Good Morning Blues!
I have planned my day out - hips feeling pretty good today - may work in some exercise this afternoon...
Today was supposed to be my rest day from exercise but being that tomorrow is Sat, and I could use a few more calories today so we'll see
The keeping under my calories is only a problem when I eat out and it's so cold here that I want to stay home. This morning it was -9 with windchill - I am a whimp from NC so I am COLD!!
I even cleaned my oven today (self cleaning) to add some heat to the air! How lame is that?!
Well have a great Friday everyone!!

chrissyh - congrats on being down another pound!! sounds like your plataeu is a thing of the past!! i also think that cleaning your oven is a genius idea!! It's a whopping 3 degrees here! BBRRRR!!
Rach - the only good thing about an early TOM is that it's gone sooner than expected! Hang in there!
aminnisto - congrats to you on getting back into the swing of things!! take it easy & be sure to pace yourself!
mrwatson - exercising while being sick! what dedication!! congrats on being our biggest loser for week 2!

K, first of all....it is -48 C with a north windchill up in Manitoba. It is so cold that skin freezes in under a minute. Global warming my *kitten*!. The plumbing vent for my ensuite bathroom (the door is near MY side of the bed) is frozen over with ice. Needless to say, the smell is aweful. I have the munchies and haven't exercised and am losing motivation...help! I hate weekends...I have even worse control!

Alright blue team lets do this. The black team got us this week but remember that the second week is always worse :grumble: so lets make the other teams mouths drop when they see our weigh in's next week. We can do this. I know there have been talk about challenge so here is my thought. Lets stay in our calorie limits till the next weigh in. Think everyone can do that?? I know you guys can do it.

I needed this dose of motivation. It was hard not losing any weight for the 2nd week. But you're right, that just makes me work harder for next week!0 -
Rach- I love your new picture. Im kinda thinking about changing mine up a alittle bit but wee will just have see for right now. BTW I don't like the TOM I want them to be gone. Ugh. Im also on BC it has helped a little bit but its just a pain. Why don't men have more problems.
msvallon- Im glad I was able to give you some motivation I need that sometimes too.
I have a personal goal of eating more veggies and fruits. I just ate a fruit salad and it was good. Yummo. I hit the spot for sure. I exercised tonight to the BL cardio level 2 and 3 and WOW those are some workouts. I would like to do my ab workout tomorrow night. I burned 750 calories in 25 mins. IM so proud of myself. :flowerforyou: We can do this everyone. Have a wonderful evening. :drinker: and stay warm.0 -
Just had to let everyone know I just got drinking my last bottle of water for the day and that equals 100oz :drinker: cheers to me.0

I realized something at 400am this morning. I always have water beside my bed, and it came to me that everytime I sip and drink through the night, counts as my daily water! Brilliance I say!

Hey guys!! :flowerforyou: Just checking in. Been M.I.A. for a bit. I think I figured out what's wrong with my knee . . . so I'm resting it and looked up some specific stretches for my iliotibial band (I think that's what's hurt.) It definitely feels better. I can't wait to get back into the gym, though!
For now, I'm doing strength exercises. AND, staying within my calorie range, of course!! Thanks for the challenge; that'll help!
I also did something I've NEVER done before. I ate a salad (well . . . 3 times now, hehe) without any dressing!!!! :bigsmile: And, it was good.0 -
K, so last night after having my stress pigout, the guilt was digging at me. So at 1000pm I got down in the basement, went on the treadmill and did P90X leg work and Abs. 100min worth. got to bed at 100am! Still over the cals a bit, but felt great. Thought of the BLC and how I can't let myself down and my team. Great Challenge! Thanks guys!:drinker:0

I just got done working out and burned 716 calories. I did the BL cardio level 2 &3. The only thing I dislike about level two is those dang worm things that they do. I just can't seem to work it all out. :grumble: So I was looking in the mirror this morning and dorling over my own body :laugh: and I noticed that my flab on my stomach has gotten smaller. :drinker: I still can't believe it I had to check a couple of times and sure enough its smaller. :drinker: I saw my pubic hair for the first time since my first baby. :blushing: Im staying within calories limits and working my butt of or should i say my flab :laugh: Tomorrow Im going to take a break from working out 6x/week is good for me. :bigsmile: Hope everyone is doing great.

