Yuck, crunches! And I just realized I'm two days behind so even though I just did 50, I still have 100 more to squeeze in!
Always good on the water.
I will take my 3lb weights with me on the treadmill. Probably not running with them but I will definitely walk with them!0 -

I used some 2pound hand weights on the treadmill last night and my back got really tired - and I only used them weights for the last of my workout which was a walk of about .75 miles. Was doing bicep curls while walking. Makes me realize I need to work more on my core and back muscles, and arms..and and...lol!!0

Update: Water good, 6miles done carrying 6 pounds, 150 crunches/sit-ups done. I am so sore today. Feels great!0

Thursday already?!
Hopefully everyone has had a great week and will be posting some AWESOME numbers for tomorrow's weigh in.
Here's the final October mini-challenge:
1. 64 oz water/day
2. 20 burpees/day for 5 days - you pick your rest days!
3. 10 miles (any activity) throughout the week (weighted or non-weighted - up to you)
4. Share an NSV (non-scale victory) you have experience during the month of October
Please share your NSV on this thread and not just on the spreadsheet so that others may see your awesomeness and celebrate with you.
If you do not know how to do a burpee (I didn't - had to look it up) here's a link to a YouTube video demonstration:

Only one more full week of October - let's make it count!! Then tune in NEXT Thursday to see what November holds!! :drinker:0 -
I am 6lbs down, I'm not sure if I'm gonna get to my 10lbs goal...but I'm sure gonna try!!! I love these Challenges!!!0
-
If I commit to doing the burpees, can I get some gym rings for my house? LOL!
OK, my NSV:
My Zumba girls all know that I am very self-conscious about my upper arms (because they "flap" when I do certain moves) and one of my girls told me yesterday that my arms were looking smaller. So, I'll take that compliment!0 -
Going through a rough time. The doctor will be calling me with some results that will change my futur. My goal right now is not to go crazy with worry while I wait and to just maintain my weight. I do want to continue with this challenge, I will be maintaining until I know exactly what is going on with my health. Please send a prayer my way!0

Wow, Burpees. I think I hate this exercise the most. My trainer knows, my co-workers know, my husband knows and now MFPs know. Now, with that said. You are mine burpees! I will conquer you this week! You are now my favorite exercise.0
-
Ew gross. Burpees. Blech. But I will force burpees into submission this week. And then I will never do another one.0
-
I posted my weigh in to the spread sheet for week one and two. I just went to post my weigh in for week three and my row had been deleted. ????0

1. Water is never a challenge with me. I mastered it a long time ago. Still didn’t make my personal goal of being 1400 calories under my total limit.
2. Well I did the 7 miles but it was a combo of with & without weights. I push heavy carts of product up to my department across the back of the store so on average I walk/push a weight cart (200+ lbs) for up to a few miles a day (I can walk 7 miles at work on average).
3. I did the crunches, over 50 a day. I did different varieties because just a basic crunch will kill me and different ones are a better workout for the body.0 -
Didn't do so well this past week, a little bit of drama had to be dealt with. First weight gain since starting these challenges, but not letting it get to me. I did get a couple miles in and 100 crunches (pissed that I didn't follow through with this goal) and got all the water in. I got back to the gym this morning and will be getting back in the groove this next week! You all are keeping me motivated. Keep up the awesome work!!0
-
Did well this week, water was easy for me (love the stuff), and I managed 19.5 m iles total and 500 crunches for the week. Looking forward to the new week with some trepidation as I'm not sure if I can do burpees. Might see if I can find a way to make it a little easier while giving me the benefits.
Onto my NSVs, had a few this month. As of last weigh in, I am now out of the 280s forever and into the 270s I'm excited! Haven't lost as much weight as I wanted to this month, but I'll still be happy with what I've achieved.
Had to find a cunning way to shrink a shirt that I love so that I can wear it still, since it got too big for me. I can go up and down the stairs of our apartment building and not break a sweat or breathe heavy. Those are mine0 -

Sorry to hear this - sending prayers your way!0 -

If you had weights posted in the spreadsheet - then I didn't delete you, but I have a feeling some people aren't very familiar with how spreadsheets work. If you know what your weights were - just re add yourself.0 -
My NSV for this month: The other day when I got out of the shower and went to dry off, my towel went all the way around my body for the first time in my adult life - and it wasn't an over-sized towel! :drinker:0
