I might just replace those days with 6 wk 6 pack. I also don't like how there is no L3 of 30DS - that's my favorite!!

    I'm on to level 3 tomorrow! Hopefully less planks than L2 (I still hate those!) Great work everyone!

    will try and get a workout in sometime this week! out for a run tonight so should be good for some major calorie burning! i have to skip zumba tomorrow as am at my sisters for dinner!

    des: level 2 and the planks are kicking my butt! the first cardio interval is starting to get easier now! always makes me giggle when she says you're not going to die! coz i feel like i am! hehe

    tara: im not sure what my next workout is either! i kind of like my dvds, may have to get banish fat and no more trouble zones to switch it up a bit. winter time wont be too good for my running so will need something more to keep me ticking along! im also going to look into maybe starting the new rules of lifting as well

    L1 done today!!! rest day tomorrow, and then on to L2!! I'm scared by what you all have said about the planks...but anything has got to be better then the running man and the chair with flys!! LOL

    Des-you are doing great!!! how is the scale comin for you on this vz the shred?? just curious for myself too?! I think I may do something similar to the smil down too...and I may look into JM diet plan finally too! as for your HRM...if you aren't losing at a steady pace like you feel like you should be...try not eating back all of your cals...just in case.. otherwise, if it's working then who cares if it's off a lil bit right?! :)

    Mariam-when's the race...soon right?! good luck! and whatever we each decide to do for our next workouts...we can still support each opther either way! :)




    kinda quiet around these parts today...wonder how many will actually finish this as planned?!

    Level 3 = HARD! I'll admit I took way too many breaks today, some because I was tired, some because I just didn't understand how to do the moves properly. But I was sweating buckets, and my friend and I (who tried it with me) were both on the floor for a while afterwards! lol But I do like it! It's a good challenge!

    Tara - The scale has been staying pretty consistent (as it did with the shred) but I haven't been eating my best lately. Today I restarted the 17 Day Diet - don't hate me! - I just needed something to get me eating right again, and following a plan helps me a lot. And I really believe this is a healthy diet - feel free to check my diary for today (I am still logging it)...it helps me to keep my carbs in check and eat cleaner. My carbs are almost always over. Anyway, I hope this will lead to another loss. It worked really well for me the first time around :)
    As for exercise cals, I think I'm going to stop logging exercise for a week or so, just to see if that makes a difference! GOOD LUCK with level 2!

    Tara - i enjoyed level 3 more than level 2 im not sure why, i think because im alot stronger in my legs than my arms and level 2 my shoulders were really sore from the planks!!

    Des - quick trouble zones is just the first 4 cycles of the no more trouble zones dvd :)

    Maria - how far are you running in your race?


    I ended up doing the fit test of insanity yesterday and i was very hard, and i also did the first day of the 30 day slimdown (level 1 of the shred). Today i have just done the first workout of the Insanity dvd and i can hardly walk now lol, its really kicked my butt - i burnt 400 cal in 40mins (i was burning 260 cals of a 30min ripped dvd!) crazy stuff, i dont have it in my to do the shred again today.....maybe i will tonight tho....will see how i feel!!

    Des-no worries...I won't judge!! I have done a few "cleanses" myself...whatever works for you! AS LONG as you go back to healthy afterwards..of course! as far as not logging exercise...weren't you the one who suggested just adding in quick add cals for the same amount...so you can still keep track of your cals burnt but not feellike you need to eat them?? just curious :) can't wait to start L2...nervous as hell and L3 is already on my mind too! LOL

    Maree-great job on takin the first step with insanity...it freaks me out! LOL don't push yourself too hard though! and I will letcha know how L2 goes for me :)
