There is literally nothing to not love about my dog. I love every fiber of his being. I have a boston terrier with cerebellar hypoplasia. Basically he has a neurological disorder which causes an extreme lack of balance, circling, and intention tremors. He falls down all the time and runs into things and has a bobble head. But he's just so damn adorable and lovable.

My lab/lurcher/whippet Odie . . .hes changed my life! I owe a lot of my weight loss to him! We were both attacked by another dog 3 months ago and we are slowly getting over it together!

A dog is the only creature that will love you more than it love's it's self.

And I believe that My Gabriel is no exception. It's almost like even when I'm at my worst and lowest he tries to make me smile. He's traveled the country with me for nearly a year now and is always excited for the next adventure! Being on the road all the time makes it so hard to have friends. But He does all he can to make up for that I'm sure. I couldn't have asked for a better dog.

    Here are my boys:

Champ, Black Lab x Golden retriever. He is about 3 years old and is so smart, sweet but also a very good guard dog.

And this is Ollie (Oliver). Chocolate Lab X Australian Shepherd. He is almost 3 and is the bigger of the 2 but he thinks he is a lap dog. He is a big baby, but he is also a VERY good guard dog.

I love these two sooo much! They are definately spoiled brats but have such different personalities, Winnie is the typical little girl princess while Stanley is a rough and tumble little boy, an example of this would be when I was walking with them on the trail, we can across a mud puddle, Winnie sat down and refused to go any further while Stanley started running around though it

I don't have a dog, but opened this thread because I LOVE dogs and would love to have one in the next few years.

My question for you all, and I hope this isn't TMI and that I can get an honest answer here.. If you have a dog and live with your significant other, how does it effect your love life? I mean that generally and ALSO in the bedroom.. do you still get ALONE time as much as you need it?

I hope the pictures post. I've never posted them here before.

I love my youngest golden, Danny, because he embraces life totally and completely. I say he has a Peter Pan complex and never wants to grow up. He adores every single foster puppy I bring into the house and delights in playing with them.

Jasper is my Eeyore. He is so serious all the time. But he is totally and completely devoted to me and I simply adore him. He had a really hard start in his life and I know he loves his life now.

    IMG_4781.jpg

He and Danny really like each other, they love to play together and tend to be partners in crime.

Jasmine is my queen bee and the boys love that about her. They don't have to think because she tells them what to do. She is very protective of them and of me. She'll be 11 in January, but she's a little energizer bunny and just keeps going and going and going.

This is Gabs the Mutt. She's doing her "*kitten*, that's a camera. NO LOOKY AT YOU" thing.

We got her from a foster agency which collects dogs from rural kill shelters and rehomes them. She's very emo; I would not be surprised to find her with black-dyed fur and heavy eyeliner one morning. She is also amazingly useless at lots of doggy-type things like spotting food on the floor -- she's horrible at that. Scared of bugs more-so than I am, which is quite a feat. She excels at a few things like: alerting me to UPS drivers who happen to be delivering packages 3 blocks down or keeping the yard clean of that dastardly rabbit/squirrel poo. Her breath, I believe, would make the malodorous taint of Satan smell like the dew on newly blossomed flowers on a cool Spring morn.

Love her to bits, stank and all. (Well, not so much the stank.)

my 55 pound golden retriever mix thinks she's a 5 pound lap dog.

So it's not just my dog! My baby boy is 65 pounds but thinks he is tiny enough to sit on laps too!

Nope not just yours! My Baby girl is 85-90lbs and thinks she's a lap dog. And that it's ok to sit on mommy so she can't go somewhere without her. She is 1/2 german sheppard and 1/2 lab.

She is so funny and caring and always wants to be with us no matter what, she doesn;t run off either which is amazing. My boyfriend and I always say she is the perfect dog and we wish we could clone her! Her brindle coat is so funny uo look at as well.

The unconditional love we receive from our dogs is directly related to the idea that "dog" is "God" spelled backwards.
