I'd love to be able to afford Mac/Bobbi brown make up but it just isn't going to happen!

I use clinique foundation which I love though some of them make you look a bit greasy. Cheap natural collection bronzer (99p and lasts FOREVER!) rimmel mascara or avon own brand ones - both great! I LOVE rimmel products and wouldn't consider anything but their concealers.

Barry M make great nail polish.

Ooh, amateur make up artist here. I am a vintage girl and do 1920s-1960s makeovers at various events. Personally, I am a fan of a lot of the new cheaper brands emerging in the UK. Sleek make fantastic eyeshadows and blushes that are just a notch below MAC and a fraction of the price. Soap and glory make up also really impressed me, especially the pen eyeliner, so much better than MAC.

My personal make up consists of various BB creams and foundations (currently Revlon Colorstay for work and Illamasqua skinbase for play) to give a matte vintage look, Coty Airspun loose powder, a pinkish blush, mascara and MAC Ruby Woo lipstick or the Maybelline 24 hour (that stuff rocks).

I love make up. Happy sigh.

My ultimate cannot live without is Mac Liquid Last eyeliner.

    M66Y03.jpg

I also like Boing concealer by Benefit & Bojouris Rouge Hi Tech lip ink.

Other than that I use a range of makeup. Eyeshadows are Mac, Illamasque and cheaper makes. Lipgloss I have a million brands!

I've only ever used one foundation...actually it's a tinted moisturizer--Tarte's Smooth Operator line of oil-free tinted moisturizers...I use their shade "facade 02" I think it is. My skin gets red and splotchy, and I also have mild psoriasis, and when I wear this moisturizer, everyone I know says how great my skin looks. And though it says it's a moisturizer, I wouldn't use it as a substitute for regular moisturizer...I did that once, and it ended up looking really fake and cakey. I apply my regular moisturizer first--Lush's "Celestial" face moisturizer for sensitive skin...it was about $21 for a tub of it, but a little goes a long way...I didn't believe the girl who sold it to me that it will last at least 60 days, but you literally only need a small dot and your whole face is covered. THEN I use Tarte's tinted moisturizer over that and it works great.

I'm really picky with eyeliner. I used to always use Physician's Formula since I'm very sensitive to a lot of products, and theirs works great, but I got sick of ever stick I'd buy being broken, no matter what store I bought it from. I switched to Urban Decay a few years ago, and LOVE their "Ink For Your Eyes" cream eyeliner....which unfortunately is no longer sold in any stores in my area. :frown: I tried their eyeliner pencil...the one that actually looks like a writing pencil, since all the sales women at Ulta said it was their most popular seller, but I hated it. I tried Urban Decay's other pencil liner...the one that is more like a crayon pencil, and I do like that one. Not the same as their cream eyeliner, though.

I switch it up with Mascara...I think at some point, I've tried almost everything by Maybelline. I used a waterproof mascara from Avon once, didn't care for it. I'm using Ulta's regular waterproof mascara right now, and I didn't like it at first, but it's alright now. I've heard really great reviews about Lancome's mascara, I think I'll try that one next.

Eyeshadows vary...for some reason, I love a really good bright, ultra-metallic and sparkly silver shadow...the best one I've found is L'Oreal's HIP...it's a silver and sparkly black duo. Never used the black, but when the silver is applied with a damp brush it's AMAZING. I like the eyeshadow crayons by Ulta as well...I have several, and so far, only one of the shades (a dark green) isn't to my liking...their pinks and purples and neutrals and metallics are all nice. I used to like those mousse eyeshadows from Maybelline back in the day, but I never see them anymore.

I'm not a fan of lip products whatsoever...but I did see someone mentioned Victoria's Secret's Beauty Rush glosses?? I love those!! I had a slightly shimmery vanilla one from years ago when I worked for the company...their lip gloss is the only one that doesn't feel like I'm wearing grease on my lips. I may have to get another one.

What about perfume? I love calvin kline and coach :)

Big CK fan here. Use Eternity for Men (yes, Men) regularly. The other men's cologne: Hugo Boss' Dark Blue. Perfume-wise, White Linen was the only one in the inventory for years until I was very recently led to try Eternity for Women. Now I am hopelessly hooked.

I am poor, so no fancy makeup for me. Drugstore brands all the way.

Most days, all I wear is some mascara (Maybelline "The Falsies") and fill in my invisible eyebrows with Revlon Brow Fantasy Brow Pencil & Gel.

I have a million different eye shadows that are all different brands.

On the rare occasion that I wear foundation, it is Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse.

Lip gloss or lipstick is ELF and Burt's Bees, mostly, plus one fancy one from a health store I can't remember the brand of (but since I rarely use it, it will last a while).

I actually don't have a favorite brand. I wear make up but, I was always a tom boy so I never really got much into it. Now that I'm way more open to the idea, I have no idea how to apply half of it. So I just keep with a color of eye shadow, mascara and eye liner. Lip gloss if it's a special day.

I am the same way. I do like Benefit products, though.

i love Dior foundation and MAC eye shadows. but i've found no matter what brand eyeshadow you buy, the key to getting it to look right is layer on colors.

Daily makeup is as follows; Smashbox Primer, MUFE HD Foundation mixed with Neutrogena SPF 15 Oil Free Lotion to make my own tinted moisturizer, set with MUFE Microfinish powder or Urban Decay Razor Sharp, Benefit Browzings eyebrow kit, Urban Decay Primer potion, Urban Decay shadows (usually from Naked and/or Naked 2), Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner Pencil, Benefit's They're Real Mascara, set with Urban Decay finishing spray and some sort of balm on the lips.

I have a ton of makeup so special occasion makeup usually starts with the same face/brows routine and then I go crazy with either the eyes or the lips. Most of my makeup is Urban Decay and Smashbox. I used to use a ton of drugstore brands but as I tried the more expensive stuff I began switching over one product at a time. It just doesn't compare.

I wear a lot of MAC and I'm probably going to give Bobbi Brown foundation a try soon. I love crazy makeup, too! Costume/fashion makeup, etc. however, I do buy drugstore mascara. I don't like it after it gets goopy, so I don't want to spend $$$ on something I"m only going to use half of.

I have oily skin and I could never live without Urban Decay's De-Slick Primer and Setting Spray. It seriously works miracles
    .
    UrbanDeccayDeSlickOilControlSettingSprayandDeSlickInATube.jpg

This Revlon Mineral Mousse foundation is no longer carried in stores but I can still find it online. I will cry the day they stop making it.

    081009-revlon-mineral-mousse-400.jpg

And to finish it all off, Smashbox Halo powder. I cannot justify this at full price so I buy it new and sealed from a seller on eBay for half the price.
