Multi grain cheerios are about 110 cals per cup, plus 1/2 cup skim milk & a banana or a sliced up apple. Or I do a container of yogurt, a piece of fruit & a piece of wheat toast. Kashi Go Lean Crunch covered in yogurt & berries.

yogurt always fills me up and keeps me going awhile. And I don't bother with the froo-froo, faggy, Yoplait 100 calorie crap-- I get a good, old-fashioned 200 calorie blueberry yogurt-- lots of protein, healthy breakfast and I don't get hungry.

I love the Stoneybrook Farms Organic Low Fat Banilla. TASTY! I put that on my Kashi & it only takes about 1/3 of a cup to coat the cereal & the berries really well. YUM. I need breakfast...

OH! And I guess I should mention that today is my weigh in day and I lost another 4.6 lbs!:drinker: ~Roni

Congrats on the great weight loss! Is that for one week? Please tell me your secret! I cant get anymore than 2 per week. I guess I just have t work harder huh!?:ohwell: Congrats again!

Here's to another healthy day :drinker: ... off to get my push ups in!

    Stacy

Stacy-I didnt look at your profile or know how much weight you have to lose...? But I do know that I have been hearing that the more weight you have to lose (like I do) the easier it falls off in the beginning. (Yes, that is for 1 week:smile: ) And I am still at the beginning of my journey as I just started into my 9th week yesterday:happy: And so far I have lost a total of 29 lbs!:drinker: I am sooo happy and proud of myself, but I know that the more I lose, and the trimmer I get, the harder it will be to come off:cry: Sooo, dont get discouraged! Keep on doing what we're all doing and it WILL come off:heart:

Everyone-Im scheduled to have my first (since being cancer free for 7 yrs) cancer surgery tomorrow morning so I may not be around this weekend:cry: For those of you that dont know, I have malignant melanoma and was clean and cancer free for the last 7 yrs, but found out about a month and a half ago that it has come back. So, I am asking you all to keep me in your thoughts tomorrow...Im nervous and afraid (I have only admitted that here:ohwell: , to my family and on all outside appearances, I am "fine" of course lol) But, I am trying to stay positive, I have done my chemo and changed my eating habits, etc., etc. I have done all that was "suggested" that I do! I will try and stop in for a minute or two tomorrow after the surgery and let you all know how it went. Thank you for all your encouragment and support:heart:

Have a wonderful, happy, and healthy day ladies!:flowerforyou:

Wishing you the best Roni. Wow 7 years cancer free, you'll beat it again :flowerforyou:

Good morning ladies. I just have to say I have absolutely no motivation today. I am exhausted...and I just got out of bed. Yesterday went well. We didn't have any accidents on our picture clothes  not that it really would have mattered cuz the only pics I liked were the naked baby ones
I'm trying to get some laundry done this morning cuz we are supposedly leaving town for the weekend. I say supposedly cuz no final plans have been made and we are suppose to leave tonight

Anyway I just thought I would say hello before I jump head on into my day, workout, shower, feed kids, send son to school, hair appointment, pick up son from school (he only goes half days) and then when hubby gets home we will find out about tonight's plans.

3bb It's nice to see you in the Turbo Jam thread

I love the naked baby pics! They're all sweet & innocent with their little baby rolls. Awww...Glad it went well! Where are you headed tonight...maybe. I'm a HUGE fan of TJ & (as these girls will tell you) have a hard time shutting up about it. I thought maybe I should join a thread of my new exercise religion. LOL Have a good day!

MM - quick question. Has Alex done any speech therapy? Micah is going for speech testing on Monday & probably some sort of therapy so I was just wondering if you've gone through this type. Hope you are having a lovely day! How's the pushups going?

Well, Desi, TJ is the best workout routine I've ever done. It is challenging & fun & the music keeps my butt moving. There is variety in each workout so it is never boring for me. I despise the squat section of Punch Kick & Jam, but it doesn't last that long & you're onto something else. I sweat my butt off & always feel really great afterwards (that is, unless i eat Sonic first...I'm sure you remember THAT story. Blech). It is a little martial arts, a little kick boxing, aerobics. No floor stuff except in the Ab Jam, I think. It is the first workout that I've found myself looking forward to doing. The first few times I did it back in August, I was crying by the end b/c the instructor in the video is so motivating. (She told me she was proud of me & I started bawling mid kick. LOL Hormones, no?) There is once again my unpaid endorsement of Turbo Jam, a BeachBody product.

