It happens!! I hope you are feeling less stressed and have a killer day tomorrow :)
    Hey Team Yellow (and all!)

My body has a very physical reaction to stress, and with everything going on in my life my body was so out of whack today. I tried to stay on track with my eating but I know I went over and felt too icky to move much :( hopefully I'll do better tomorrow.

oh and real quick...I checked my diary...it is already set at 1200 (the lowest it will go) and that projects a 1lb/week so I guess I am gonna have to just kick it for these next 13wks to get to my goal huh?!

  • Tausha, try this for your logo, except make the IMG's lowercase. Yours went from really big to really small!

    KAREN!!! THANK YOU!!!

Ok team purple... If this is good for you I have the logo. I do know that Laura had sent me a message about it last night before KaeChelle helped me fix this one.

If Laura comes up with one I'm fine with that too. Laura let me know...and we will choose between this one and the one you make. I don't mind either way..

Especially if yours is more creative, b/c mine is pretty plain! :0)

    ROCK IT TEAM PURPLE! :0)

Hi Suzanne! I noticed that Tara had also made a logo for your team. (tjradd76)

You two may want to talk about which the team should use!

    :0) Just letting you know.

Hope you are doing well. Tausha

    Ok my dears..

    Checking in on everyone!

First, to my AWESOME Purple team...

YOU GIRLS ROCK! Keerti...Amazing work on surpassing the 5000 already! Laura, you are rocking it!! Kris...where are you?? :0) Renee...you are amazing as always! You are going to be so close to your goal weight when we finish this!!!

To teams Orange, Yellow, Red, Blue, and Pink..... I LOVE the support and participation I am seeing on here.

    Team GREEN?? Where are you??

If there is ANYONE who is NOT receiving support.... PLEASE LET ME KNOW!! I don't want you to get discouraged and quit. Please tell me ASAP and you can be assigned to a different team. I want everyone to feel supported, motivated and WELCOME!

Ok...we have 3 days left.. Where are you with your calorie burn? Can you kick it up a notch? If you absolutely KNOW that 5000 is not do-able this week.... WHAT IS?? Can you challenge yourself to 4000, or 3000? Remember, any improvement is just that, AN IMPROVEMENT! A step in the right direction... One more action taken to hit that goal.

Other than Exercising and Calorie intake, what are you doing to support yourself in attaining your ULTIMATE goal?
Well, step one...You took initiative to join this group.

At home are you sharing your goal with those you love?
Are you asking for their help?
    Are YOU really SERIOUS??
Are you reading inspiring materials?? (are you having alone time with God...or whatever you believe to be true? Are you self reflecting each day...and moving on and forward from days that aren't so successful??

Remember....If you don't move FORWARD...you are stuck in the past. I think many of us have been stuck there for way too long! We are letting ourselves down and ultimately setting up our own demise if we don't GET OVER our past failures.

Bumps in the road should only be slight speed bumps rather than some deep dark hole we fall into where we believe the LIES we tell ourselves!!

DON"T BE YOUR OWN WORST ENEMY!!! YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!

By the way.... I would LOVE if the girls who are very close to their goal weights, or who are in maintenance would share their stories with us! What did you do to get over your own self-talk?? What were your struggles?? How did you overcome them? Who made a major difference in your life/?

My love and blessings to all of you.

    Tausha

These are some questions I'm asking myself. I have been self-sabotaging for YEARS!
  • Tausha, thanks so much for sharing what you are learning and encouraging the rest of us! You are an awesome challenge leader!

Hey Team Orange: here's my update for calories burned so far. I'm the slacker of the group based on my news ticker!

    9/1: 457
    9/2: 665
    9/3: 572
    9/4: 558
    9/5:
    9/6:
    9/7:

    total 2252
    to go: 2748

I need to get over 900 per day the next 3 days to make 5000 and I can't see that happening. I'll hit 4000 though so that's good. Mariam, I love the logo, can you tell me EXACTLY how to get the url into my ticker? I looked around under tools and things but couldn't see how to add more than the basic thing.

Tausha, thanks for the inspiration. You are such a great motivator for these challenges! As somebody is kinda in maintenance and has hit my goal weight, I'd be happy to share my story as soon as my fingers stop hurting from pulling weeds! Gotta go polish silver next but at least I'll be sitting down for that!

I'm so impressed by you guys so far! Keerti surpassing the 5000 calorie burn already is amazing! Those of you powering through injuries and illness-wow.

Good luck to all the teams but GO TEAM ORANGE!

No worries Team Yellow...my biggest 3 burns of the week will start tonight! I have decided to wear my HRM during my busy 12 hour shift at the hospital, and I will MINUS my BMR off of the total at the end of my shift in the AM! I will be doing this for my next 3 work nights, and should end up with a decent number for sure!

OH!! I have this for yellow's logo...which would you guys rather use?? I'm game for either....here's the link for this one if you are interested...REMEMBER change s tosLOGO.jpg

Tausha-thanks for the continued support!! I put up the IMG code for my logo and told the others in the group to chose between mine and Suzannes...so we should be set with it soon!!

    As for my story....
I was always overweight since like 1st grade anyways...so this was nothing new for me! I ended up having a baby at a very young age (17yrs) and went from my chubby 150ish self to 210lbs during the pregnancy! I was very sick at the end of my pregnancy and afterwards and ended up gaining back everything that I had lost after birth! Over the next 4 years, life was stressful..I was in a "wrong" relationship, working almost full time, going to school full time, and raising a new baby....and there you have it....my highest weight (that I know of) 226lbs on my 5'3" frame!!

From there...my now ex-husband and I decided to move cross-country, to start over in our lives and relationship...so through more stress, and working 60 hours/week I managed to lose just over 60lbs the unhealthy way (not eating enough or right at all, and no exercise!). Well not surprisingly...our relationship got worse and I put back on about 15 of those lbs.

My life finally changed when we had decided to get separted...I joined MFP in October 2010 (4 months after my ex moved out) at a start weight of 181lbs. From there, I learned about the right way to lose weight...and have now gotten down to 129lbs in these 11 months. So that is 52lbs in ll months and 97lbs total so far!

I intially started working on how MUCH I ate, then I went to WHAT I ate, and then I added exercise, and now (pushing through a plateau for the past 4 months) I have been focusing on adding in more strength to my workouts, upping my protein, eating even clearner than I have already been, and zig-zagging my cals! Who would have thought, that almost I year ago, I had NO CLUE as to what it meant by being, eating, and living healthy!!!

Here's to everyone else's success...as well as my own continued success...*CHEERS*!:drinker:

I tried working on one but couldn't figure out how to get it into my signature or get the link. I'm not that technically savvy. :P

How are you doing w/C25K? I loved it!! I did it to get ready for the Warrior Dash back in June. Ran my 1st official 5k on 4th of July. I was never ever a runner, but the program was awesome. And now I really enjoy running.

You are doing so great!! I am really trying! But I have a hard time figuring calories in that are "normal", so I am just sticking with the things that are extra.

Maria, your numbers are also amazing!!!

I will get a work out in tomorrow and if this rain stops maybe tomorrow I can talk the family in to doing something active. The YMCA is closed and the pool will be closed all week!
