Well.....half an hour of my life reading this thread that I'm never going to get back and I eventually arrive at one big conclusion.

People on this site appear to be a bunch of vacuous, unpleasant hyenas.

Well from seeing a lot of the topics that get posted I have came to the conclusion:

    •We are all hungry
•Most people are on their TOM and it's causing weight gain
    • Some of us need a good roll in the hay.

What is your opinion on girls that take pictures of themselves showing off or flaunting "their goods "in their bras, or arms covering what should be x rated? And post it on here? How much skin is acceptable to show in a photo? (and I'm not just talking about the bikini pics). Isn't this a fitness site?? Well I'm on here to get help with weight loss and fitness. I really don't need to see pic that you might be on a porn site. Don't get me wrong, I think it's great if a girl has enough confidence to show themselves off like that, but can't we keep it tasteful? I'm sure she's posting the pictures to get attention from guys or maybe even other girls... Anyways I think its extremely distasteful and should not be allowed
I think they're wrong! You don't have to show off your skin to show your progress. Doesn't it display in your ticker anyways? Call me conservative but if these girls are showing their skin here to any guy that can potentially see them and get turned on then what the heck is left for their husbands? If you show your body to everyone then its not special. Showing skin is not confidence! Confidence is knowing you look good without needing the approval of other people. Sorry but its the truth!

    WTF.

Have you ever been to a pool? The beach?

Maybe YOU feel confident covered from head to toe, I feel confident half naked AND covered head to toe.

Oh, and many people actually gain weight when transforming their bodies from flab to fit, and that's not gonna show in a ticker.

A little less judgement, and a little more naked, please.
Why are you attacking my opinion? WTF I thought i was entitled to my own ****ING opinion.

Please take a moment to analyze the hipocracy of this.

Or maybe, JUST maybe she's showing off her hard work.

    THIS ... yup

If they feel good about themselves .. why not ? ... Distasteful or not is a matter of peronsal oppinion ... In my opinion if they have been working hard at it and proud of their results they should show it off .. I don't think its to get attention from the guys ... and if it is ..so what ??!!

Ok ladies, the OP has a point and this cannot go on like this. That's it, from now on fully naked pictures only. I have a nice DSLR camera if you need assistance.

    Ok, let's go!

Quite frankly, m'dear, she was disagreeing with your opinion. Please don't get upset when someone disagrees with you and posts a response that YOU posted on a public forum.

I'm obviously at the very least half naked in my profile pic. Why is there a double standard?

People don't workout hard to post pics of themselves in turtlenecks.

I'm not sure I see the point. Fitness matters so you can display your body on the internet?

    on a fitness site?! Yes.

My bad. I thought it was about health.

You seem to be thinking wrong on a lot of things today

My FITNESS pal is the name, surely that gives away the clue about what the site is about?

So fitness is just appearance? Because I'm clearly on the wrong site if it is. I couldn't care less about how my weight or exercise level affects my appearance. I thought fitness was about health, and that was what I was working hard for.

Just to be clear, as I said, I feel like everyone should be able to post whatever they want. I disagree strongly with the OP. I look at the ones that I'm comfortable with and don't look at what I'm not. But I don't see that it's necessary to improve one's health to post pictures of oneself--no matter how much/little clothing. Health/fitness ISN'T about how you look, and it's not "obvious" that a fitness site would include pictures. Thread after thread says "I don't shame fat people because of how they look! I CARE about them and it's unhealthy!" If that were entirely true, then there would be no need to post pictures to show off "fitness."

has anyone mentioned there is actually a rule about pictures being "workplace appropriate" which means bikinis and swimsuits are ok-since you can look at those at work and in public places, but bra and panties or less is not. I don't think this gets policed, exactly, but thems the rules...

In the immortal words of Dirty Dancing "God wouldn't have given you marraccas if he didn't want you to shake them".

Seriously. Why do some people think it's ok to impose their puritanical, small minded, mean spirited prudishness on others? *That* is disgusting and shouldn't be allowed.

This is an 18+ site. If you're not mature enough to cope with perfectly decent photos of people showing off the bodies they worked hard to achieve, perhaps you should consider whether you're old enough to be here.

A body is a body is a body. We all have the same body parts. No, I don't think you should be dressed like a hooker, but if you're clearly wearing a bikini/bra/underwear to show off where you started and how far you've come, then go at it. It's annoying when these 15 year old girls have their tits pushed to their chin and their *kitten* hanging out of their shorts, but what can you do? Unless nips or vag's or peen's are showing, it's really not the biggest issue ever.

No it is not, its a lot more BUT it is part of it. Everyone has different view on what fitness is. Showing your efforts is how some people show off their fitness and happiness with their results.

    I really don't get the fit-person-bashing.
How is that ok and fat-bashing is bad??
And I agree, this whole thing is illogical.

I bet if there were as many 250 lb women posting pictures of themselves in their underwear and bikinis that there would be more than a few double standards from those who think it's fine to be 3cm of material short of an R rating for a 115 lb person.

Edited to add that bathing suit looks painful.

ok wth? how do people join a weight-loss fitness website, and then get offended when people... um, show off their weight-loss? I don't get it..... O_o .... and then how do the mods *not* recognize them as trolling?

Captain's Log: Supplemental: Captain MSF has noted a curious phenomenon amongst the creature who appear in a heightened state of anxiety. In response to the airborne "you are not allowed to show your bodies, evah!" virus many of the highly adorned aliens have shed their outer skins resulting in sexy time. Captain MSF is to test this theory independently but is currently too busy stuffing his face with jerk chicken, rice and peas.
