Ok, its that time guys! 6 Week 6 Pack by Jillian Michaels challenge is on! here's the deal, we will be taking measurements and weight and post them weekly. You don't have to post your starting weight or measurements week 1, but starting week 2, just let us know if you lost any inches or lbs. :)) I recommend we post daily to see where everyone stands with the "days and level" and post our feelings and thoughts about the workout routine. Anyone can join, just keep us updated on your progress and try to stick with it :)) Also let us know what other exercise activity you did with it on that day if any. So let the workout begin..... :)))

Level 1 started today for me

Did week 4 of Ripped In 30. Have 3 more days of Ripped In 30 to do along with 6W6P and then it will 6W6P only from there.

I'll provide more info once done with Ripped, but for now:

    Waist: 36.25 Inches

If it is okay...I may jump in here. Did my first day on Monday...didn't do squat yesterday.
Will try to get back on the ab train tonight! Did anyone have problems with that awful side plank? I mean I was feeling it in my knees....and I have bad knees. Knew I had to be doing it wrong! Usually I am all over JM planks! :-)

The side planks hurt my arms! Especially on the left side. I must be weaker on that side!

Did day 3 today. I'm a little concerned though. I've done 30 Day Shred, then moved straight to Ripped In 30 Days (my last day was today) and now that I've moved on to this it seems like it's not as intense as the other two. Since tomorrow will be my first day of doing 6W6P without doing other exercise before it, i should get a better feel of it's intensity.

Ha ha,the side planks get me in the arms too! My arms are weak though despite how hard I've been trying, for, like, ever!! How funny they hurt different people in different places! To cheer you all up though, I couldn't even make it through all of one side on the first circuit initially, but I can do them all on both circuits now, I'm on day 3, week 3.

I was doing it daily, but have swopped to mostly every other day after reading about resting your muscles. I've got to be honest, I am really, really bored of doing the same thing all the time now, and am so ready for swopping to level 2 on Sun. Do you think it would be bad to remeasure half way through?? I am not trying to lose weight any more but am desperate for a more toned mid-section and I thought if I have shifted something, anything, it would really help me keep going for the next 3 weeks - but I'm scare there will be no change at all and I'll give up completely!!

I have just completed week3, day 3 as I said - I did 25 mins of circuit training I made up after it, I did star jumps, heel digs, boxing and butt kicks, mixed in with marching on the spot every now and then to bring my heart rate down from 'you're going to die'

Okay everyone...completed D2 of the first level! Wow...side planks still get me! ha ha...but I did better this time. Wasn't pretty....but I did better. ;-)....(Grace is NOT my middle name!) Thing that I love about this...and I am sure for those of you keeping up with it on th HRM ....you're burning more fat%.....which I LOVE!! On Jillian Michaels Ripped in 30....I am hitting a higher intensity zone, but not staying in fat burning zone. Anyway...I think I will kind of move back and forth between the two because I tend to get bored too doing the same thing over and over. By the end of the week....I will be reciting her word for word! ;-).....

Let's keep it up y'all!! Here's to awesome abs by December! :-)

somehow I missed your post earlier but wanted to say 6w6p def got a higher effort/ burn from me than the shred BUT you do have to put your all into ir (espec keping your core taut) and since using my HRM I crank through the first circuit mostly double time like the second as I discovered otherwise I mainly was below proper fat burning zone...

It's easier in some ways and more advanced in others. This is mainly a core workout and I can definitely feel it working. My mid-section and back are getting stronger. I don't think I will have a 6 pack in 6 weeks, but I really do believe I will have a flatter stomach! If you want to add more exercises with it to make it advanced, you should go ahead with it. I am adding treadmill every other day along with weights at the gym. ;))

I had thought about adding more exercise, but I have limited time to workout and it seems like the more I work out, the more I want to eat! My weight really hasn't moved in the last couple weeks, but it seems that I still continue to lose some inches (or fractions thereof), which is fine I guess.

Tonight will be 6W6P solo, so I'll strap on the heart monitor to see where I'm at.

nice- I should try! I added the weight in the second round when she does the diagonal crunches. I should do it on both rounds and on both of both exercises for an added burn! I can sure feel my abs burning every time I do the DVD.
How many days a week are you going to do the 6wk 6pk? I was thinking to aim for 5days like she recommends in the beginning but I'm afraid my body will get used to the routine. Hmmm...

I plan on doing it 4-5 days a week, just depending on whats going on that week. I hope to do it once more this weekend but we have a lot of plans so not for sure if I can work it in yet.

Sorry to jump in but I did 6W6P tonight for the 1st time and had the same problem! I decided to skip the side planks alltogether and did walking push-ups instead!

    welcome new people! :flowerforyou:

Did my 6 pack this morning I do now know the routine move by move! I followed susanjackson's idea of adding a weight to the long levers and get ups, and I was surprised how much my heart rate went up actually! It is 3 weeks tomorrow since I started, so I'm unsure whether to measure, and also whether to move onto level 2 or do this level once more on Mon (I'm doing it every other day)
