    Food you don't actually like.

That's the biggest thing I learned from MFP is that foods I don't like aren't worth the calories.

    hydric acid

-is also called "hydroxyl acid" or "dihydrogen monoxide", or sometimes simply "water", the substance is the major component of acid rain.
    -contributes to the "greenhouse effect".
    -may cause severe burns.
    -is fatal if inhaled.
-contributes to the erosion of our natural landscape.
-accelerates corrosion and rusting of many metals.
-may cause electrical failures and decreased effectiveness of automobile brakes.
-has been found in excised tumors of terminal cancer patients.

Despite the danger, water is often used:

-as an industrial solvent and coolant.
    -in nuclear power plants.
    -in the production of Styrofoam.
    -as a fire retardant.
-in many forms of cruel animal research.
-in the distribution of pesticides. Even after washing, produce remains contaminated by this chemical.
-as an additive in certain "junk-foods" and other food products.

I understand the less processed the better, but seeing the fact that most us live in polluted environments to begin with, being natural or organic seems futile to me. The only thing off the top of my head I see as valid is avoiding trans fat.

LOVE this. Very convincing argument, we should get rid of it immediately! It would be an interesting social experiment to see how many people would actually vote against it :)

Hahaha I thought Amber too at first!

Stay away from canned products. The cans have Bisphenol A, unless of course they specifically say BPA free. Not only does this chemical mimic estrogen-like hormones, I recently read that it was found in multiple breast cancer tissue samples...

My friends wrote a parody about this! (To the tune of Battle Hymn of the Republic ) Chorus:
    Ban dihydrogen monoxide
    Ban dihydrogen monoxide
    Ban dihydrogen monoxide
    Before it kills us all!!!!

Look up dihydrogen monoxide on youtube, or even just google it. There are some very convinced (gullible?) people out there.

I don't get the Amber thing either... anyone care to explain that? Please?

There has been a person calling herself amber that has been hacking at least one girl's account, and posting these threads called "Hi, I'm Amber!!!" where she talks *kitten* on this one MFP member and says really horrible things about her, and then posts pictures of her with awful things written on them. It has happened over and over and over attacking the same girl. Its super creepy and weird.

The mods know about it and keep deleting the threads and blocking the user, but she/he/it comes back.
