    Why private?
    It's private because the nature of our board is very personal and private.For example, some people have family on MFP and don't want them to know they're TTC. Some people find IVF a touchy subject. In a private board people can speak openly without the masses reading it.

    This thread is public....

    Why not put recruitment threads in the other TTC boards that aren't private (if you haven't already)? That way people can pm you to request invites.

    If members of the private group see someone they want to invite then they can. We frequent other boards and often refer people to this one, so instead we can offer a private invitation.

    Yes this thread is public, but the opportunity to have it private is too good to pass up. It will offer our members some privacy when dealing with such a sensitive topic as trying to conceive. While I understand that privacy may not be important to everyone given their individual circumstance, for some this serves as a secure outlet.

    Strange fact about yourself: I have just recently (4 months) started having regular periods. In my entire life I have never had a period closer together than 11months.

    I was always told I could never concieve because of my PCOS and my weight. I have done a ton of research and I am hoping if I lose the weight it will kick start my body into ovulating regularly.


    Hey there--I was told the same thing when diagnosed with PCOS so current bf and I when we first started seeing each other didnt use bc (i cant use hbc because of history of strokes) since we were monogamous anways long story short after 6 mos or so of no bc--I got pregnant (couldn't go through with pregnancey for difficult reasons) and I had the same problems with irregular cycles as well--keep trying it will happen! I had a friend who was told the same thing--she nevered used bc and after losing about 50lbs or so she ended up getting pregnant as well. It will happen have faith!
