    This isn't still being debated, is it? I mean... now, espeicially since you and Superman have spoken.....

    But really, I think that those of us who have been on MFP for any length of time have seen it all in these forums... :wink: Sometimes for the heck of it, I'll jump on a thread that I have seen OVERDONE and see what the folks are saying.... and sometimes, I really like to just throw something in there to stir the pot.... shhhhhhhhhhhhh.. don't tell.:devil:

    This debate seriously annoys the *kitten* out of me... because EVERYONE IS RIGHT and EVERYONE IS SAYING THE SAME THING! Just in different ways.

    When comparing equal weights... Muscle is denser (appears smaller) than Fat.
    and
    When comparing equal volumes (such as a cup or cubic inch) Muscle weighs more than Fat.

    Not only are both statements TRUE... they PROVE each other.
    One statement would not be true if the other were false.

    It is like arguing "The glass is half full!" / "No! The glass is half empty!" You are both f*ing correct!!!!

    If you can show me someone who says a pound of fat weighs less than a pound of muscle, then I would be very surprised. All you are arguing is how to express the concept that a given volume of fat weighs less than the same volume of muscle. And you sound very, very stupid when you try to compare pound vs. pound.

    IMPOSSIBLE.. Superman would weigh over 375 pounds. Either that or his bones and organs would have to weigh almost 180 pounds by themselves leaving him only 35 pounds for fat and muscle! MATH DOES NOT LIE!

    Superman weighs 215 pounds and has roughly the same shoulder and frame that I have. According to research on the internet. I weigh 300 pounds and I have more fat then Superman. I also looked up body fat % and by the numbers I found on the internet and my own numbers I have proven that fat is 1.283% heavier then muscle. Now we can quit having this conversation! Superman and I have spoken!

    SLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!

    1) Muscle is more dense and can fit more in a certain space than fat. 200 pounds of fat weighs exactly as 200 pounds of muscle. 200 pounds of anything weighs wait for it...200 POUNDS!!!!
