Happy with the scale today. My average for the week is 167.4, down 1.2 from last week and right on track. The loose pants are starting to annoy me, but I hate shopping for clothes .6

I have my very first "night" race (5K) tonight at 8:30 p.m. I actually have never ran in the evening hours so this will be interesting and we will all be "glowing in the dark" on the run!!5

@bbordner I am looking forward to that 'problem!' Really well done!
@MJFSH sounds like a great workout! I'm finding it difficult to persuade my husband we don't need pizza! I can always send supplies!
@narak_lol I am in awe of your cycling!! I cycled for just under 2 hours and literally couldn't walk the next day. It's early days for me though but I'll get back to where I want to be.
@RoxieDawn a night run sounds great. Hope it goes well.
Well I was a bit sore yesterday from the KB workout so avoided doing too much. I just tried to be as active as I could and walked or cycled everywhere - mainly to try to build up some calories for gin in the evening!
Today I continued with my little running plan to run for 30 mins without stopping- I know it's not much compared to some of you but I'm managing to cover two and a half miles in 30 minutes jogging with a bit of walking. I will get there just got to keep working at it and be patient. Ive also cycled to the park and back to meet my husband and the dog.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend.6 -

Yay for a little bit of cardio....I did some this morning, even though my legs/butt/hips are ON FIRE from Thursday's lifting. Yes, I am really stiff, but this too shall pass.
I start my 10-week "calorie-cutting" challenge tomorrow/Monday...I am aiming for 1.5 lbs per week. Not easy, but that is a DUMB reason to NOT do something!! (i.e. the "this is hard, I quit!" mantra has NEVER BEEN MY OWN...)6 -
13km done - like running in a sauna today so sloooooow. Ugh!3
-
Good to finally get back into training after a week of recovery. Easy paced 1.5mile lake swim Friday night, early morning mile swim plus 10 mile easy paced run done this morning. Now its pool party time!3

@livingfree04 - "Denial" is not a river in Egypt.
Admitting there's a problem is the first step in finding a cure, lol!
Speaking as a truly old fart (you are still very young) trust me when I say you can take great comfort in knowing that there's no more empowering feeling than giving the "20 somethings" a run for their money! It REALLY freaks them out when they find out they've just been "Seniored" by some dude who banged out a warm up set at their 1Rep max wieght, or who cranked out more pushups, or who did a warm up run at their 5k race pace, etc. This stuff drives them nuts!
So the bottom line is this: Its really ALL upside for us Cool Kids.

People say you are as young as you think you are2 -
@Beeps2011 yes it was gone 25,000 steps! Darn swype keyboard! Glad you had fun on vacation! I am going to start working with my kettlebell instructor in the next couple of weeks. She is a personal trainer/dietician, so I'm going to get rid of the puffy middle I just can't get rid of over the last 2-3 years. I need help tweaking my diet to lose the weight( 5-8lbs) in a sustainable fashion and tone up because she is not a friend!
I did kickboxing the day after I came back and we did all legs, including pistols. Holy cow my legs and butt hurt for days! I did get to kickboxing 5 times in the last week(one was a half class) and kettlebell twice as well as self defence. Needless to say it's been a sore week but I feel better now!5 -
Just a casual leisurely 90 mins ride today. Thought of going to the gym afterwards but couldn't get myself to4
