Only down .4 lbs this week, but the bright side is that from the last time I measured (July 29th) I've lost another percentage point of body fat (now 22%).

OH YEAH!!! The sled, aka, "The Prowler". Load it up with 45lb plates and push it till you get "The Prowler Flu".(dizziness, nausea, overall body weakness and trembling) This is a GREAT piece of gear for building total body strength and one of the world's best torture devices. My trainer would have me push this across the gym floor while the other 4-5 students were holding the plank position. Just as I approached the end line, he'd jump on the sled to add extra weight.....the *kitten*! The other special form of hell he devised was to tie two of the heavy ropes to it and have students hold a plank position while lifting one hand at a time to pull it hand over hand across the gym floor.

It is such an awesome tool that I still get kind of emotional thinking about all the good times I've had over the years using it. ;)

@pdxhak: So is it safe to assume that you've experienced some flu like symptoms during the workout?

    Very impressive!
I'm not a runner, can't even imagine pushing this scary looking device while running, kudos to you! :)

    This morning 30min treadmill
    Lunch-Body pump class

@agbmom556 Does your treadmill tell you how many calories you burned in those 30 minutes? Mine showed 209 calories today but MFP thinks it should be 342. I record the figure from the machine (varies based on the speed and incline during the automated Jillian Michaels workout).

It's fine about all the workout posts but this thread used to have a more social side which I miss.

Interesting. I actually came over here because it was much less social than another thread, and more about working out. But I've only been lurking here for a couple months. Since I often don't have super stellar workouts to share right now, I don't post much, but do enjoy reading and 'liking/awesoming' other people's workouts.

I guess we all have different perspectives on things. Personally, I think there's too much "social" in some of the threads here on what is essentially a health and fitness site.

Very hot and humid here this weekend. Did the long bike ride very early today. Long swim/Long run on the schedule for tomorrow, then Monday begins the taper to race day next Sunday.

    Stay cool, Cool Kids.
