Black socks with workout clothes?

If I'm wearing black sneakers, I prefer to wear black socks. White sneakers, white socks. But for the most part, I wear whatever I grab first.0

I workout at home and have worn black socks with my white sneakers (laundry day and nothing else was clean). Hey, as long as I get my workout finished! [laugh]0 -

I'm so glad you posted this topic because I was so going to post this myself (plus I'm home, in bed, sick, and bored out of my mind, lol). There are several guys at my gym, young, very fit, in good shape, lifters, etc. and they ALWAYS wear high black socks with their shorts. Not knee high, but definitely mid calf. And all I could wonder was, why? I thought maybe it was some gym/workout fashion thing? I don't know, I just don't get it. For me, if your wearing shorts then generally they should be low socks, usually white, or black if they're the really low, ankle kind.0

Occasionally I wear compression socks which are knee height and are black. I wear them with whatever shoes I have. One pair which are my lifting shoes are black so I guess it passes. I have a pair of running shoes which are gray/black/neon green. Also I wear them when playing basketball which is with black/white high top adidas. I think I meet the fashion requirements. I'd love to wear some flip flops and brown socks just for kicks on the recumbent bike.0

Yeah, I'm talking old man tall socks!Are talking about the high top black socks one would wear with jeans?? Then hell no!! However I wear short black socks made by Under Armour and those are fine. And for the record, tall socks are NEVER a good idea unless wearing jeans or pant, no matter the color. Unless we are going for the nerd look.

Socks should usually match the color of your pants or shorts.
I don't like long black socks no matter what,, but the the very low black socks look really good.0
