Would you ever be a stripper?

So, hear is my honest observation and I speak from some experience. Back in the late 70's and early 80's I escorted strippers to and from different events for a Company in Southern California. Bachelor Parties, Sponsored Events, Private parties. Wasn't a pimp. I was paid for transportation and protection.
There is some good money in it for strippers if they have their head on straight. I met many girls over the years and still have friends 30 years later. I've read people here generalizing aboput the lifestyle.
Of all the women I know from that time in my life only one had a happy ending. She started at 18 and saved every penny she earned and opened her own Beauty Salon at 22. She never did drugs and she never got caught up in the darker aspects of the lifestyle. I don't know one other girl who achieved any personal success.
They all succuumbed to drug use. Cocaine was the drug of choice at the time.
They all claimed to be "apsiring" actresses. None of them called it as it was.
They all ended up in somebodies bed for money, trips or drugs.
None of them became actresses.
A couple of them became trophy wives, but they were the lucky ones and they married for status or money rather than love.
So, one success out of close to 50 or more that I personally knew of.
Don't get me wrong, the very first gal I knew is still a friend of mine 35 years later. She just got married and seems happy. It's her 6th marriage. He has money, so she no longer has to work. She gave up 35 years, though, to be where most people could be a lot sooner and without the trails she suffered for.
So, paint the picture you want to see, but, as a father of 3 girls, I can say with 100% certainty that they will never be on the pole.0 -
Question FBMandy:
Not calling u out or anything like that or to start any argument everyone is entitled to their opinions, just completely curious
If you had a daughter would you be proud of her if she chose that as her profession?
No judgement here just wonderin
How to start an argument online:
1.- Express your opinion
2.- Wait.0 -
I'd totally Chris Farley the hell out of women
Sure we think we look like Chippendales... But THIS is IT!!0 -
If i had a hot body i would consider it.
Iv always wanted to be a pole dancer..0 -
No. But that's mainly because when I see strippers (male or female) all I can think about is STD's.0
-
not outside my house or a fitness studio. It's a risky profession, and doesn't it into my values.0
-
Yep, i'd do naked butlering and maybe stripping if offered the right money. Easy money.0
-
If I were younger I certainly would. I'm perfectly happy wandering round naked in front of people.0

Heck NO!! Women are like a pack of hungry wolves when there is a naked man in the room!!
Hahahaha - excellent!!0 -
I would become a stripper then long to be on the stage, push someone down the stairs then have the most dreadful sex in a swimming pool
(Guess the film and you get a point)
Showgirls...
For all the ladies who said they are "ok with stripping" because they "dont mind being naked" ... feel free to inbox me with pix. I'm stuck on a ship in the middle of the ocean, and could use something nice to look at... GO NAVY.
ROFL - I might just take you up on that!!!0 -
No. I couldn't take my clothes off for other guys. When I was single maybe. But now, no.
I did ask my husband if I could get a job at hooters though after my surgery. LOL0 -

Great post. I know someone very close to me that was a stripper. There are things that went on in her club that pulled her into a very dark world. Now, I should say, the strippers were nice girls and her boss was nice too. But there was lots of drugs and prostitution. She knew men that could "get a job done for you" if it was needed.
She was able to get out of that world, but I do feel it has jaded her some. She thinks that all men are pigs and use women for sex. She is married and has two sons, but her general view of men is very jaded.
I think that it would seem fun at first and the money would be great. But, I do think it would jade you over time. You would see men at their worst and there will be fellow strippers that will do things that will make you sad. Doing it once to have fun or a burlesque club for fun is one thing. But to enter into that world, one would have to be very cautious and wise because the slope would be very slippery!!0 -
I'm far too modest to ever do it.
But even if I wasn't, I have a few friends who did it and it was so awful they couldn't get on stage without being high. It isn't as glamorous as it looks on TV and in movies.0 -
This has to be one of the most entertaining posts I have read in a long time!!!! At the end of the day, everyone has there own ideas of what they would and wouldn't do and nobody has the right to judge. You can ask for opinions and every one will be different but it's only you that can make that decision, but I would re-iterate, do your research and make sure you are safe. As for me, I would love to try it if I had more confidence in myself!!  Good luck, whatever you decide.0

When I was travelling I worked behind the bar in one, my job involved no stripping, but pretty silly outfits. Its was a nice place, customers were fine, we had a lot of security and the girls were lovely.
I got paid an insane amount of money for bar work and I made some great friends.
The tips were great!

Absolutely! The ladies would pay me so much to put my clothes back on I'd be rich! RICH, I tell you! MUHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAaaaa(coughing fit).0

I wouldn't judge my daughter if she was mature enough to make that decision and was happy with her decision. Too me it wouldn't make her any less of a person or a daughter. I would be far less proud if my child had a college degree and and a nice "respectable" career but was a complete jerk of a person (cheater, abuser, etc).
Then again, I try to judge people by their character, not what they look like or where they work..
FBMandy, I totally agree - and can I just say, you rock!!!! :bigsmile:0 -
I would do it in a heart beat if there was a proper establishment around here. I'm 100% confident my wife would be my #1 fan. I'd support her in such a decision also.
Everyone's circumstances are different, you do what you and everybody else's opinions are completely irrelevant.0 -
Just for the fun, yes! As a carer option...no0
-
Probably I love gettin naked aha worked as a naked butler for bit but got fat so quit but ill b bk aha0
-
No not my thing... I have rarely heard any good things that affiliate with this profession, aside from the money.
I'll continue stripping for the bedroom!!0 -
Can't dance in an erotic way to save my life. So not a chance0
-
I like the look of pole 'acrobatics' but all that sliding your butt crack up and down the pole, and thrusting your crotch about looks really nasty to me.
I currently do arabeque dancing (aka belly dancing) and its a much more beautiful art form, to me. I would perform that in public and I'd do pole acrobatics (not the erotic kind) but I'd never get my bits outs- i don't even sunbathe topless (Okay, i don't actually sunbthe- but I would'nt do it toplesss if I did)0 -
Yep, no probs. Maybe do naked butlering...0
