    MONTHLY CHALLENGE:

So in retrospect...I thought this week was going to be a pretty good week, Thursday things fell apart when things got a little overwhelming. Next week it is going to be gradually more chaotic when I get more hours at work. Tomorrrow I can get back on track, get organized and feel a little more under control.

On the postiive side, I have lost 1 more percent on my body at and have increased my lean muscle mass. My naturopath/trainer doctor guy Aaron has encourged me to think about going dairy free due to my IBS symptom and see what that does...that's going to be a challenge and I will take it on in October when i am back from Vancover when I have to go out ther mid October. He has also given me some more med's to try and inflammatory plus probiotic plus lglutamine. I have a new plan starting Sunday with this and armed with new protien mix to give things a try.

The whole thing is a process and I keep pushing my boundaries with this and keep moving forward. Only 15 lbs to my goal and that's alot better a few months ago when my goal was 45 lbs.

so that's it in a nutshell...not superwoman, just keep going woman.

  • WEEK 3 SPREADSHEET HAS BEEN UPDATED:

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Au4IAEZ94WeKdGk0QlljSC1aQjlFVWpfd0hBX3VMV3c&hl=en_US&pli=1#gid=0

I haven't been losing weight as i would like to have...i think it's the overconsumption of healthy oils that I am taking...i want to cut back, but it's been helping so far (along with UVA/UVB tanning). Supposedly it kills whatever is causing this skin condition. Anyways, i'm going to try to up my "light" exercise which is basically walking to and from places when i do errands. i still haven't been to the gym in so long...the sweat makes my skin condition worse.

I'll try to cut back more on the oil though. Maybe just 2 tablespoons of coconut oil a day....

I believe the high amounts of water (120 oz and more) helps me lose weight. that is really good for me! i'll try to aim for 10+ glasses this week.

My goal weight will be 143.0 (ish) by my weigh-in date (thursday).

    Good luck all!

Everyone is doing good! Let's push ourselves to lose weight!

GOOD JOB TOPSKING! You are losing weight!!

One thing about this challenge... I am learning what my body likes and doesn't. Smaller more frequent meals and snacks make me feel much better. When I eat a large meal, even if vegetarian and healthy, I feel uncomfortable.
I had a crappy weekend but I'm doing my best to get back on a roll!

  • I did EVERYTHING (all challenges) today except staying under my cals :(

I might change my calorie goal for the moment while I am taking a break from exercise to let my skin heal.
Otherwise, I will always go over my cals (1200 cals).

    What do you all think?
  • Today was tough. Hubby got some bad news from the doctor: Internal Bleeding!

    We don't know why -yet.

I'm not sleeping well and Tom made today's diary look like a hell storm. The good news is that I had to change clothes 3 times today because my clothes were all too big.

I managed to lose 1/2 a pound last week. I don't want any of you thinking for a solitary minute that I'm giving up -cause I'm NOT!!!! I just need to recalibrate -starting today. I'm looking forward to no glucose, extra water and all that.

About the coconut oil, you'd be amazed -some say that monounsaturated fats help you lose inches (among other health benefits). Sad part is, I'm not sure that coconut oil fits the monounsaturated fat profil. I think it's a saturated fat -hummm. Anyway, you should track your inches.

I hope this isn't considered cheating, but Monday's challenge wasn't posted until after I went to work and had already packed my lunches. I had two servings of fish and nailed everything else for the day, so I gave myself a three. Can we assume that Mondays will always be meatless at this point?

Maybe you can swap the day with Monday and make today meat free? I think the point is to try each of these daily challenges throughout the week, one challenge per day. If you can do that, that is the same to me and it should not matter which day you did it. However it helps to keep us all doing the same challenges to "cheer" each other on.
  • Upped my cals! PHEW! I feel much better about my diet now, and more relaxed. I won't lose that much weight though...well according to MFP, only 0.5 lbs per week (as opposed to 2 lbs). But i'll try to lose more with 12+ glasses of water and lost of walking, cleaning, and other types of calorie burning (sweat free) activities.

My skin is responding well to the UVB tanning as suggested by the dermatologists. So that is good.

How is everyone doing GLUTEN FREE / DAIRY FREE today?

WE'RE ALMOST HALFWAY THROUGH THIS MONTH!

Anyone notice some long lasting "healthy" habits that will stick with them?

For me, it's the water. I used to not be able to take 8 glasses of water. Now, I'm SUPER thirsty if I don't drink at least 8 glasses.
