Good morning! I hope we all feel better and got some good sleep last night! I am still fighting this stuff. I think each day I see a little improvement, but not much.
I jumped the gun. I thought Alex was going to start the therapy today, but I think the guy we talked to on Friday left out an important detail: Alex has to be evaluated by the physical therapist first. So we are doing that today. Then, I guess, he will start later. So I am a little bummed but we'll get there eventually. I am just so anxious to see how he's going to do!
I'm not sure what else I am going to do today. Pushups, try to work out, and paint more. I have a long ways to go on that! I did order my "I did the hundred" shirt so I have some more motivation to get 'er done!
I hope you all have a good day. I'll check back in later!

Good luck getting him cleared, MM! I hope it goes well so you can start getting in the therapy he needs! I hope you feel better real soon!

Marla - hang in there, lady. You have a LOT going on right now that I would consider high stress. You're allowed to "whine" a little bit. God knows I would! You're doing great with EVERYTHING! I'll keep praying for you! Did you just say "git 'er done?" hehe That Mater pic from yesterday must have got to you.

How are the rest of our mommies doing today? It is Wednesday, but it has felt like Thursday all week. I just keep thinking, "seriously? only wednesday? great." I went to the grocery store with all the kids & the crazies are already out stocking up on stuffing like the apocolyse is coming. Geeze. Going to be interesting going out next week for our shopping trip! I'm sure I'll leave sweating & cussing under my breath like normal.

On a happier note, Floyd's coming home today! YAY! I'm not sure how the poor pup is going to handle everyone being overly excited about his homecoming, though. I just need to figure out a way to get him to take it easy.

Does anybody else do photo Christmas cards of their kids? I need tips on how to get them all to sit together at the same time. LOL I know, like THAT'S going to happen, right?

    Have lovely days, ladies!

My kids seem to do better when someone else (aka photographer) tells them to sit still. My kids dont get to watch tv that often so I usually try to bribe them with a show or a special snack if they cooperate. One photo that I have had work doing on my own is the one where the kids lay on the floor and you take the photo over head (of just their faces/upper body). I have one on my profile but the youngest one didnt really cooperate too well. Good Luck!
    Have a healthy day everyone!

Stacy - I love that pic of your boys, though. It is so cute! Ever since Tabitha's figured out how to crawl, I can't get them to do the floor shot any more. Professional photographers don't work that well for us, either. Micah doesn't like strangers & isn't won over easy so he glares at people. Zeke likes to show off so they can't get him to sit still b/c he's too busy asking them to "Watch what I can do!" LOL I might try the bribe. I got a few good ones yesterday of Zeke & Tabitha I can use but Micah's doing this horrible "CHEESE" face that might scare people on a Christmas card so I need to work on that. Thanks, Stacy!

Good afternoon ladies where has the day gone! I don't feel like it should be 1 oclock already. The only thing I've accomplished today is feeding the kids and myself and I got my workout in. I have this feeling I'm suppose to be doing something this afternoon but I don't remember what  Oh well I guess if it was important, it'll come back to bite me.
3BB I'm glad your dog is coming home, and everything turned out ok.

Oh, Marla. Those 2 are too much! Love it! Hope today was better for you!

Lyn - my day disappeared & I didn't even get my workout in. :grumble: I'm going to try to get up early tomorrow & try to sneak in a double at some point during the day.

I need to go to bed. Sleeping has been rare around here these days & my body is starting to feel it again & I'm slowing down on the weight front...again. My true test to how much I've lost is coming up on Sat. I'm going out to buy a dress for my husband's holiday party. I haven't bought a dress since the 16W/18W I bought for my daughter's baptism in April. It reminds me of something Mrs. Roper would wear on Three's Company. It was cute when I fit, though! LOL

LOL that's IT, Marla! How did you find my dress? HA! My mom is going with me b/c she's one of the only people's whose opinions I can trust about things on my body. My best friend wears plaid pants & that automatically discounts her. :noway: LOL

Hi ladies! I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaack. We had a tough couple of weeks here at Loki Fae ranch. But now DH is back and things are going a little easier. Although NOW we have Thanksgiving and Christmas to get ready for.

I didn't read through all the posts because...There was a lot of them, and I need to get Darrell ready to go to the gym. I LOVE that my gym has daycare. It's awesome.

