1.30am and not able to sleep. :frown: :frown:

So frustrating as I am very tired, having a chamomile tea and will watch a bit of late night tv that should do the trick, I hope.

Thanks for all the birthday wishes. Honestly, I think I'm going to start counting backwards. I've got enough years to last a lifetime.

Robin, fingers crossed for your interview and hope your foot heels quickly.

I'm off to sign up for the gym. We're having beautiful weather here. I hope yours is the same. I need to enjoy it while it lasts as it will hit the 100's before too long. Ugh!

    Mimi SVQ

p.s. Robin, pun was NOT intended but I think it needs to stay. I also hope you heal quickly!

    Happy Monday too:-)

Robin: Hoping something good comes from your interview & also Laura, your husband's!
    Sorry about your foot, Robin:-(

Barbie: Glad you had a good time with your friends, but I know what you mean about being glad to get back to "normal" with food & exercise! I am feeling the same today too.

Jen: Hope you finally got some sleep!!

I just returned from a trip to dermatologist (almost 2 hour drive each way:yawn: ) and some treatments on my face that have left me red and puffy. I have had several skin cancers over the years and it runs in our family so I am doing a bit of preventative treatment so that I don't keep having things cut on my face! I won't be going anywhere for a few days and am staying inside the rest of the day. I'll do a bit of weight training later, but will save the intense exercise for another day I think. Sweating won't feel good today:noway:

Have a good week, everyone:flowerforyou: Kackie

Lynda - welcome! We're excited to have you here. You know, the learning process never ends. Just today I was reviewing a menu and I would honestly have thought that 1/2 of a rotisserie chicken was much higher in calories than it is.

fitz - When I posted last night, I usually do my post in a Word Pad document and then just copy and paste it. Usually, it doesn't take very long at all for my post to appear, but last night it took well over half a minute. That's unusual. Good thing I didn't delete the post (in the WP document) until I saw in in MFP.

Well, I ordered the Flex Edge. I had to write to the manufacturer because on Amazon it just said that it was for a 4.5 and 5 quart model. They told me what the part number was, and it's listed on Amazon, only I didn't know that was the part number. Ordering it from them it would have been $40, from Amazon it was $17.

Did about 20 minutes of yoga today then an hour of the extremepump class. I am trying adding more weight. But on the other hand, I don't want to compromise my form. Tomorrow I'll do some HIIT and some incline intervals on the treadmill.

I just put on a pair of shorts I know that I bought when we lived in PA and we've been in NC for 4 years now. So in that time I haven't lost nor gained weight.

After the extremepump class I went food shopping, mainly because the store has triple coupons this week. Unfortunately, I totally forgot to get batteries for Denise. Well, I'll be up that way tomorrow for mahjongg so I'll stop and get them then. After shopping since I didn't get any refrigerated items, I bowled my 3 free games then went to another store to get baking goods (Aldi's has some decent prices)

Robin - hope your foot feels better real fast.

Well, I'm going to post this mainly to mark my spot. Looking forward to DWTS tonight.

Hope everyone has a great day.

    Michele

Greetings ladies! It’s been a while since I’ve posted! I am so “over the top” busy with work, Graduations, 1st Communions, Weddings, Birthdays, Banquets, Softball games etc. this all before or after working an 8 hour day M-F……… I hardly have time to say hi!:noway:

However....... I have never missed a day tracking or drinking my water! Besides all the above, I am now in PT 1 night a week because my hip joints are very tight. They were making exercising difficult:frown: . In fact I thought I had Sciatica, but I don’t thank God! :blushing: Every day I have to do 1 hour of stretching…over and above the treadmill! There just isn’t enough time in the day! I’m hoping once I loosen up that I won’t have to do this routine every day! It’s killing me! At least my weight has remained the same, so I am very grateful for that!

Just had to say hi and let you all know that I am still with you guys and cheering in the background:love::flowerforyou: . I do hope things slow down so I can post more but for now I’m just keeping my head above the water!

Hugs to all! And One Day at a Time is still my mantra!!! :drinker:

Marking my spot. Just got back from the gym. I have been slogging away at exercise this past week. I normally enjoy it but I have a sinus infection that has me tired and dizzy. This too shall pass.

Birdie - Nice to hear from you!

Robin - Hope the foot gets better quick.

Here's to a successful week. :drinker:

Jen, hope you managed to get some sleep

Robin, fingers crossed for the job and I hope your foot gets better soon

Kackie, Good luck with the preventative treatment

Michele, glad you're liking your new mixer. Are you managing not to eat all the cakes you are making. I love baking but don't very often as I'd just eat it all.

DeterminedInaz, think positive. change your ticker to show how many lbs you've already lost instead of how many you still have to loose. It's all psychological but it helps.

Had a good day, been to my ladies craft group tonight, did some knitting, I'm knitting an Aran jumper for DS but haven't done much lately

It's so sad about Robin Gibb isn't it.

It's been a while since I posted. Just been very busy. Lots of fun stuff too, such as enjoying grandbaby. He is 9 months already and we enjoy him so much

The other fun thing has been digging into my ancestry. Actually both mine and my DH.

