I got my Polar F6 HRM!! I am excited - I think this will help motivate me! I did good Monday & Tuesday, then Wednesday was my off day...and Thursday I travelled for work (gone almost 12 hours), so I got out of the routine I had gotten into. Today hasn't been much better, I am sad to say.

I gotta get me one of those things!! They look like such fun!! I hope that you can soon strap that baby on & get back into your "routine"!! Go, Go, Go!!

sanifrey - I've used it twice so far, just taking the dog on a walk - it's awesome! A little itchy, but once you get going, you forget it's there! Also, this is funny - being the big fat girl I am, I adjusted the chest strap as far as it would go, thinking to myself, "I don't know if this is gonna fit..." And turns out, I had to adjust it tighter for it to read my heart rate!

I just got done working out to the 30 day shred. My husband and I were going to do this together and then we got into a fight. So I did it by myself. Level 2 its amazing how more motivated you are when your upset. Im still having a hard time today doing level 2 which is really fusterating for me. :grumble: I only had one seizure today I should be able to do this. :grumble: Tomorrow i will do the BL cardio and see if that helps a little bit. All I can hear in my head is Jillian saying keep it going. Where with Bob he says to do it at your level and that helps a little bit.

That frosty sounds really good right now.

Injuries are very hard to deal with. My left shoulder dislocates randomly so I have to be careful what exercises I do.No pushups, etc. I have to have surgery AGAIN! So, I understand your frustration Borac. To our fearless Leader RACH- take care, we're all here for you. J-g4ever- I use to do Kenpo Karate when my husband and I had a fight. I know what you mean, I use to kick butt! (his in my mind)

when they go through their " main training " in the movies.. with the music in the background- i hope you guys know what i'm talking about.. .. I used to love karate movies when I was small..

Happy Monday morning to the Blue Team!! Just checking in with everyone. I had a busy weekend so I was able to check the threads much. I did Cathe cardio fusion (hard as hell too! but I made it) burning 536 calories on Sat. And completed the 90 ulitmate tae bo yesterday with 510 calories burned. Hopefully this will show up in the numbers tomorrow.

j-gforever - I can understand the husband thing. It must be something in the air. My hubby and I were on the outs this weekend also. I think thats what motivated me to pick my longer workouts this weekend! Oh well. Like the new pic by the way

hotmomov4 I'm so sorry to hear about the shoulder and the surgery  How soon do you need the surgery? I guess when it randomly dislocates it's got to be painful. Hopefully, this surgery will fix it for good! Hang in there and be careful!

    Warning - avoid Moe's

I got a chicken homewrecker that includes sour cream and guacamole - I had lots of calories to use - that sucker has 900 calories - NEVER again. I was still under my calories for the day but piling them all into a meal is so NOT a good idea...just though I'd share.

But on a good note I am down a pound today!!!!

Well this morning I stepped on the scale and im up like 3lbs. Its TOM right now so Im sure that has a lot to do with it but ugh that is not something i wanted to see on the scale. So Im going to drink lots of water today and exercise again tonight and weigh back in tomorrow and see the results.

My husband and I made up lastnight however we weren't able to "make-up" because TOM  But now I have to get mad at him again so I can workout like I did lastnight. THat was a great workout. :drinker:

i don't think you need a laxative.. maybe a diuretic :) to flush the water out.. but neither one of them is necessery you know that is a temporary thing that happens every month - out of our hands :)

Hey guys! Thanks for the well wishes. It really helps to see people saying, hey we're here for you! I'm a little down and out today with a migraine... took the day off work. But I think I'm going to work out a bit later and just work on my 10pg paper for Comp II until then. I'm a couple days behind on my P90x schedule because of all the stuff that went on last weekend, but I'm getting back to it, and my buddies on the X boards are really motivating and pushing me. I love it!

I'm down a little bit as of this morning, and I can't wait to start getting everyone's weights for this week!

Don't get down about P90X- that's a butt kicking workout 6 days a week. Look what happened to me-I dislocated my shoulder during Plyo! And Plyo is mainly with your legs! Mind you, I am 41. I tried 10 minute trainer cardio today with a resistant band, and did legs, abs and butt from Great body Guaruanteed. HOLY. Idon't think I can walk once I get up! Haven't felt this sore in a while. Plyo tomorrow-I doubt it. Is weigh in tomorrow or Wed. am? I'll be up too j-g4ever. Hopefully the following week will be EVEN better! Rach-add me as a buddy on WOWY and we can workout together! We're supposed to drink green tea as a natural diuretic. Did I tell you guys how much I appreciate your support lately? Well I sure do. :drinker:

    Happy Monday Blues. :flowerforyou:

I'm sorry to see some of you are struggling or having a bad day... I hope things get better!! It's so cool to have a team of people to talk to.

I'm going to workout tonight around 7. It'll be my first workout since Thursday. My knee is still feeling "tender," but I'm going to try it. I have an appointment with our nurse next Wednesday to do some blood work, so I may get a referral from her and go to a doctor.

Until then... I'm just going to workout and hope for the best!

I am going to try out my new HRM tonight... I can't wait!! :drinker:

Okay I added you. Tuesday or Wedn morning is fine for weigh-ins. I send out a reminder at noon on Wedn to anyone who hasn't sent their weights in, because I want to get the results out to you guys asap.

Oh and I should say that if I don't get a weigh-in from a member 2 weeks in a row, then I'm going to take you off the results so that your weight isn't hurting our team, but as soon as I get an updated weight I'll put you back on. So just don't forget to send in your weight each week.
  • I feel like I'm coming down with the flu. I'm going to go home and get (more...since I kept dozing off at work) some sleep. See you all tomorrow.

alright everyone i just went out and blew snow for my husband. I went around our house and to the neighbors and on my way back the dang thing broke down. I pushed and pulled. I didn't make it home I had to have a friend help me. Does this count as my workout.?? I don't know if I have the energy to do a workout after that.:grumble:
  • I could only walk for ten minutes today. And probably just that much for the rest of the week, because I have a couple blisters on each foot and it's killing them to walk a lot. But I'm still doing my exercises.

I just worked out with my new HRM (http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=10719755) and it said I burned 600 doing something I normally burn around 400 calories doing according to the machines...... :indifferent: Does that sound right? I'm afraid to eat another Fiber One bar to take care of some of those exercise calories... but, I guess I will? I mean, the HRM seemed pretty accurate as far as my heart rate goes... it went up and down as I did speed intervals. I assume the calories are pretty accurate, too.

If so..... :drinker: :drinker:  :blushing:

If not . . . :grumble:  :frown:

Don't forget the machines don 't know your stats like the HRM does. I ususall w/o for over an hour with myHR in my taget zone and burn that much. i think you're good.
