4 miles with the dog on this very warm, very windy day. I had to coax the dog nearly the entire last mile, until he found some standing water at the side of the road. First he drank some. Then he dipped his whole snout in it. Then he walked in it. Then he *rolled* in it. After that, he perked right up and had no problem finishing. (He's not very happy that he's having to stay outside for awhile right now, though--even if it is a nice, shady spot with some fresh cold water.)

  • First I was going to take today off but I decided on a short walk 2.5 miles.

Great job everyone. This challenge is very motivating, watching people's numbers move closer to their goal.

Today was the first day I have EVER attempted to jog in my life!
I've always wanted to be a runner but was scared to even try and I keep telling myself I need to lose more before I even start!

Well..... I said.. forget that, I'm going to try and I DID IT!!! It's only 5 min walk, 30 sec jog, but I DID IT - for an hour!!! Yahooo!! And I FEEL AMAZING!!!

    3-14= 2.0 mile walk
    3-15= 2.0 mile walk 7.52 bike
3-16 15.35 miles bike 1 mile walk to the school bus
    3-17= 9 miles bike
3-18= 3 miles (first “walk/run” day of the “8 week Beginning Runners Training”

    Total: 159.92

I do these and love it, I can log 5 miles through out the day. just remember, exercise is accumulative throughout the day. Do not think you have to do it all at once.

Went to gym to take a cycling class, but it was full. A nice 10 mile bike ride took the place of it.