Thanks-- gotta check it out. Hubby freaks out a bit if it's "rock" music-- popular songs and all that jazz-- so I'll have to check it out. I'm shivering so bad-- I can't type. Sheesh

Heading to Sams Club with the kids--

Good news-- due for my period tomorrow, and right now I'm showing no gain-- which means this time next week there should be some loss-- yeee haaaa.

    [so cold-- ]

    Later--

Well, there's "mama gonna knock you out" on Cardio Party 1 so that's might be a problem.

Have fun at Sam's Club! One of my fav. stores. Does your s have click & pull? Best invention ever. I only have to go in & pay. It saves me a lot of stress.

Good luck with the benefit tomorrow, Dana!:flowerforyou:

Hi, I just have a minute. It's been a busy day. I'll try to catch up on posts later.
Alex has had a little speech therapy. His articulation is really good. He speaks pretty clearly. They think most of his speech problems are more sensory than actual speech problems. He repeats a lot. He's not as bad as he used to be. This boy could mimic sounds like nobody's business! Let me know how Micah's speech test goes.
I did some push ups but not according to the program. I just squeezed in what I could. I am going to test probably on Monday and see how I am doing. If I can ever shake this crud then I might make my goal.
    I gotta run!

We are suppose to be going to a little resort town about 2 hours north of where we live to stay at a friends house but since friend has not called to confirm plans I think it's a bust.

I bought TJ about 3 years ago...maybe just 2 hard to remember. I lost 20 lbs in two months...after that I quit doing it...not that I was at my goal weight but life happened and I just quit. However I managed to keep MOST of the weight off (gained back maybe 5 lbs) for 2 years. Then I got pregnant  So now I'm using it again to take off the baby weight and more. I lost 19 lbs in less than 2 months....and then I took a break for a couple weeks...but now I'm back to it. I hope to lose 10 lbs by Christmas.

Okay I have to vent about something and I will try to make this as short as possible. This morning when I took the trash out I heard a kitten just crying it's little heart out. I am not a cat person but the cry broke my heart :brokenheart: so I looked to see where it was coming from. I found it sitting in the bottom of one of our garbage cans in about an inch of water just shaking and crying. I tipped the can over so it could get out and then I went inside to get some milk cuz I'm pretty sure it was starving. It was hangin out in the sunshine when I came back out with the milk and it ate it right up. I checked on him (it, her whatever) throughout the day to make sure he was doing ok. This afternoon when hubby got home we went to find him. He wasn't there....could have wander out of the yard or something...who knows but what we did find were 2 more dead kittens in another trash can with about a foot of water. My hubby thinks someone dumped them in our trash cans added water and left. This DISGUSTS me. Again I am not a cat person but never in my life would I hurt one on purpose. If you dont want them take them to the human society or any other animal shelter. I seriously want to cry about it. Its just wrong to take another life....even if it is a cats.

Okay sorry had to get that out and I can't talk about it cuz we don't want my son to know about it. Time to go get dinner...I love Papa Murphys deLite pizzas

Oh, that makes me so sad! Our cat (as much as I really don't like her) was originally found in a garbage can with her 4 other brothers. A refuse worker was getting ready to dump the entire dumpster into his truck & heard them meowing. Luckily, he wasn't heartless & took them to the kitty shelter. Just left to be crushed. How horrible. I hope you find the little guy. :frown:

I give full credit to my weight loss to Turbo Jam. I've never had this kind of success with other fitness programs. It is very effective! I hope you make your 10# goal, Lyn!

MM - thanks for the info on the speech therapy. I'm really quite nervous about it. I think most of his problems are from having a little bit of tongue tie (which I've known since he was born) & I'm not sure, but I think the roof of his mouth might have some kind of problem. He's always getting food stuck up there. We'll see what happens on Monday...need to find a sitter for the other 2 monsters. Good job getting those pushups in! I'm so excited for you getting so close to 100!

Chill ladies-- it may all just be his wittle brain is gearing up faster than his wittle mouth can keep up. He may just grow out of it. David, 18 year old, was an extremely precocious kid who spoke like a dream-- until he turned four and then he couldn't spit out a sentence if you paid him. He stuttered terribly-- we waited it out, and by age 5 it was gone, never to be seen again.

Josh is starting a bit too-- but it's the funniest combination of Porky Pig 150px-Porky_pig.jpg
    and Foghorn Leghorn. foghorn_leghorn.jpg
    "Mommy?" "Yes, Joshy?" "I-- I-- I-- IIIIIII say-- I-- I-- IIIIIIIIIIII say, where's Daddy?"

