These replies are saddening me :( I'm 5'4 and 115 lbs and wear 26-27 in jeans, I still wore 26 at 110 which was my lowest weight. I'm pear shaped though. I'm an Xs/ 2 on top. My hips and legs always look like they belong on a different person :/

I'm 5'6 and was 125 in 2016, was a size 0, and tested 18-19% body fat. I relied on public transportation, had to carry heavy bags all the way home after shopping for groceries, walked to and from college campus, biked to work, had a heavy college backpack, and ate a high protein diet. So I think that all had something to do with it. Since then, I haven't been as active (still rely on public transportation though). Now I'm 148-150, a size 2-4, and 24-25% bodyfat. Not too bad. Am currently on a cut to get back to 2016 stats :)

Right now I’m 5’4” and I weight 150lbs. I can fit into a size 6 in Nike athlete clothes like golf shorts and pants but mostly wear size 8 because that’s all I have and clothes are expensive. I have to wear a belt with the size 8 though. When I got down to 143lbs before Christmas I could’ve fit into 4s if I tried.

5’3’’ and 125 and I wear size 6 in most brands. I’m older with 2 kids so imagine that has something to do with my larger waist?

I still don't understand what waist size has to do with pants unless they are high waisted. Pants always go up to my hips not my waist. That is why I've never understood why they call it waist measurement, shouldn't it be hips??? They say these jeans are 27in waist, but they don't even go to my waist.

My waist is 28in but I wear 23/24inch "waist" jeans... There is no area of them that are 24in, so why do they call it waist? Anyone know? I have always wondered this.

As far as I know jeans still go by the predicted waist measurements. If your hips are 28inches then statistically based on body proportions your waist will be 21inches (using the ratio of 0.75). Fashion has changed where the top of jeans/pants sit. When I was younger the top of jeans and pants sat just below your belly button.

    I'm 5'4". I've been 127. I was a size 4 jeans or 26/27 inch jeans. Extra small tops. Size 4 dress.

I'm 47 now. 27/28 jeans (sixz 6), small shirt, size 4 dress (sometimes the bottom is tight but a 6 is big on top)

Size 12. It's been a long, long time, and sizes have changed a lot.
