    Met at our son's 4th grade school VIP Day. I went with my Mom, he was there alone. We all played Life together. Definitely attraction at first sight! I asked my son if DH was single and he said no, so put him out of my mind.

    Several weeks later I was on a date at a local bar and saw him out with friends. Did more research and found that he was divorced. I didn't think he would ask me out because he saw me out (with a guy he knew - a jerk), so I found his phone number and called and asked him out! :blushing: He said yes, later he told me he did the happy dance around his apartment :happy:

    Married for twenty years now and still in love :love:

    We met playing call of duty online. We lived so far away, in different states, spent weeks just talking every day and staying up every night until 6 am or so with each other on the phone.. a few months later we decided we've had enough, so he came over to be with me and lived in my room for a week without my parents ever knowing ! :O Three months later, he came for another week.. and then two months later he stayed for a whole month.. then about four months after that, he moved his 19 year old self away from his family and friends and he lives just up the road from me now :) We spend every day together, but I always feel bad because he misses home SO SO SO much. :(
    I love him to bits, and even though things seem to be falling apart now, I know that we'll make it..

    I met my husband at a Sci-Fi Convention in 1988 or '89 (this one was Dr. Who & Blakes 7 themed). We had a mutual friend who introduced us, and we all kind of hung out together with a bunch of other friends. There was no romantic interest at first (I was 34, he was 23, too young for me, so I thought) so we became good friends first. It wasn't until August '89 that we realized something more had developed and had our first real date. He proposed in August 1990, and we were married in February 1991 and have been happily married now for 21 years!

    Plentyoffish.com. Talked for about a month before meeting in person. Together for 4.5 years and getting married in September. :flowerforyou:

    lol that is where my husband and I meet... we use to tell people we meet on a fishing trip :wink:

    I guess I would like to add the addundum of How old were you when you met. Everyone seems to be finding love so young it is a little discouraging at times.

    Never give up hope, if it's meant to happen, it will! I didn't find my "true love" until I stopped looking! As I said in my earlier post, I didn't meet my husband until I was around 33 or 34, didn't get married until I was 35. For many years I had tried computer dating, taking night school classes that were supposedly of interest to guys, blind dates, etc., and it was all such a waste of time. It wasn't until I stopped actively looking and just started attending activities with friends for the pure enjoyment of seeing and doing things that I liked that I actually was able to form a deep friendship there that turned into true love.

    we talked for about four years then he flew over to meet me (he's from london, i was living in oklahoma). he then came over another time then we spent the following summer together in taiwan and now i live with him in the UK :)!

    I was a designated driver for a friend for a 4th of July party. He was the guitar player at the party. It all started over crawfish. 3 months later we were married. 13 years it'll be in December.

    Met online actually. And I blew him off a couple times before we actually went out - but he was persistent - and we've been together ever since. I don't believe in love at first sight, but I did know there was something special about him from the beginning! :) First date Labor Day 2011, started living together Nov 2011. :)

    I met this guy on a dating website, who ended up being my cousin. So then we started hanging out a lot and we really clicked. I met the love of my life through him haha. He's my cousin and now best friend's best friend. And it turns out my SO's parents were good friends with my parents before we were born. Our dads were both in the same fire company together for many years

    I met my husband/best friend at the mall early 1979 we we're 16 at the time. He was with his friends that I knew, but didn't know of him. It was love at first sight for him, but not for me it took a few months. And how we have been married 30 years this month and have 2 grown sons a grandson and a daughter in-law. Life is awesome and would do it all over again in a heartbeat. May we have many many many more years together!!! Being married to your best friend/ husband is the greatest!!!!

    Home Depot! I was 15, he was 19 worked there....parents were remodeling our home and I was running back and forth. Dated five year and now our 6 year anniversary is aprroaching in June! Happy as can be! You just never know when and where you'll meet the 'One'!

    Here, on this site. Shes 12 hours away, and when I went to visit the 2nd time, I proposed and she said yes! She's moving up to Cincinnati with her two girls at the end of the month!

    So its about as close to love at first site as you can get I guess..I loved her before I even saw her!

