So I did really good with exercise this morning and then lost it with the eatting habits. Once I start to see the scale move I always feel like I can eat a little more of this and that. I need a little bit of help and motivation please!!!

IM a little comfused. I want to see the results from all the other tems and I know someone told me wehre to find it but can't seem to find it. Help me please it would be great. My personal goal is to workout twice tomorrow since I didn't workout today. Once in the morning and once again in the evening. I want to start drinking a lot more water also. I seem to be craving it a lot more that is for sure. Well its time for me to go to bed. This day has been stressful and tiring. :noway: This is the time that all i want to do is eat. eat eat eat eat eat eat. I know i can't do that but it feels like i should.

Good news: I had some company over the other day and they hadn't seen me for about 6 months and they said "have you lost weight" I said well yes i have 27lbs and they all said you look great. :flowerforyou: I was so happy to hear that.

Last winter I couldn't fit my jacket. This winter I have been able to fit into. Not only that but I can not put a sweatshirt under it and feel comfortable. :drinker: I couldn't be more excited.

Hello team... I just wanted to check in with everyone. I have been keeping up with my food diary, but not exercising. I also have been trying to drink at least four cups of water. My baby girl has been sick for the past week, but she is getting better. Hopefully I can step my exercise game up a little next week. Also, WELCOME BORAC!

Yoo-Hoo, Blues!! Where are you??? :flowerforyou:

I've gotten icy-hot for my knee and it didn't really do anything except feel, um, icy...hot. So, I'm going to try the heating pad thing tonight and hopefully make it to the doctor next week! I tried a knee brace and it made it hurt worse. :grumble: That's not supposed to happen!

I've been cleaning today. I have had an awesome breakfast and awesome snack so far today! It's noon.

For breakfast, I sauteed green peppers and mushrooms in a little Smart Balance butter, then scrambled my eggs with it. I had a piece of whole wheat bread and instant coffee with a tablespoon of vanilla soymilk and Splenda. My snack was a Mocha Chocolate Fiber One bar. Yum!!

What are you guys munching on today? What kinds of exercises are you doing? How do you feel? :flowerforyou:

I didnt get to exercise yet today but I bought the My fitness coach yesterday for the Wii so I will probably try that out. I usually try to go to the rec center in the morning for the 8 oclock classes monday thru friday and next week the daycare is closed on Mon, tues and thurs.   :explode: :grumble: :noway: :frown:  They are in the process of hiring someone new and it sucks because I love my morning classes.

ok- so yesterday was my birthday, and I was really good until I went out to dinner...LOL  The Coconut Cheesecake from the Cheescake Factory did me in. But, you know what, it's the first cheesecake that I've had since my birthday last year. Good thing birthday's only come once a year.

Back on track today and getting ready to break out the wii

Wow...your breakfast sounds really yummy! I had oatmeal with a little brown sugar for breakfast. I am actually trying to cook a healthy version of a soul food dinner tonight: collard greens, candied yams, and black eyed peas. I am using no porkfat and only a couple of TBSP of olive oil for the greens. I hope this turns out ok because I am a southern girl and I'm used to cooking soul food with a lot of added fat. But in order to change my health, I've got to learn new ways to cook the foods I love to eat. Wish me luck!

    Hello Everybody!!

I had a great day! I was able to have a little "me" time & get my hair done while my husband watched the girls for about 3 hours! Then when I got home he was agreeable to letting me get on the treadmill while he watched the girls just a bit longer! He's so great!!

So, I'm feeling good! Energized by my workout & feeling beautiful with my new hair!

I LOOOOOVE collard greens!! Let me know how your (light) southern cooking went! For the first time EVER the other day at lunch I found out how green beans taste without being cooked with fat. I do miss fried squash...lol. My dinner consisted of some peel-and-eat shrimp from Kroger with tons of Old Bay seasoning on them. Little salty, but it worked!

How's your day so far? :flowerforyou:

:flowerforyou: You're doing awesome!! If you're strugging, just remember how STRONG you've been in the past... even the strongest fall a teeny bit sometimes, but that doesn't cancel out what they've already done! You won't gain all that you've lost in one weekend. So, enjoy a little splurge, then make Monday your "start-over" day. We're all here for you!!

Spaghetti Squash?? Let us know when you learn what to do with it! I wanna know! I just mentioned to someone else that I miss fried squash.

And, where did you get the biggest loser digital scale?? $17 isn't too bad... I've been curious about weighing things, too. I'm sure that will be an excellent investment!

I got a heart rate monitor from Wal-Mart last night! :drinker: I can't remember the name of it. But, I checked ****'s Sporting Good's and Play-It-Again Sports for Polar's and couldn't find one. This one was $50.... we'll see how it goes!

I found this recipe at allrecipes.com - there were lots more but this looked good to me!

    Spaghetti Squash I
    Submitted by: James
Rated: 4 out of 5 by 451 members Prep Time: 15 Minutes
Cook Time: 30 Minutes Ready In: 45 Minutes
    Yields: 6 servings

"Such a perfect name for this squash. When it's baked, its meat looks like glistening strands of pasta. For this recipe, the squash is baked and then combined with feta cheese, sauteed vegetables, olives, and basil. Lovely."
    INGREDIENTS:
1 spaghetti squash, halved lengthwise and
    seeded
    2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 onion, chopped 1 clove garlic, minced
    1 1/2 cups chopped tomatoes
    3/4 cup crumbled feta cheese
    3 tablespoons sliced black olives

    2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil

    DIRECTIONS:
    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a baking sheet.
    2. Place spaghetti squash cut sides down on the prepared baking sheet, and bake 30 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a sharp knife can be inserted with only a little resistance. Remove squash from oven, and set aside to cool enough to be easily handled.
    3. Meanwhile, heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Saute onion in oil until tender. Add garlic, and saute for 2 to 3 minutes. Stir in the tomatoes, and cook only until tomatoes are warm.
    4. Use a large spoon to scoop the stringy pulp from the squash, and place in a medium bowl. Toss with the sauteed vegetables, feta cheese, olives, and basil. Serve warm.

Cut the squash in half lenghtwise and place cut side down in a pan or baking dish and add some water to it. I pop mine in the microwave for about 5 minutes. The time varies depending on the size. I just keep checking it and nuking it again if needed. You could bake it too. After you get it soft and tender, use a fork and scrape out the insides of the squash when it is cool enough to handle. It will be stringy like spaghetti. At our house, we use it just like spaghetti noodles and mix it with pasta sauce, add meatballs, etc.

I like your thinking! I wasn't able to fit a true workout in yesterday and I hope to make up for it before weigh in. On a more positive note, I did watch my intake more carefully yesterday so that I did not exceed recommended limits.

    Go Blue Team!

Man yesturday was a bad day. Coughing is the only exercise I have done in a week, and I feel horrible for it. Have been doing good for eating except for last night. Had some friends come over for a games night, and I consumed way way to many calories. Only one day of it, so shouldn't be so bad. Will get back on track again today. Hopefully this week I will be able to start back on the treadmill.

I can proudly say that today is day 7 of exercise - do you know how many years it's been since I could say that - I am trying hard to kickstart my metabolism. I've alternated...walking, 30 day shred, biggest loser cardio blast, back to basics jump rope, crunches, pushups like listed in the challenge.

    But 7 days - I am invigorated!!!

Lcorrell - I think you forgot to mention homemade fried okra....mmmm.

Rach - hang in there! Smile!