Also working full-time in a management position and hours are therefore not that regular. Also just now getting to completing the year end for DH business. You'd think that would be easy for me since I am an accountant. I can tell you that it is much different if you do it for someone else. I hate doing our own stuff. Hate it with a passion. Enough wining, although a glass of wine is easing the "pain". :drinker: :drinker:

Have not lost any weight, but feeling much better since my thyroid meds have been balanced out again. That took about 6 months!

It is lovely spring here and soon we will get the patio furniture outside and cleaned up. :flowerforyou:

    Bye for now.

Just a quick hello...had a great weekend with DD and her DBF at the lake. I did a lot of raking and spring cleanup...dh will have to mow next weekend when he comes and then I can finish raking...mostly weeds not grass. Spent Sunday afternoon in a chair or IN the water:noway: ...we are talking MAY and Great Sacandaga Lake...if I am in the water mid June we are doing well...water was cold but the sun was hot so what is not to like...not swimming more like dipping! Lol

Pretty tired today..not sleeping well lately, :grumble: hopefully tonight will be the night. Need to bike in the am...

    Have a good night all

Good Morning...or night or afternoon...Dear Ladies!

I scared myself when I woke up this morning...my face is SO puffy and my eyes so swollen. I don't think I iced my face as much as I was supposed to yesterday after my dermatology visit. YIKES! Have to stay home today for SURE! It doesn't hurt at all, just looks WIERD:noway:

Determinedanaz: I agree with Cath about changing your ticker to show pounds lost and focus on what you HAVE done well so far. Also, set TINY, small goals that you know you can achieve each day and I like Birdie's mantra of "one day at a time"! Keep coming back and let us know how you are doing. Take care:-):flowerforyou:

Cath: Good for you for knitting. I got carpel tunnel a few years back when I tried to knit. I just had my hands too tense, so I had to give it up! I do wish I could knit DGDs some little things, though:flowerforyou: !

Birdie: I am so glad to see your smiling, pretty face here again. I am sorry that you are suffering a bit from tight hips. It is probably all the good exercise that you do. The stretching is a great habit to get into, though. Hope that it helps. You are an inspiration and a great role model for us...if we log EVERY thing every day, we can get thin, but more importantly, that's how we will STAY thin:flowerforyou: WTG!!!

Barbie: Glad your whole "family" is back together!

KatieJar: Enjoy your DD being home! She is in the photo with you on your profile, right? She is darling!

Renny: Glad to hear from you too and see how your DGS is growing into such a darling boy. Keep in touch:-)

Jen: HOpe you slept better last night. It throws everything out of wack to be tired:yawn:

I am missing my good, fast walks. Hopefully, tomorrow...

    Take care! Kackie

    Hello ladies

I'm going to let you in on a huge secret ..... don't mention it to anybody though ..... the sun is shining in London town and it's 25 degrees in the gallery! For the first time in .... don't know, can't remember .... I'm actually feeling warm. It's a pity that I'm super busy today and rushing around like mad, but it is definitely nice to have some sunshine.

Hopefully it will stay sunny tomorrow as I'm not working. I'm - insert fanfare here - going to see my gorgeous grandtwins. Yay! SOBSIL is away for the day and DD called to ask if I would like to go out with her and the babies. Err, Yes please! Keep your fingers crossed that this is a move towards more Grammy rights.

Got to dash, but send love to you all.

    Hi All!
Just a quick post as the chiro appt got postponed and I WILL GET DOWN on the mat for the time saved.

This weekend, a couger was seen two blocks up and one block over from us, feasting on freshly killed deer. High pet alert, Joe checks trees and roofs when walking Dixie, the General does not patrol the yard unescorted. Couger seems to be a young one, unwary of people and traffic, sighted yesterday crossing river via pedestrian bridge to our state college. He'll be found and shot soon, like the one last year near St. Al's hospital. Sad but there it is.

:flowerforyou: Belated best bday wishes, SMVQ!
 Birdie great to see you again. An hour a day seems a lot! Maybe eventually a shorter daily session will help you maintain? This is going to sound silly, but have you tried Zumba? Nothing tight-hipped about that :)
:ohwell: Kackie could you tell us more about your preventative approach? I too have had skin cancers on my face twice, and would like to avoid future face cuttings. Would icing again today help?
 Amanda wishing you lovely time with DD and grandtwins. wishing SOBSIL a change of heart.
 Barbie, the line dance workshop in Pasco was a BLAST. We learned an 8 step (yes just 8) dance that turned out to be a killer... of course it did have tags...

    steps:
    21=10834 20=1837 <not a typo!:explode: >19=10440 18=4583 17=11646 16=18349 15=17066 14=10677 13=2316 :P 12=11167 11=8173 10=7642 09=11971 08= 07= 06= 05= 04= 03= 02=9169 01=8364
    Hugs to ALL,
    animal-emoticon-0064.gif
Barbara, the AHMOD who WILL be size 10 one day
May: mat, SWSY, chiro or spa EVERY day. Average 10K steps/day. Let it be. Really.
2012: dance more, bark less and CHECK IN!!!