    At a local dive bar. I I thought he was out of my league especially after he asked for my number and then didn't call for two weeks. I had forgotten about him by that point and didn't know who he was when he called. We talked for hours. We dated for five years and have been married for nine years this summer.

    I'm surprised that there are not that many people on here that "met at a bar".

    I met my wife at a bar on a night that I hadn't even planned to go out. What's ironic is that I might not have ever talked to her if her friend she was with wasn't getting hit on by some skeezy guy claiming to be a private investigator. She was standing by herself so I went and talked to her. The friend comes over shortly after that and says, "We need to get out of here, this PI guy is freaking me out!". I must have seemed pretty normal in comparison. ;)

    What's even funnier is that my wife is a "good girl" who doesn't actually drink alcohol, so she made up a story for her mom that some friends set us up on a date because her mom would have freaked out if she knew we met in a bar. I was 24 and she was 22 when we met. Dated for a few years and have been married for 15 years now.

    We met at a party at a club (so, a bar) in the city I was living in. He lived 130 KM away but came out to the party anyway (it's music specific and these fans are known to be a bit nuts and travel much further for a gig or a party).

    It was probably the worst time in both of our lives. He and his now ex had just made the decision to split, me and my now ex were not there yet but heading towards disaster.

    So, no, not love at first site, but instant friends that supported each other through some pretty bad stuff (mine not only included a break up but also losing my job and almost having to claim bankruptcy) but I can tell you there was always "something" there.

    We met in July 2003, started our relationship in November 2004 and got married in March 2009. I now live 130KM away from where we met ;-)

    We worked together as teenagers at a grocery store.. His grandma came in one day and said "Have you met my grandson, he's really cute"
    I saw him the next day-introduced myself..couple of days later I asked him to a movie (he's REALLY quiet)...Dated for a year..Been married 14 years and 2 kids later...Love him more today than I did the day we got married. (On a side note-he loves me so much-he says I'm just as beautiful as the day we got married-weight gain and all!) He's a keeper.

    I met my husband when I was 22, he was 23 playing summer softball with my cousin. My cousin had supposedly tried to hook us up, but I wouldn't let her. A guy on our team was asking me who all was together (it was almost a couples team, w/just a few of us singles), and he matched me and my husband up. I said, "No way!" But thought it was kinda hilarious. Became friends w/his sister who was also on our team, and she invited me to go w/them bowling, invited his sisters and him over for a fish fry, went to his house for a movie, went back to his house for his bday and he asked me out! Started dating the day after Thanksgiving, got engaged and married w/in 5 mos! We've been together 8yrs and just had our 4th child.

    We met through a mutual friend of ours. She sent out a mass text message to a few friends, and when I replied to her message, it was sent to him, too!

    That was Feb 26, 2011. We started talking/texting/skyping regularly! I flew up to meet him in June 2011, and we started dating! He proposed on New Years Eve, and we were married on Feb 21! 5 days before the year anniversary of the infamous accidental text. =]

    He's my best friend, and I'm so glad that I was blessed with him in my life.

    We met at a bar, he was a friend of a friend and I was (unhappily) married. We were in a group of friends and just buddies. I realized that my 1st marriage was not worth 'fixing' and asked my husband for a divorce about the same time I realized that I had fallen in love with my friend. We have been together for almost 9 years and happily married for almost 7 years.

    Met my boyfriend almost 2 years ago on a dating website. We emailed and text for a week before meeting up for a coffee and that was it, our first second and third dates were consecutive days that week. We've been together ever since, we just sparked =)

    talked to him as a friend for a while. my ex broke up with me && he was there for me :)
    we continued talking. . .
    he was/is:amazing, sweet, caring, funny, && i could go on for a while but u get the point.
    i fell for him!!!
    he fell for me!!! :)
    he DROVE 12 hours to meet me!! He treats my children right. my children LOVE him(my children r moody so thats amazing lol)
    when you know you have found the one you know it!!!! Got engaged New Years!! Moving there in 26 days!!!( i getta c him again in 23 days!! yay!!!!)
    && i hope to spend the rest of my life with him cuz i LOVE him VERY MUCH!!!!!!