I really haven't been doing well on food/exercise/drinking water. It's been stressful around here, and while I've been exercising quite a bit, I haven't really been tracking my food or making the best decisions. What made it really difficult was Darrell and I went with DH for a little while on tour. (Only a week, but if you've ever been trapped in a van with a bunch of smelly boys, musical instruments, and a 17-month old for hours a day...It seems like we were gone FOREVER) I guess I'm just not as young as I used to be.

Okay, enough complaining from me. I'll try to catch up with what's been going on in the SAHM group after we get back from the gym.

GOOOOOOOOD MORNING LADIES!!!! Oh it's WAY to early to be up but we have so much to do today, eat, exercise, feed the kids, bathe the baby, send son off to school, take baby to get pictures taken....how many calories do you think I can burn by stressing out about getting baby to the portrait studio with out having a blow out or having her throw up all over herself??? Oh well I guess I'll take two outfits just in case...wait now that means I have to find another outfit :noway:
On a positive note I've lost 2 lbs this week but I'm not going to count it until Monday, that's my normal weigh in day...hopefully I'll have lost more by then

Good job, Lyn! I can't wait to see what your weigh-in weight is on Monday! Good job! I could tell you horror stories of the portrait studio, but I shall refrain. I hope it goes really well!

You all have been such a great help and so much support for me I just cant tell you how much it means to me:flowerforyou: When I wake up in the mornings, I cant wait to get online and see what you are all up to (dont mean pounds there lol:wink: ), it really, really helps keep me motivated and moving in the right direction. Good morning, all-- quick pitstop before I start typing for the day--

LokiFae-- did I just hear a 23 year old woman say she isn't as young as she used to be? Thanks for making me feel ancient.

Drevan's mom-- Nonibug-- way to go on the weight loss. It really is helpful having this group-- you must be thrilled. I'll weigh in next week after the menstrual poof is gone. Interesting, though-- less fat and more muscle tone = less menstrual blech. Still substantive, but not nearly as bad. Yay.

Sara-- I'd avoid the plaid pants wearer, too-- {shudder} You may end up looking like a sofa.

Must go-- lots, lots, lots to accomplish. Hubby's sick AND needs to get ready to go to Florida for a golf tournament with my daughter (who's already down there with friends) so, should be an interesting day-- to say the least.

God bless us all this day, my friends-- stay strong!

I do it first thing in the morning, naked, after I go to the bathroom. I never weigh myself at night! I've found that to be depressing.

Oh my-- no,no-- do not weigh daily. You'll end up throwing yourself off a bridge-- or wanting to. Your body fluctuates all the time. Once a week, maybe-- or less often. I do it about twice a month knowing how my body fluctuates. It ticks me off if I don't see a loss each week after I've been faithful, so I'll do it twice a month.

And mornings are always better-- you weigh less then.

And make sure that you don't weigh the week before TOM!!! Or the week OF, for that matter. That is just incredibly depressing as well.

Oh, and Marla, you're only as old as you feel. And the past week, I felt about 80. I used to be able to wear a leather corset in a car for 8 hours and be completely comfortable, then go to a show and have fun until 1 or 2 in the morning. Well, I tried to wear my leather corset in the car, and had to take it off about 20 minutes into the drive, kept telling everyone to turn the music down, and went to sleep in the hotel room around 8 pm. LOL I felt like an old crotchety lady. But at least I was well rested.

And congrats on the weight loss, everybody! I haven't read through everything yet ( darn dishes :grumble: ) but I saw that everybody's been doing really well. You guys are awesome!!!!!!

MM - Look at those arms! I am officially jealous.

But, oh-- to be 23 again-- sighhhhhh. (Knowing what I know now!!!!!!!!!)

God bless you-- your baby is a dollbaby!!

You sound like me at 23 (which was only 3 years ago, but still). I've always been an "old soul"...or so all my crazy friends have told me. I like to use the term old geezer.

I'm one of the odd ones that weighs daily. I know I shouldn't but I just can't help myself. I do it in the morning after pumping, feeding the baby, feeding the dog but before showering, eating & getting dressed. I only do measurments once a week, though.

  • Well I have a really busy day tomorrow so I may not be on very much. I just wanted to wish everyone luck tomorrow and I hope you all have a great day. Anyone have any good suggestions for a low cal breakfast that will keep me full. I have been eating 1 egg and 2 cups of sauted vegetables but it is getting old.
    Thanks,
    Stacy
