Tom you plugging away everyday with them 20 and 30 miles each day it is going to be tough for me to stay ahead of you. You whooped everyone last month and you probably will do it again this month. Keep it up your doing great.0 -

6/9/2011 - 24.45km - total 115.64Km (71.84 miles) - 2,343Kcal (10,573 Kcal total) - horrible, horrible static bike stress testing for my knee injury at hospital - 5 minute warmup and warmdown, with a 10 mile "Keep it at 400+watts" in the middle... Yuk! Then, just for good measure, they stick 3 big needles in my knee, and can't give me any results for a couple of days... I've been happier :grumble:

9/9/2011 - 17.96Km - total 158.02km (98.17 miles) - 1,229 Kcal (13,432 Kcal total) - short loop - Dad's birthday today, & need to buy a present for him
10/9/2011 - 24.38Km - total 182.40Km (113.32 miles) - 1,597 Kcal (15,029 Kcal total) - normal loop - horrible winds.
11/9/2011 - sore throat / chest cold

I really don't like days off. So, I just keep plugging away when my schedule permits. I lose roughly a pound every 50 miles, as long as I don't blow the diet. So, I'm trying to stay motivated to ride in the wind and the rain this fall.0 -

I am not saying this to stay ahead of you but a day off now and then wont hurt you. In fact it may even be better for you to give your legs and muscles a chance to heal from your riding. I very seldom will ride two days in a row if they are longer rides. Your doing great keep it up.0 -
Hey All:
Another down week for me...work just did not let me get on the bike much. I was hoping to get a long ride in this morning but heavy rain moved in at mile 15 and I called it a day. I ended up with 30 miles for the week so I am only at 146 miles for the month.
I just signed up for a charity ride in October so hopefully that will motivate me to get back out on the road more.

I'm not really trying to compete with anyone else; I mope around a lot, and don't feel as good, when I don't ride. Riding helps my overall attitude, and gives me time to think. I was the same way, back when I was a kid.0 -

Sprint triathlon was awesome. Swim was brutal, run was good, and the bike ride was aweseome. Won't be updating my mileage until next week though...left my log @ home and I'm still at the beach until Sunday. Have a great week!0
