    Well girls I'm in shock,
Did not expect to pull 1.8lb this week, pleasant surprise, maybe I do need to eat back some of my housework calories, especially at the week end, as it's 2 days of full on chores that don't happen during the week.

Now don't get me wrong I want to lose weight and sill have over 30 lbs to go, but I must make this a lifestyle change, the eating is going fine as mostly we still eat what was normal for us, I'm just more careful about portion control and have stopped cooking with butter, and for me i have excluded the cheap nasty but oh so yummy chocolate bars and bags of chips.

How am I ever going to make physical activity a natural part of my daily life??? I am so different to the young girl i was, 25 years ago i was a amateur athlete in several sports, volleyball, badminton and swimming, and just for fun i was part of a touring synchronised swimming troop.

It's good to see some of the old faces back with us, as a group of 50 i think we were aiming for 1000lb loss for Christmas, that would have been tough with only 16 regulars.

    So goals for this week:
    1. Bed by 23.00.
    2. No more than a deficit of 100 calories per day. hope I'm explaining this correctly, I mean eat back almost all of the exercise calories
    3. 7 days of level 3 30 day shred..

I'm over the moon this weekend as I lost 2.2 pounds this week and this time I felt like I deserved it. I worked really hard to eat right and exercise lots. So I'm now at 271.6 (272 officially).

But I really only have one goal this week and that is to lose at least 1.8 to bring me to that magical 50 pounds lost. Once I get there, I will feel that I've really accomplished something.

Oh, and the thing that I'm most thankful for this year, other than the obvious family, friends, health, home, etc., is finding MFP and becoming part of this community of support, motivation, and encouragement. We are truly all in this together. I hope you all have great successes this week and in the coming weeks.

Congrats. Samon on the 1.8 and Tannyb 2.2 in marvelous !! You'll be at magic 50 in no time. It's a nice place, I just got here myself.
    Babygurl 2 hours is a looong walk...great job !
HAPPY THANKSGIVING to my Canadian friends. Enjoy your holiday. I'm off for Columbus day here  , only important thing is the schools and banks are closed. Everyone else I know is working. Weird holiday. Grocery shopping for me, good luck on the weigh ins. I'll be snooping in all day.

I am pretty satisfied with my progress this week. We went out of town for a Tae Kwon Do tournament, where my 8 year old daughter won her two matches. Leaving home is always a scary challenge for me because we are relatively new health food vegans and eating in restaurants can be daunting (especially for a family of 4). We did OK and we even found a Vietnamese Vegan Restaurant in Van Nuys CA. It was delicious and the chef was willing to prepare it per my request of "no oil". Here are my stats for the week:

    CHRISTMAS CHALLENGE

I have taken a cue from fellow Challenge members and being happy with my progress. I've exercised, eaten pretty well, and tried to stay on target. I know I need to keep my water up and will keep trying. I am not having as much success with my walking partners, but have asked another person to walk with me. I think I will challenge myself to get more than 6 hours of sleep - this is a really tough one for me.
Thanks to all of you for your wonderful support! Having a group really DOES make a difference for me.

    4. don't miss Zumba this week! - Friday I had to pick up my sister from France at the airport.

Hi everyone and sorry I have not been around on here for an age!!

I wrote this a few weeks ago when I signed up :

    "SW 144 lbs (10 stone 4lb)
    CW 134 lbs (9 stone 7lb)
would like to be 128lb for Christmas and stay that way! "

I am actually at 129 lb!!! Thanks to some great support on MFP - special thanks to brobin who has encouraged me every day - thank you so much!!

I have recently revised my goal weight down to 126lb now that I can see what I look like at 129lb, and am looking forward to making that well in advance of Christmas. I need to go and buy some new clothes for this winter :-)

Although I am a brit and live in the UK i have just arrived in Canada today on a business trip and am shattered so will be heading to bed soon and will no doubt be awake in the early hours, when I intend to hit the (very small) gym in the hotel and burn some calories before the day starts for real!

happy thanksgiving to all lovely Canadians out there!! Keep up the good work everyone!!

    Week 9 - 262 (Oct 10)

Well, down a little since last time I checked in. Had some medical problems and ended up in day surgery last week. Hopefully that's the last of the "surprises" for a bit and I can get back to logging in everything and slowly getting back to exercising next week. Plan for this week: get back to logging what I eat to help make better choices. AND Getting the ok to go back to exercising.
Thanks for those of you who checked in with me :) It was very much appreciated.

Water has been hit and miss as has been the walking. Can only keep working at it! the weight loss is still going OK, but know I will have to step it up to keep it going.

I am stuck! I know the only way I will loose is to excercise and here lately I have been stuck in a rut. My sweet hubby said he is going to start walking with me tomorrow. I am going to try and make more time for MFP as I need the motivation. Thanks to all of you for the motivation:)

NSV alert ! While I was digging in my closet for something that fit a little better, I stumbled across a few pairs of pants I had put to the back of the closet ,( a few years ago mind you) , I tried them on , and THEY FIT !!! Size 14. I then decided to visit the Goodwill Store...for a few slightly used tops. ( Can't keep buying new ). I stumbled across a wool pea coat , brand new, with tags from J.C. Penney 159.99 for ,15.00 and best of all size L. No x in front of it !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Woohoo! What a treasure find to celebrate!

    Good morning Ladies !

NSV - is a non scale victory  ...hunt them down and hang on to tight . Sometimes those are what gets you through when the numbers don't move..very important stuff !!

188 - up 1.6 lbs this morning. I'm not going to get bummed. I ate dinner late ( 7:45 pm) and it was stuffed shells no less. So I'm sure that's all it is. Been working out like a crazy lady at the gym and drinking oceans full of water. Lots of good stuff. Besides a 3 lb. loss the week before was just too much to really accept. Ah.... the rose color glasses come off. :blushing:

Great job ladies...love to see some people coming back around. We're here for you .

Have a great day everyone .
