He was charging you a clothing tax. If you wore less clothes on a regular basis, you'd have gotten your change back.

<~~~~ Can read and thinks you're kinda hot.

Unfortunately, being straight, none of that really matters. :-)

But when I finally make my way to your neck o' the woods (someday!) I'll treat you to lunch.

Would you like me to bend over so you can kiss it now or should we save that for later?

This is @#$@ #$@$5 awesome. I'm sorry you had to go though that. but what a great story. I'm embarrassed for that guy, kind of puts us to shame. He should have paid the whole thing. If you forced that I want to pay thing fine.

Does he know that chickens get abused too?

My 1st date with my now boyfriend lasted 6 hours at Dave and Buster's, funnest 1st date ever! We ate and talked, had a few beers, then we played pool. I tried to pay for the pool table since he payed for everything, he gave me this weird look and said no thank I got it.

Then a few months later when we were officially together he told me he doesn't feel right when a woman pays for him.

I'd go find another first date if I were you. =)
  • It'd be intellectually dishonest of me to NOT point out that the guy insulting the OP has a user picture not showing his face.

    Oh! Oh! Let me know!!!

My mom's in Buffalo right now staying with my grandmother, but I know she intends to eventually get back to WI. Either way, there are so many Chicago and WI people up there, I will probably take a trip even without seeing my mother. One of these days.

Totally doesn't put "men" to shame :) I would never throw y'all in any type of category like that *LOL* I actually think he may just so new to the dating scene that it's all foreign territory.

And I can't even think about chicken slaughter houses. Really quite disgusting. But tasty :blushing:

My rule is this...I always pay for a meal out with a lady...ALWAYS. Yes, over time I have had ladies take me to out to eat and have paid but they were for special occasions (bday or fathers day etc...) but I have ALWAYS and will ALWAYS pick up the whole tab at a meal and pay for it.

It is what a gentleman does.

Regardless of the weird meat eating thing (maybe he was just nervous), he should have paid. Good on you for offering to pay. Thats always a good thing, and shows someone that you are a strong capable independent woman. But really, it supposed to go like this...

    Bill comes.
Guy grabs it (doesn't show the girl!)
Girl pulls out wallet, offers to pay.
Guy says no, I've got it.
Girl says thanks, puts wallet away.

Now, I know someone is going to get all pissed at me and say something about women's equality. I mean this only for the first few dates. Once a relationship is established, it absolutely should be 50/50.

Personally, I agree with this for first dates, especially if he asked YOU on the date.

I have noticed that most of my guy friends who are my age automatically pay when we go out to dinner/lunch, even though we're not dating--if I offer to pay half, most of the time they won't let me. When I've been in a relationship, after the first few dates, we start to go dutch.

DANG GIRL... WHAT AN *kitten*!!!! Good for you for offering to pay... I'm all about paying my own way. IT'S " SUPPOSED " TO GO DOWN LIKE THIS~~~~~~~~~ When the bill came, you offer to pay your part & at that point he should've offered to pay for the total bill... you politely ask, " are you sure? " If again he insists to pay... you simply reply with a " thank you! "

" IF" you had planned on a second date, from there you guys should've been 50/50.... & if you guys really hit it off... you can occasionally pick up the total bill.

He was not a gentlemen... very selfish on his part.... AND as far the " killing of the animals bit & the dork orders chicken?????? WHAT THE HECK????????? LOL

DEFINATELY, NEED TO CUT HIM LOOSE... IF HE CALLS YOU FOR A SECOND DATE... TELL HIM NO THANX!!! YOU'RE GOIN HUNTIN... LMAO!!!

If I were dating.. The guy would open doors for me.. He would pay for dinner, he'll pay any expenses of the date. Because HE is courting ME. Chilvary (sp?) is SEXY!!
He's trying to impress you. Doesn't really impress you if you have to pay for the bill.
Your a lady and should be treated like one. If he's not up to that then MOVE on.
Was he a dorky looking 6'9? Or a HOT 6'9? Just out of curiosity

I'm hoping that you just shared this for the comedy value! He is a total loser (and a hypocrite).

Run, as fast as you can - lose his number and pray that he loses yours...

I'm old fashioned, but I do expect a man to at least *offer* to pay on a first date (unless he's really broke - I'm not completely hard-hearted). If I have to pay or go dutch, I won't say anything, but there won't be a second date!
