Hi!
I'll be turning 49 next month! (YIKES!). I sure don't feel like 49. I lost 95 lbs 11 years ago, and have kept the majority of it off. BUT, I have 10-15 lb gain I've been struggling with for the last few years. yes, YEARS! My food has to be 110% to lose anything, which is so hard for me.
Add me as a friend, I am happy to give support and get support from anyone in this 40's boat!

Turning 40 in June. It's part of the motivation to do something now before it gets nearly impossible to do it. Good luck! Friend me if you like0

I to am a yo yo dieter. My weight has yo yo since my teens. And it is getting harder to loseweight. But I am determined to lose weight and take it off once in for all. Especially for health reasons. Good luck to everyone. If you would like to make me your friend you may. Have a great day!0

40 and right there with you. It helps to have friends in the same age bracket going through the same, or similar, life changing events.
Anyone is welcome to add me.0 -
43 yr old female here from the US. Feel free to add me! I got serious about getting back into shape 2 months ago and have lost about 6 pounds so far. I don't have a lot to lose, would like to lose about another 15 pounds. I work out about 5-6 times a week and have been eating clean with a cheat day every Saturday. I'm currently doing Team Fitness Training at the gym and just started (again) the C25K program. Hope to hear from you all!0

Just turned 40 not long ago...wow, you are right, so hard to lose the weight! And then try to maintain...feel free to add me!0

I decided at age 46 to get the weight off! Now....89 pounds lighter, it was SO worth it!!! Don't give up!0

I just turned 40 and also just started this journey and I am not seeing the scale go down as fast as I would like either. I guess I had some delusions of THE BIGGEST LOSER where I would lose 5-10 lbs per week....but I have had to try and be my own best friend instead of my own worst enemy and be a little kinder and gentler to myself! (Of course I don't eat 100% great yet, or work out 5 hours a day or take diet supplements either or have personal trainers and doctors around, I do realize it's not an accurate or realistic portrayal of a weightloss journey)....Anyway....Here I am ...40 and finally ready to do something to change my life and feel better.
Feel free to add me too, we can do this together!

I'm 40 and training to run my first half marathon ever. Found that, for me, running makes losing weight much easier. The half marathon was my not-so-subtle way of telling 40 "screw you"!! LOL
Feel free to add me as a friend. My only other friend is my husband!! :-)

I'm 42 and running my 2nd half marathon in two days... started running last year because, as stated above, there is not better calorie burn for the time investment than running. If you had told me last year at this time that I would be running my 2nd 1/2 marathon in a year I would have thought you were CRAZY! Turns out I'm stronger than I was giving myself credit for. I'm eating well and am feeling better than I have in years. The weight is SLOWLY coming off... it's definitely not as easy as it used to be... but I'm determined to get there. I have a whole closet full of clothes waiting for me and I'm getting close! Happy to have new friends... always looking for others in similar situations for mutual support!0 -
45 here and yes it does get harder.
The thing to remember is that it's worth it. Things I had to learn - ask questions, enlist professionals if you need to, and don't beat yourself up for not doing it perfectly.
OH, and keep at it0 -
42 here. please add me. the more friends, the more motivation!0
-
I am 47 and new here if you would like to add me please feel free to do so, thanks:bigsmile:0

I'm soon to be 43 and I can honestly say that I move more and do more now than I ever did when I was younger. My late 20's and early 30's was when I was settling in and getting fat... Now I see that I need to take care of myself and I workout regularly and watch what I eat (Thanks to MFP)... I sat on my *kitten* and ate crap when I was younger. Now I do fun stuff like ziplines and white water rafting!!!0

I am 46 and realizing I have to stop blaming 3 kids (21,19&16) ,hot flashes and RA for the weight I am carrying:) P lease add me as a friend, I need all the help I can get!0

i will be 43 in june...add me:)0

i'm 47 and definitely feel like you have to work harder the numbers don't move on scale...and trying to avoid middle age spread...and sometimes the exercise you did a few years ago..you somehow cant do them now without worrying if your going to injure yourself somehow and i'm talking about knees, back etc0
