Welcome everyone to the 3,500+ calories burned challenge. This weekly challenge has been going on for over a year now and it's open to everyone! So nice to see so many new faces these last few weeks - hope it continues; people are setting higher goals and getting more calories burned!
This is a weekly challenge to meet 3,500+ calories burned. You set your own calorie goal for the week (even if it's below 3,500 - you can work your way to that goal!). Each day post the calories you burned, current total and how many you have to go. That's it, not too hard, other than push push pushing yourself to hit your goal. Everyone is such an inspiration on this challenge. Keep up the good work for the people returning and welcome to the newbies.

Great! About 500 a day but some days will probably be higher and some days lower. Just set a goal you can reach for the week - which for some people might be 2,000 and some might be over 10,000!0 -

Last week I set out for 7000 and broke it by 1000 >.>
I normally do Zumba once a week. I'll be upping my sessions of Zumba to 2-3 this week to reach this, on top of the normal things I already do.

Left to go: NONE burned 6050 calories more than target. This week was an exception on cals burned. We've been fitting our kitchen on an off all week and it pushed the numbers WAY up!

Sounds like fun. Can I use my Fitbit activity calories (i.e. not counting my BMR) as my burn total or are we looking for discrete exercises (i.e. something I get my shorts and HRM out for)?

Assuming I can use Fitbit:
Absolutely - just set your goal to include all your Fitbit calories (looks like you did). I use my HRM for my workouts and then Fitbit for my walking, so my BMR is not included.0 -
