OK guys, SELF CHALLENGE TIME....

One metric century is 100km, but since I am in the States, we don't measure metrically (often.)

One century = 100miles. How many centuries will you challenge yourself to this month.?

I am shooting for 100 miles again. I fell short the last 2 months, but I am determined to do better. HOW ABOUT YOU?

Come back here and let us know your progress. Share any interesting stories that happen to you while cycling. At the end of the month, PM me and I will tally the totals and let you know how we did as a group.

I failed last month. Just far too much going on. And I sit here and look at my brand new bike sitting there in my family room practically unused... and it makes me so sad.

100 miles for me in February.

The days are getting longer and if I have to go out every single day after work for 20 minutes or so to rack up those miles I will.

My ride plan says 350km as a target this month, uncomfortably just over 2 centurys yet nowhere near 3 - can I have 2.5

Does stationary bike count? I will work towards one century in February. I am really wimpy when it comes to cold.....am trying for the first time today since it is only 40 outside, with a high of 60 later, and the wind is not too terrible. Kansas is fickle. Wish me luck someone, because I am not sure I can do this!

I want to beat January's 180.01 miles so put me down for a double century, Tiggerrick!

Yes, a bike is a bike is a bike. Does it have pedals? It counts! :o)
  • Do indoor trainer miles count? Too cold for me to ride outdoors where I am.

175 of my 180 in January were on the bike trainer in the garage. Seriously.

Just the motivation I need. My bike is hooked up to my new indoor trainer and I have a goal of at least 700 mile for the year, so put me down for 100 miles for February. With any luck I will surpass my 700 mile goal and hit at least 1000 miles in 2012.
  • I am in! Put me down for 400 :D I just have a stationary bike, so am a bit envious of you guys with real bikes ;)

Ahhh you really can. Jut get out there and do it. I am 55 and I have ridden many times in Minnesota and the surrounding area as low as 27 with some good winds. So get out there and just Do It. Good luck
  • I'm in!
One and half centuries (150) I made my goal of 100 for January.