I use to have hip hop abs and really didn't care for it much. I actually just sold it. I have the BL cardio and the 30 day shred and they are keeping me busy and working me hard. My abs are so sore. So tomorrow is going to be my off day. :flowerforyou:0

Hey everyone! Hope all is well with everyone on the home front! I've been too busy with not enough hours in the day. I've managed to workout everyday though - Jenn time. I've finely dipped below the 130 mark. Yeah for me! With tax season coming workouts will be challenging. My time will become a priority - I deserve it. I want to thank all the blue team members for all the support and upbeat posts! You guys definately keep me motivated. Love you guys!!0

I did my Cardio Kickboxing & tread mill workouts! Feeling pretty good! My arms will be killing me tomorrow from all that "jabbin"!

I love to get down with my bad self :laugh: but I just can't get those moves down. I have been listening to music however and just jamming so those are some more calories off. Also, I tried something new today with the BL cardio workout. I put the TV on mute and put a CD that I found of my DH and jammed while workingout. I loved it so much I might do it again. Some of those songs made me do extra work who would have thunk. I can't believe I enjoy working out. If you would have asked me before July '08 about working out I would have laughed at you now its like bring it on. :drinker:0 -
Ok Im not done talking yet I know i see you faces. :grumble: LOL I found an ab exercise that makes you sore but knows it works. So lay on the floor (Im pretty good at that :laugh: ) and have someone I have my DH stand right above your shoulders (mainly because I like looking at his croch) and hold on to their legs. Now kick your legs up and have them push them down. I did this for about 30 seconds and WOW i feel the burn. I tried doing it again tonight and just did a few because i was still sore from a couple nights ago. I have other ways i can look at my husbands croch. :laugh: have a good night everyone. :yawn:0

I need motivation blue team! I have been so busy with school and work that I haven't had time to eat right or work out. I am taking 6 classes, 5 days a week, I have a little over an hour drive to school. I work 25 hours a week and a wedding to plan.
Tell me what to do so I don't gain the weight back!! Advice please.0 -
A couple things - may not get heart rate going but will help with staying toned. While sitting (if know one gives you funny looks) just lift your legs one at a time hold your muscles as tight as you can for 30 seconds each. While standing (again if nobody notices) raise up onto the balls of you feet and then back down, I feel it in my calves after doing this about 30 times. While sitting in your car, tighten you lower abdomen and release (don't get in a car accident - that would take some explaining), continue this as long as you can or as long as your car ride.I need motivation blue team! PLAN, PLAN & PLAN!! You sure do sound busy!! But, you have been so successful up to this point!! Don't let it slip away!! I recommend that you plan for your day! Make sure to pack healthy lunches & snacks for yourself! I recently started carrying snack sized servings of almonds, pretzles & dried fruit in my purse for those times where I get "stuck" somewhere! Just a little bit of control may help you with the other aspects of your goals. I know that when I'm eating better I work out & when I work out, I eat better. It all seems to work together somehow!

guntherma & sanifrey made some good suggestions for you - try to fit in exercise where you can, & plan plan ahead! Plan your meals a day ahead, so you already know what you will be eating & are not tempted to get something on the run. Fit in small bits of exercise where you can. Maybe park a little further away from where your class is and walk extra. I wish I would have thought of this while I was still in school - can you sign up for a P.E. class? You could take it pass/fail or audit it, so you don't get a grade, but then you have time already set aside each week to work out!

Alright guys, I'm gonna be up at 5:15am tomorrow to do my workout and start my day. Hope you all are still working hard. I had a cruddy diet all weekend but I'm back at it.

I have been within my calories since I made the challege and today I took a day off of exercise even though I feel a little bad about it I know that my body needs it. :bigsmile:0

Well, for the last two days I have done very well with staying within my calories and even exercising, until tonight. I baked a banana chocolate chip nut bread for my kids today and I resisted all day so that I would stay within my calories but tonight after everyone is in bed - there it was - I couldn't take it - now I am over by 93 calories and too tired to do anymore workout. So I am going to clean up the dishes, put away the folded clothes, then go to bed. I will try again tomorrow. Have a good night.0
