Superman weighs 215 pounds and has roughly the same shoulder and frame that I have. According to research on the internet. I weigh 300 pounds and I have more fat then Superman. I also looked up body fat % and by the numbers I found on the internet and my own numbers I have proven that fat is 1.283% heavier then muscle. Now we can quit having this conversation! Superman and I have spoken!

That is proven false because at body fat and frame/measurements superman has their is no way he could only weight 215 pounds then. It's muscles would just be strands with giant air pockets.

    I don't believe a word Superman says. CrossedArms.gif

If it had been said by Spiderman then I would believe it.

Absolutely correct. A pound is a pound, is a pound. The POUND doesn't change according to the type of matter. Muscle simply takes up less space in the body. Not to mention, muscle does NOT transform into fat, or vise versa. They are two separate things. They do not change into anything else. Fat can shrink, muscles can grow.

That's a pet peevy subject of mine. ROFL!

Disregarding the fact that you are talking about Superman, this still does not make any sense.

A pound of fat and a pound of muscle both wiegh.....a pound. The pound of muscle however, takes up less room than the pound of fat....it also looks and feels better.

And you forgot to measure in the gravitational differences that superman experiences from being born of another planet with heavier gravity.......

I will have to hunt down batman's numbers and see how he compares to superman.

Superman is an alien, not a human, so this argument is null and void.

Does Kryptonite weighs more than fat, then?

its because you have more fat then muscle but if you had as much muscle as you do fat then you would weigh more... people... superman has less fat then you do

This isn't still being debated, is it? I mean... now, espeicially since you and Superman have spoken.....

But really, I think that those of us who have been on MFP for any length of time have seen it all in these forums... Sometimes for the heck of it, I'll jump on a thread that I have seen OVERDONE and see what the folks are saying.... and sometimes, I really like to just throw something in there to stir the pot.... shhhhhhhhhhhhh.. don't tell.

I think your science is off although I love the comparison. I still stand by my reasoning that they weigh the same. A pound of muscle does not weigh more than a pound of fat. A pound is a pound. LOL
