8 hours of sleep and 8 hours of water is going to be tough for me.
    but i'll try!

I don't know what's up with me, but i've had the worst month since this challenge started.
    it's not even 9am and i've cried buckets and i don't know why . . . and i'm usually not like this.
i had a terrible eating day yesterday. exercise has been so hard to get to. ugh.

anyway. i'm still here, will keep at it. but it's been really tough.

Congratulations to the big losers. Thanks for the challenges. The 8 glasses of water is easy - I already get that every day. The 8 hours of sleepis sometimes hard, but I'll try. Only 5 1/2 last night because of GERD, so that might make it really easy to get 8 tonight!

Seems like some kind of imbalance... low on estrogen or something... Try searching about it and see if you might need to up a vitamin, herb, etc. Good luck!

i totally sympathize with this, i normally have horrible reflux at night, usually between 2am and 4am, go figure...but lately its been pretty much non existent, which is awesome. maybe its what im eating, maybe its how im eating, but *crosses fingers* so far so good.

The challenges.......Since started MFP I have been getting my 8 cups per day, most of the time. But as for the 8 hours of sleep......can't remember the last time I slept 8 hours. My body only sleeps 6. No matter what time I go to bed....6 hours later, I'm up. I envy those that sleep 8.

We have already lost 19 people. Two people asked to be removed. On a happy note... As a group, we have already lost 337.85 lbs!

So I just found it amusing that with the total weight loss of the group (probably happened last week honestly) that we have "lost" me, or at least what I weighed at the beginning of the year. I started out at 303 and have lost at least 43 pounds this year so far and I'm still going strong. I'm aiming for at least 50 before we fly back to the states in the next 12 days but we'll see how that goes with all the stress of moving and eventually living in a hotel room so there's no home cooking.

    Hello Thinnies!

Wow - that grand total for weight loss for the group is impressive! My scale has been moving soooo slowly! I'm thinking it is a combo of stress / working longer hours. Normally I leave for work at 7:40 and get home w/ the kids at 2:45... then I'm busy from 2:45 until bedtime.

But - my desk runneth over, so I have been putting in tons of longer days, at a desk sitting on my butt. I get up frequently for water & such - but it doesn't quite compare to the energy I expend once I'm home with the kids.

I think I still need to watch my "PM Snack, Dinner & Dessert" calorie intake. Even though I'm usually in my calorie range, I eat more than 1/2 my calorie intake at this time of day.

I've also had work meetings/dinners this week. Our family very rarely eats out EVER as we follow a strict budget - so my body is not used to restaurant food. I've been picking what looks to be the healthiest on the menus, but wow - restaurant food is salty! (at home we don't each too much "prepared" food - moreso from scratch, so our usual salt intake is pretty low).

Wow, entirely too much about Me Me Me!!!

So excited for everyone who hit their mini-goals & for everyone else who is still fighting towards their's or setting new realistic goals.

Fingers crossed that I will hit mine just one week late (or even do better).

The scale started with a "1" today, so fighting thru the next 4 days to firmly plant myself into "onederland"!!!

Wishing you all a most wondrous day!

    Hugs,
    Amy

So I didn't reach my mini goal weight last week but I blew it out of the water this week! And honestly I'm really rather amazed it happened since the only real exercise I got this past week was my crazy long 10 mile walk last Saturday. But I did also bump up my calories for a couple of days by changing my activity level setting, so perhaps I just tricked up my metabolism or something. All I know is that my goal of 50 pounds gone by the time we fly home is looking more and more possible. I'm not only 3.2 pounds away and we fly out in 11 days! :)

Emilie - congrats on being so close to your "go home" goal.

I have my 20th High School Reunion coming up this summer, so tonight I am going to count how many weeks until then & plan out some goals!

Does anyone else have a special event coming up in the next few months they are striving toward being more fit & toned for?

    Hugs to all,

    Amy

Thanks! I am so looking forward to going home. It's been three long wonderful years here in South Korea but it really is just time to get back to the States and it feels great to be going home lighter than when we arrived here. I know that you can reach your goals for your high school reunion as well.

I'm taking my daughter to see my family the last weekend in June. The goal is to have to buy new clothes before I go. As much as i don't like shopping for clothes normally, I think that will be a good shopping trip.

    Heeeeey,

I'm pretty gutted that once again the scale has not moved. I started the Olivia method on monday and as a deficit from the last 7 days I have a total of 3015 calories so I don't get why the scale isn't moving :( any suggestions? I have ate above my bmr every day so this baffles me.
How's everyone dong? I wish you all the best of luck for this weight, may the odds truely be in your favour. I am a hunger games nut :D

Back on track, losing again. I'm far more impressed with the measurements though, almost 2 inches overall since I measured on 4/14! We've had beautiful weather here lately and it really does affect my mood. So while I've been slacking on my workouts, I've been far more active in general, just getting outside, going to the park, riding my bike and gardening. We're gonna have a huge haul of berries from our garden this year, and I'm so in love with berries right now. I have my sister(who doubles as my bestest friend in the whole wide world/partner in crime) and my beautiful baby niece coming from halfway across the country next week, so we will be getting up to some mischief. So in short, things are lovely right now and I hope everyone else is have a great time as well. Remember to enjoy life, forget about the rat race and RELAX!

I won't be weighing in until Monday morning but I wanted to stop and say AWESOME for how much weight we have all lost as a group! Great job guys!!!

Amy: I really don't have anything going on this year but I want to lose the rest of my weight by the end of the year and go into next year only worrying about maintenance. I was hoping to see Onederland by my 40th birthday, but since that isn't happening I just want to continue to strive for my goal weight by the end of the year.

Right now I'm showing a 2lb loss...but we will see what Monday says. Had a very stressful week so I'm pleased that I had a loss and not a gain.
Have a great weekend folks.
