I saw a slutty Nemo last year. I gave up after that. Refused to even go out this weekend.
I don't even want to know.
This disturbs me slightly....How the hell do you make Nemo slu....nevermind forget it!!0 -
strangely this is one of the reasons i like halloween i mean..as long as they aren't out trick or treating with little kids i find nothing wrong with it. there's plenty of adult parties where this is the norm, i've seen it all through college, and the only reason i've never been as racy is because i'm extremely conservative about my body,
Okay, maybe that's part of my problem with it-- I never went away to college so I didn't see a lot of it.
Sadly, it's teenage girls dressing up like that, too-- I hand out candy every year at my Grandma's, and last year we had several underage girls in very skimpy outfits. One teenage group was dressed as pimps & hoes, took it pretty far though.... *shudder*0 -
I'm gonna go as a nudist this year...how about that?0

its the 1 day a year.... come on now.0

you get two thumbs up from me0 -
Ok dunno if anyone has seen Jenna Marbles on YouTube but vlog last week was about this and she makes a good point....
Usually the women who hate on the ones dressed like that are probably a little envious that they don't have the body and/or confidence to dress like that themselves. MOST these women don't dress like that normally and Halloween is the ONE day of the year that its acceptable.
For those women that can dress like that and look good doing it: PROPS TO YOU!!! :drinker:
I didn't dress up or go out b/c I was sick, but I won't hate on those who can pull off the sexy costumes0 -

i was thinking Lady Godiva.0 -

I ended up sick so I stayed in anyways0 -

It's not a matter of being able to pull anything off, it's matter of classy versus trashy. I love Jenna Marbles! She's freaking hilarious, if a little annoying. But hers is just another opinion, just like all of ours. I already said to each their own-- but the jealousy thing sounds like something these girls Moms would tell them.
"You go ahead and be a slutty Nun, baby, you're beautiful and those girls just wish they could look as skanky as you."
Yeah... No.0 -
I don't really care about the sexualized costumes, provided they are reserved for the right time and place. That's sort of what Halloween is about for adults.
But last year, these kids showed up at my door with who I presume was one of their mothers. She was wearing a slutty Dorothy from Wizard of Oz costume. Her skirt was barely long enough to cover her rear end, and she had on thigh-high white stockings with blue garters around the top. At an adult party, I wouldn't think anything of that. But to take kids trick-or-treating? Come on.0 -
I have a problem with women using Halloween as an excuse to dress like hussies and I'm not afraid to express it.
I use any day ending in a Y as my excuse0 -
I feel like I am the only person who doesn't participate in Halloween. Oh well. I don't dress slutty on a normal day, so if I did participate I doubt I would be slutty then too. I think the last costume I wore was a giant bumble bee.....fat and round so there was no sexy in that.0

Did that last year. This year I found a ridiculous costume for 5 bucks so I'm gonna try and find the resolve to dress up. :P0 -
It's no skin off my back if these women want to run around looking like they are shopping in the toddler section. Clearly, its not hurting me. It is setting an awful example for young girls, however, and just like they have the freedom to wear whatever they want, I have the freedom to not like it. In my opinion, its inappropriate.
How would you feel if your child dressed like that as a teenager?

Disagree? Fine. That's no skin off my back, either. It happens
Precisely. I don't get it either. I love the *little* outfits, but I'll keep working on myself until I can comfortably fit into them and keep them in the bedroom. Even when I do get a man, I don't want to dress like that in public and give anyone the idea that that represents who I am. It has a lot to do with self-respect. You wouldn't run around town with your hood, trunk and doors to your car open, why would you dress in similar fashion?0 -
I dressed up as a french maid Sat night for a bar party(slutty nun costume was to big this year:laugh: )
I then ended up at a strip club and people kept thinking I was one of the waitress, someone even tried to tip me it was GREAT!0 -

For anyone concerned about what other ladies are wearing and wish they would cover up more there is hope. There's a whole region you can move to where the women are very concerned about dressing appropriately and not showing too much skin. It's called the Middle East. You can go there and you won't have to deal with all these women who feel free to express themselves as they choose to.
OR you can stay in a free country and realize that other people have a right to dress however they'd like.0 -

Clearly, they have every right. Pretty sure I already said that. But thanks for reiterating.0 -

OMG, exactly!!
My niece dressed up for dorothy this year and her brother was asking about the character so i googled it for him and all i found was a bunch of slutty dorothy pictures, I was just baffled that people would feel the need to dress up as dorothy but make it slutty...0 -

I'm all for sexy! Sexy never goes out of style.
I'm against trampy.
One person's trampy is another person's sexy. Perhaps some feel it is a sign of feminism and women's rights, to be able to dress as they wish. You have been claiming to each her own, while at the same time stating that the way people are dressing is wrong, that ladies are losing the wrong inches, and pronouncing trampiness on others. It's just personal expression, and while it may not be how you wish to express yourself, it doesn't mean it's wrong in others.

That's just how I choose to express myself. With my words, not my breasts.0
