Just got home from a great hike of 8.1 miles. Somehow they all seemed uphill! It was marked as difficult and we did it if 4 hours and 45 minutes. Burn 2574 calories!
This is amazing, wtg ! Any idea what the altitude gain was?0 -

We went from 730m to 1285m. However, it was rolling hills which meant lots of up and down and then up again. Do you know how to count that? Just the difference between lowest and highest or the sum of all uphill? It was great and I am happy that I am not really sore!0 -
Your altitude gain for the hike is the sum of all uphill. You can plot your track manually or download the GPS .gpx file to Garmin Connect, or Wikiloc, or Strava, or Running Free, Google Earth or whatever other tool you're using and it will make a summary.0

Just tracked the hike on mapmyrun and it said 504m gain. We are still a little skeptical as we didn't really see all elevation changes and wonder if it doesn't necessarily have the full accuracy in this rather isolated area. Anyway, still proud!0
