So I can carrry more shopping bags at once!

Oh, okay. Really, its because of health and that I like it. Exercise is (almost) the best stress relief in the world.

I have neurological condition and been wheelchair since 2005. I've used Wii Fit for gentle physio for years and gradually built up to been able to do more active games with faster movements like boxing which then has helped me to lose weight.

It's also helped my co-ordination and balance, relieved back pain and I've had no progression for the last year and have in fact made improvement much to the amazement of my Neurologist!

Now I can stand and walk with crutches, only for few steps but makes transfers easier... my 'why' is that I can't take anything for granted and have to work hard to keep every bit of independence and movement!

I want to HUG YOU! you're amazing and inspirational.

Helps with the depression I have struggled with for most of my life.
I have more energy to keep up with my 2 sons.
Being a good role model for my kids.
I get to eat more, and enjoy the food I eat rather than feeling guilty.
Feeling strong, and looking good :)

It's a pick me up. I use it to combat being angry.

Currently working my way out of an episode of depression and exercising gives me a purpose, that feel good factor when you finish. And it releases those endorphins that I'm always hearing about :)

I exercise because I never want to go back to the weight I was - I love being the way I am and want to still be this weight or less in 20+ years and I want to be fit enough to chase my grandchildren (my children are only 8 and 5) in 20 years time!

    - to support my love affair with chocolate
    - sweating is fun
    - gives me something constructive to do
    - has shown me that I'm capable of more than I ever thought
    - allows me to play and play and play with my kid and not get worn out
    - free entertainment for the family (walking/running/biking together)
    - cheaper than therapy

    Need more???

 exactly!!! even though I really haven't been good at it lately!

Because I get to eat more.

This. I almost have panic attacks on days when I don't exercise because the thought of staying in my set calorie range scares me a bit.

Also, I do it for the feeling right after I work out. The one where I feel strong and capable. I like feeling like that.

Everything physical is easier if you have some muscle strength and lung capacity. One tough hour can make the other 23 a lot better.

It is true that the first step is always the hardest. I sometimes struggl with getting up and moving but there are alot of reasons why- they all depend on what it is I am doing. I play softball to meet new people- and to eat ice cream after (church league), I walk to spend time with friends and catch up, I "run" because I want more than anything to be a runner but haven't made it yet....what ever I am doing and for what ever reason I always feel great (after a few minutes anyway) once I have completed the activity.

I don't WANT work out, in fact I don't even like to work out. BUT, I need to be physically fit for my career choice so it's no longer an option. I need to be in shape, and working out is the only way that I am going to get there.

I exercise because it makes me feel like a rockstar!

And because I don't want to die first in the zombie apocalypse.