    It drives us crazy-- :noway:

Hey-- I ordered Turbo Jam, used, from Amazon-- 9.00 plus s+h-- under $12.

Probably shouldn't have spent the money-- but, that $12 won't pay a bill right now-- hubby and Sarah are away for the week so we save on groceries when some of us are gone-- so, I did it.

I'll let you know how I like it-- Thanks for the tip!!

okay, moms-- total personal question here-- since beginning this weight loss journey, have any of you noticed your cycle is more regular? Mine is eerily so-- I am due 11/22 and just after midnight, I began-- no kidding.

I've never been "exactly" 28 days before, but since all this eating right, exercising, no sweets, good for me crud-- you could set a watch by me. Hmm-- go figure, eh?

Okay, now I REALLY have to get to work.

David is off tomorrow to Virginia Tech with a friend to watch Virginia Tech/Duke football game, spend the night down there with a local friend who's a freshman there this year, and then they're all coming home Sunday. This is his first big "road trip" and he's a pig in poop. He's out the door at 7am, so I told him I'd be up to stock him up with PB&J for the trip. Hope has basketball practice at 8, and hubby isn't home, so I'll be up anyway-- zzzzzzzz. And yet, here I sit instead of working-- really need to work.

Rise and Shine!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What? Didn't EVERYONE have to make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches at 6:30 for two ravenous 18 year old travelers and then take an exuberant 9 year old to her basketball practice? Come on lazy lumps-- out of those beds!!!!!!!

okay-- how stupid is this-- so I'm making these sandwiches-- PB&J is my absolute favorite. And my son bought "Arnold Country White' bread for this trip. He said he got it half-price-- 'only $1.99," he said. I told him for that money I could have bought 3 loaves at Aldi--

But, that's not the stupid part. So, here I'm making these sandwiches and I'm salivating. When I was done, there were two crusts left over. I looked at the calorie count and saw 120 calories and thought, "Hmm-- not bad, a sandwich with aldi bread is 140 calories," so I made and ate a glorious sandwich, 2 tablespoons of peanut butter, one beautiful tablespoon of strawberry preserves-- 1/2 cup of ice cold milk......mmmmmmmm.

Got done and got to thinking-- "Wait a minute-- those slices are bigger than Aldi-- how can two slices be less than two of Aldi's?" Duhhhhhhhhh--

    120 calories apiece.

So, before 7am I have ingested nearly 1/2 of my daily allotment-- stooooooopid.

But, it was yummy and I have noooooooo regrets. I'll just exercise later, Lord willing, and plan it all into my day.

Now-- to sleep for another 45 minutes before picking up Hope? Or work-- I think the typing will wake up Caleb-- (I'm typing slowly and softly right now-- ) so sleep it is.

And yeah, so I'm rambling-- wanta make something of it?

God bless us all this day, my friends!!!!!!!:flowerforyou:  :flowerforyou:

Marla you crack me up. I purchase Franz whole grain white bread. Its 160 calories for 2 SLICES and 6 grams of Fiber. Price? I don't know, we buy the two packs at Costco. I love it cuz one piece of toast doesn't cost me too many calories and the fiber is great for my son (he has a small constipation issue...LONG story).

Well I'm up early cuz my boobs felt like they were going to explode ...sorry if thats TMI :blushing: . I usually pump before I go to bed so that I have a little bit to mix with Adi's cereal and I didn't last night. Plus it's now 8 am and she's just getting up. I love that my almost 5 month old sleeps 10 hours straight, but my boobs dont think it's so great

I dont think we are going on our trip today....but then again we might. Our friends didn't call last night to confirm anything and honestly I don't expect them to call today either. Wouldn't be the first time they flaked out on us :grumble:

So today's plan, get a small cardio workout in (20 minute TJ workout) and then do some toning (Turbo Sculpt). I'm really discouraged about my lack of weight loss this week. My 2 lbs that I thought I had lost earlier in the week have returned. I've stayed within my calories and I've been working out everyday. I'm drinking 2 cups of green tea and drinking over 80 oz of water a day. I really thought I would lose some weight this week

Well Adi is ready to eat, gotta go. Hope everyone has a great day!

Bless you drevansmom-- there is nothin' more precious than nursing dem babies. But, I'm with you-- oh, my, the discomfort when you've gone all night and haven't nursed. Youch.

Have a great day-- we have the Ohio State/Michigan football game at noon-- I have to work, but must try to take some of it in. Half of my kids (the evil ones) root for Michigan-- the other half root for their Mama's buckeyes. I'll be sure to text David all game as the Buckeyes devour the Wolverines.
