MARCH Ironman Challenge (Open Group)

Options
Welcome new and returning triathletes!

The challenge is to complete Ironman Triathlon mileage in the 31 days of March
--Running/ Walking 26.2 miles
--Biking 112 miles
--Swimming 2.4 Miles

We'll use this forum all month to log and report our mileage. You can log daily or weekly-- whatever keeps you motivated!

You may modify your mileage goals to suit your specific circumstances (e.g., no bike, no pool access, etc.) but you must SET and declare those goals at the beginning of the month, and it must still be a combination of running/walking, biking, and swimming.

    Goals for March:
    Swimming: 6.0 miles
    Biking: 50 miles
    Running/walking: 26.2 miles

Upped the swim goal since I met it last month, LOWERED the bike goal, I wasn't even CLOSE last time, and I'm really aiming for the full 26.2 of running/walking this time.

    Good luck everyone!!!!!

After taking last month off I'm ready to do this again. My Mt Bike gets out of the shop tomorrow after a complete overhaul. Everything will be new except the frame & wheels. I'll be hankering to put some miles on it. Only problem will be time. I am signed up for a half marathon at the end of April so I really need to focus on running. Taking all of that into considration I have the following goals for March.

    Run 80 miles
    Bike 100 miles
    Swim 2.4 miles (4224 yards)

This is a an agressive plan and my only concern is time and general life. Like today. I tried getting in the pool over lunch, but all the lanes were taken and people were waiting and I didn't have time to wait. Stuff like that. But goals should have to be reached. I would respect them very much if they weren't.
