I aim to exceed last month's distances which were about 15 miles swimming, 200 miles cycling, and 30 miles walk/run.

    Late start due to travel!

3/5 1.14 mile swim and 3.26 mile run

Carlton dear, come swimming with me!

We keep having the righ outdoor temps for cycling but the winds are ridiculous. I so don't want to get back on the trainer!

Couldnt do anything for the past few days...had a slight family emergency to tend to. My sister was out for her morning jog when we got a phone call that she was attacked by 2 loose pitbulls. She needed stitches and we're figuring out law suits and all that. Pretty scary moment, especially now that I want to get running on the roads instead of always at the track. I guess jogging with a stick is a new must.

    Goals for March:
    Swimming: 6.0 miles
    Biking: 50 miles
    Running/walking: 26.2 miles

    3/6: ran 2.3 miles

    Swim: 1.0
    Bike: 0
    Run/walk: 2.3

@alliesun53 - Sorry your sister was attacked like that. My brother and sister-in-law used to live in a rural part of Bedford, NH. They had to run with a weapon and/or a stick because of the wild animals, especially the fisher cats.

@nerdieprofess - I'm trying to get some swimming back into my routine this month. I think I'll make my goal this time around. I need to get my swim technique straightened out. I need some remedial training.

I would love to complete 2 ironmans for the month. That means:

    swim: 4.8
    walk/run: 52.4
    Bike: 224

    March 1 - 7: Swim - 025, walk - 19.5, bike - 0 (no bike until March 9)

    Run 7.5/80 miles
    Bike 9/100 miles
    Swim 750/4224 yards

WooHoo got some pool time at lunch. Trail running after work unless it's lightning out, anything else is fair game.

I had a pit bull come after last summer while I was riding on a rural road. Luckily I was able out ride it.

Thanks...it was just a cary moment and realization that even sometimes when trying to do good things for yourself could end up badly. :/ Not going to let tit hold me down though...just have to find a "safe" place to run outside. Even trail running seems dangerous now...

    Goals for March:
    Swimming: 6.0 miles
    Biking: 50 miles
    Running/walking: 26.2 miles

3/7: bikes 6.9 miles. (Stationary bike counts right??)
    Totals:
    Swim: 1.0
    Bike: 6.9
    Run/walk: 2.3

Adding a 3.7 mile trail run in which I took a different trail, got lost, ended up having to cross a crrek to get back to where I "knew" I was. Then 1000 yrds in the pool.

Thanks...it was just a cary moment and realization that even sometimes when trying to do good things for yourself could end up badly. :/ Not going to let tit hold me down though...just have to find a "safe" place to run outside. Even trail running seems dangerous now...

I've had 2 or 3 ER visits in the last two years from being active. I'll take it over being diabetic, or having heart disease. These things degrade your quality of life. ER visits and subsequent healing are inconvienent and result in good stories. Or at least that's what I'm telling myself.

@alliesun- that is dreadful that your sister was attacked. i live in a rural/suburban area in 55 mph legal limit zone. It is amazing the number of people that do not control their animals at all. So far i have yet to encounter any really mean ones, but i kind of expect it sooner or later. I will think about carrying something after your story. Adding *wow* the number of nice dogs whose lives have been in danger chasing me. One time it was a dozen English bulldogs.....and several cars whizzing by......i'm shocked one wasn't hit.
